This has got to be best Thai place I know! My husband and I love Thai food and have eaten in a lotta places around here. This place had delicious food and huge portions; we both brought home leftovers. Drunken noodles and the chicken Pad Thai, amazing. read more

Amina Thai - Chicken Pad Thai - Thai Near Me - Silver Spring, Maryland

Amina never disappoints! They are my go-to for Thai in Silver Spring :) Just as a heads up, if you order through Yelp and request spicy, be prepared for ON FIRE spicy. Our spicy noodles had my husband and I in tears, happy tears, but tears nonetheless. It was yummy. You've been forewarned :) read more

Amina Thai is on point, and definitely far, far better than the abundant standard Thai restaurants in the area. We started with the roti canai (I know, I know - not Thai! But still - fantastic). The shrimp pot is extraordinary - shrimp, rice noodles, lots of basil, and a hint of spice - as are the drunken noodles which have that delicious caramelized taste. Dinner for 2 - with ample leftovers- came to $30, and the folks at Amina served our food quickly when we told them we were hurrying to the movies. read more

Pretty fast delivery and solid Thai food. I had the Thai fried rice, drunken noodles and spring rolls. Didn't care for the spring rolls but everything else was good. I would order here again! read more

Ordered delivery. Beyond disappointed. The Thai salad is a joke and my panang came with the smallest serving of rice, so small you could fit it all in a shot glass. I'll stick to Koa Thai from now on. 2 stars for the nice delivery dude. read more

Good food, but prices are higher than usual. Yesterday I ate there and my bill was $17, today I ordered the same , it was $19... go figure. I hate when places take advantage of customers like that. Not going there any more. read more

I'm not going to lie, this place was just "meh" to me. I got the food to go and it was a bit over priced for what you get. Would I eat here again probably not. Sorry, not trying to be a dick. read more

I've ordered delivery and pick up from this place. Service was excellent and the drunken noodles with chicken (my go-to dish) was good. I've got their menu on my refrigerator and they will go into my standard delivery rotation. read more

The food was wonderful but not spicy at all which is a hallmark of Thai cuisine. We ordered drunken noodles, ka prow chicken and Thai fried rice. And we made sure we asked for spicy. None of it was. I will definitely eat here again because the quality and quantity were great and we will just have to work on that spicy part. read more

This place has never disappointed! They're simply wonderful and tasty! Very polite and helpful!

Hands down best Thai food restaurant in Silver Spring! Order the Tofu Pad Thai and Yellow Pineapple curry and mix for a unique flavor. Also can't go wrong with the Drunken noodles or the Fish dishes. Pretty much everything on the menu is done amazing. Highly recommend it to any serious foodies - a hidden gem. read more

Had the pad ginger, spicy chicken kaprow, mango red curry. The spicy chicken kaprow and pad ginger were unbelievably good. The mango red curry was nothing special. The service was great, the atmosphere was mediocre, we were the only people there. All in all, Amina Thai wasn't anything special, but the food was worth a visit and a review read more

I was looking for a late quick take out and this little spot fit the bill. I was warmly greater, bantered a bit with the chef and walked out 10 minutes later with a huge portion of excellent "drunken noodles". I highly recommend this family owned local treat! read more

I tried the Rockville location first unaware that they had this location literally minutes from my door in Silver Spring. Absolutely yummy with great service. Have had their panang curry and drunken noodles and both were yummy! read more

Pretty disappointed. Ordered Gai Kua & Drunken Noodles with tofu. If you want to get 90% noodles with a smattering of protein and zero vegetables then this might be a good fit for you. Flavor profile was fine. But really? They can't put more than just a few pieces of tofu in their dish? And the gai kua - drunken noodles on a tiny bed of iceberg lettuce. I was able to locate the chicken. Barely. I wish you better luck than I had. The plus - delivery was timely and delivery guy was friendly. No issues there. read more

This is by far the best Thai food in the area. The pad Thai is amazing and has a great level of spice and the shrimp is cooked to perfection. They have excellent service whether you are dining in or picking up. They are also on Uber eats and DoorDash if you need delivery! I order here all the time & never disappoints! read more

Got delivery from here on cold rainy day. Parang curry was really good. Drunken noodles are also on point. Plus definitely get food from here again. read more

Came here on a whim last night with a friend. As soon as we came in we felt very welcome, service was great from the moment we came in until we left (we left right around closing, but they never pressured us to hurry up throughout the night). I was going to get my usual tum yum soup and he was going to get his pad thai, but i was feeling hungrier than usual and instead opted for the pad see ew (sp?). Anyways, I'm so glad I did! I've had plenty of thai, and the quality of this place is unquestionable...I can't say the same for most places. Maybe it has something to do with this place being halal. Both of our dishes had tons of flavor, and my friend's pad thai came with a lemon slice which was never offered at other thai restaurants but was so amazing once mixed into his dish. Highly recommend both! Also--they offer a tray of spicy sauces which includes vinegar, chili flakes and what i faintly remember as fish sauce? I'm not sure. Whatever, that's not important. What is important is that you try everything on the tray! Each option went so well with both the pad see ew as well as the pad thai. Definitely will be back! Sidenote: LARGE portions, had enough to take home for lunch today! read more

Amina Thai - Pad see ew (pad thai in the background ) - Thai Near Me - Silver Spring, Maryland

Totally fine, certainly not the best Thai you can get in silver spring but good in a pinch. I appreciated that they made my food spicy on request--so many Thai restaurants seem to dial it down under the (admittedly often fair) assumption that people don't know what they can handle. My nose was running, in a good way! I got drunken noodles and spicy eggplant. Both had great portion sizes--noodles could have had a bit more flavor but the eggplant was very nicely seasoned. read more

One of my regular spots! Super cute and well-decorated establishment in downtown silver spring. I've tried many of their dishes and they have been excellent--my favorite being their Drunken Noodles. It's one of my go-to spots to take friends who visit the area. It's also halal, making it convenient to not have to worry about the meat. They have an adorable prayer space in the back too (there's a sign at the front desk that reminds you) if you're there during prayer times and need to pray. Service is super friendly, and the chef even came out once to ask how the food was. read more

Eating at Amina Thai is a whole experience. The food is absolutely wonderful but the service and atmosphere keep you coming back. The owner is always around to banter with you, joke around, or scold you for some hilarious reason. It's definitely why my family requests to eat there whenever they're in town. The food comes out fairly quickly and its piping hot. You'll want to specify the spice level you want in your food to get it just right. I've enjoyed the specials, anything with wide rice noodles, and my new favorite, the pineapple yellow curry. I've also ordered delivery on a few occasions and the food came quickly and was no different than what I'd get in store, quality-wise. Being allergic to mushrooms, I double checked with the deliverer that there were none in my food and he called the chef direct to make sure! Love it! read more

A great option if you enjoy Thai. Wonderful service. They are halal, so no booze or pork. Nice dining areas with plenty of natural light. They don't shy away from the spice if you ask for it. read more

I had high hopes for this Thai food given the other reviews but I am severally disappointed. I ordered delivery via Yelp and was told it would take 45 minutes, already a high estimate. When 50 minutes had passed I contacted Yelp asking for an update and they assured me the order was on its way. I then called the restaurant after another 10 minutes and they said the food was on it's way. Finally, AN HOUR AND 37 MINUTES LATER, the food was delivered. The food itself was oily and had so much spice it was hard to eat, and I love spicy food. Really disappointing all around read more

We recently ordered Grubhub delivery from here. I normally get Pad See Ew from Thai places because I'm a creature of habit. I noticed that the Drunken Noodles were also wide, flat noodles, but spicy. It was delicious and spicy. I was so surprised! The noodles were the right amount of chew and bite. When it got too picante for me, I would throw in a bit of white rice to cut the heat. The portion was so huge I cut it in half for lunch the next day, but if I had more will power, I could have cut it in thirds.Regardless, I would definitely order this again. read more

We have been to this place many times now. The food is good. The noodles are the best things there, the curries not so much.

So I've been to the location in Rockville before. This one is much larger and a bit more upscale. The Thai iced tea is just the right concentration and perfectly sweet. The chicken satay was good but not mind blowing. Both the drunken noodles and pad Thai were delicious, although the pad Thai wasn't as spicy as we thought it'd be when we asked for spicy. It's great to have legit halal Thai, and I do hope they expand closer to Baltimore. I'd absolutely return and would bring others. read more

I absolutely love this place. I eat halal meat and am often times finding myself at a Mediterranean or South Asian type restaurant, so you know I'm going to get excited when I find something slightly different. This place is delicious and fresh. The staff is wonderful and if you're into seafood, you MUST try their salmon special! Honestly, the best item I've had on their menu so far. Yumm. read more

The delivery was seamless but the food left much to be desired. The spices were sweeter than I expected. I selected spicy for each dish and none were spicy. read more

This place is great for having the option to order delivery to your house! I ordered their spicy chicken kaprow, so so delicious! Perfect amount of vegetables, spiciness and flavor. Their pad thai was too dry to my liking, aka the noodles stuck to each other in a clump, so I suggest trying other dishes if you like to be adventurous. Thanks Amina! read more

I came here on a whim after a long day with my wife and I have to say that the service was excellent. Ordered mango curry for entree and chicken satay for appetizer. The flavors were excellent and I loved both. Definitely coming back read more

Ordered the drunken noodles and they were fantastic. My girlfriend got the tofu fried rice which I tried a bit of and that was also good. Service was quick and, most importantly for me, my water glass stayed full the entire time. Definitely would recommend. read more

Delicious food! Nice to know that there is a halal Thai place close to the DC area. I order the drunken noodles with chicken and my dad order the shrimp pho teak. Both dishes were freshly prepared and delicious! read more

Guys, I have seen the light. I have tried many of their dishes. Some are good and others are great. My favorite right now is Pad Ginger, and I don't even like ginger. I swear it will knock your socks off. I never regret picking up from Amina. Definitely one of my go-to restaurants. read more

New Thai restaurant in downtown Silver Spring. We had the red pumpkin curry and spicy fried rice, both of which were great. Friendly staff, got us out in time to catch our movie. We'll be back soon. read more

Very nice and friendly staff. I ordered to go and everything was packed nicely and ready when I walked in. Tum Kha soup was delicious and chicken pad Thai was pretty good as well. Their spicy Kaprow (chicken) wasn't very spicy or really that delicious (pad Thai and soup were better). I'm not too picky about my food so I ate everything but nothing to write home about. I did appreciate the option for brown rice though! And the pepper flakes on the side were HOT read more

My go-to Thai dish is pad kaprow with tofu. I always order it as my "tester" when I visit a new Thai restaurant, but I've already tried it at their Rockville location, so I decided to try the mango red curry with tofu. I'm in trouble - I want to make this dish my new go-to but I don't think they have it anywhere else! #firstworldproblems haha. I know that there are at least 3 other Thai restaurants in the immediate area, but it's definitely worth giving Amina Thai a try. Also, although it didn't apply for me, they state that all of their meat is halal. read more

This place is great! The food we have ordered (ranging from various currys and chef specialties) have never failed to satisfy. The delivery is prompt and the prices are great for what you order. I hope this place sticks around! read more
