Service was lousy, never got bread for the table. The waiter was awful no personality and never asked if we needed anything. Surf and turf dinner and the lobster came out burnt and stuck in the shell. I asked him to take it back which he gave me a dirty look for. My wife and I have been wanting to try here since they moved into the new location. The food was very good but the service was terrible. The waiter wasn't clear when telling us the specials. We thought we ordered the stone crab claws for an appetizer but were surprised when it came out as oysters and stone crab claws. When we questioned the appetizer the waiter said he told us that it was an oyster and crab appetizer. Neither my wife or myself heard this and then waiter seemed to be annoyed. The majority of the staff were not very nice. When the bill arrived it was like here you go now get out. There is a lot of competition in the area and we wI'll try them the next time. We were so excited to be going out to dinner at their new restaurant for my sister in laws birthday celebration. I called at lunchtime a few days ago and made reservations for a party of 7 on their patio. There was no confusion that I wanted a table on their patio. We planned the date around the weather and it was a beautiful night to eat outside. I also spent an afternoon baking a birthday cake and decorating it. Because it was heavy and the platter was flimsy I put the cake and strawberries on a half sheet pan. When we got there on time we were told they don't make reservations for the patio and it would be an hour or so before we could be seated on the patio. Funny enough they didn't have our table ready inside the restaurant either. They weren't very nice saying I made the reservations on line which accounted for the mix. I woukd have left but we had family and I didn't want to ruin the evening so we took the indoor table. We had a nice meal. They brought the cake out with candles lit and outside of worrying about getting sick we had a nice evening. Then to add another level of insult they didn't bring my sheet pan out. When I asked they went looking for it. Then the OWNER came out and claimed he had video showing only the platter no sheet tray suggested we left it in the car. Too bad the new place is much better than their old place food was good service adequate given the crowd but the rude method for dealing with problems means we will NEVER go back as long as this owner is in business. It has always been said that staff learn from their boss how to resolve conflict. This staff for sure learned from this owner to blame the customer when there's a mistake. We left angry and concerned that our health will suffer in a couple of weeks. read more

We made a reservation as we had heard good things about this restaurant. We dined on a Thursday night at 7 pm. As much as we were looking forward to going here, I unfortunately have to say that this restaurant did not live up to our expectations. The waitstaff was a bit stiff and unfriendly and we felt like we were being rushed through dinner and out the door. Not only that, but the noise level in the restaurant was absolutely horrendous. It sounded more like a loud cafeteria than a fine dining restaurant. The food was okay. Nothing to rant or rave about. We ordered an appetizer of bruschetta, my husband had chicken, and I had veal with a side salad. The side salad was good but my veal was rubbery. I ended up pushing the veal aside and just eating my potatoes and veggies. The chicken was your run of the mill chicken plate, nothing special about it. Dessert was good as we ordered the cannoli cake and I have to say, that was pretty impressive. For the amount of money we spent in an attempt to enjoy a nice evening out, this place left a lot to be desired. Especially with the price of everything going up and it becoming more difficult to go out to eat regularly we were disappointed with this one. I came here for a rehersal dinner party. It was buffet style since there was about 30-40 people. The penne al vodka was definitely the favorite of all guests! It was super delicious. I tried the pork loin which the Italian chef said was the best in South Jersey. It was pretty good. I also had a piece of steak that they cut right at the buffet. It was cooked perfectly. I tried the salmon and it was good but not memorable. The antipasto platter didn't look desireable-just an assortment of Italian meats with peppers and olives. If you're going here, I would recommend trying the penne al vodka. Everyone at my table went up for seconds for that! They had cheesecake, tartufo, and tiramisu for dessert. The cheesecake is Italian style (pastiera, which is made with ricotta cheese) which I LOVED but people who were unfamiliar were so-so about it. It was great, just don't expect the traditional cream cheese cheesecake. The tiramisu was not good. The men's and women's room were both clean and nicely decorated. I had dinner here recently. I am in agreement with the fellow who commented on the décor . The dining room is quite stark and outdated , thus if you are looking for ambience this is not the place. I'm not sure why there are no pictures on the walls, perhaps even a candle on the tables . The flounder was not fresh , although the waitress insisted it was. I would ask any waitress who insists that their restaurant only serves fresh fish to hold their tongue. At best you are insulting your guests. I grew up on the water, I know when fish is old vs just caught. The eggplant was served cold. The sauce was quite good , but cold rollatini ??? Also the kitchen "ran out" of capellini ?? Is this not an Italian restaurant ??. The bread was cold and uninteresting . It feels as though this restaurant is tired , including the chef and staff. I dont believe I'll be returning. The food and service were very good. My only negative is that when a reservation is made the staff should inform you that you will be eating on a patio and not in the actual restaurant. The portable heaters were suffocating. $45.00 is a lot of money to ask to sit in a tent on a patio in February to eat a piece of sole. I've never dined at Amici as a regular customer. I don't live near Cherry Hill, but was invited to a large surprise party there for a friend (40 invitees, in their upstairs private room). Usually, when the menu is limited (in this case, to 4 entrees, which isn't too shabby), you can expect each entree to come out the same. I asked our waiter if he could request that my salmon be cooked rare. He confirmed, "you really mean RARE?". I answered yes, that I wanted the inside of the salmon to be roughly the equivalent of sashimi, as long as th chef was comfortable with that. (If the fish isn't really fresh, a responsible chef won't cook it truly RARE.) I was AMAZED that the salmon actually came out RARE, and even more amazed that it was fresh and delicious (and there were no adverse digestive after-effets)! The appetizers, salad and dessert courses were also delicious. But my biggest take-away is how the staff actually listened and responded to my special request. You can bet I'll go to Amici again if I am ever in that area! read more

We reserved our table a few weeks before last Saturday's dinner. We specifically requested not to sit in the outdoor room that they added. Upon arrival, we were taken to that very same canvas-walled room. Our table was next to the canvas-wall and was very cold. We moved to another table directly under a heater. At the table level, the heat was extremely uncomfortable. I rolled up my slaves and stayed, not wanting to ruin a long awaited night out. We spoke with the front desk and were told that their system showed that our reservations were taken by the owner, and he does not notate guest requests, even though he made no comment while taking our reservation. The Mussel appetizer and bread were very good. Our main courses were both tasteless. We actually felt mis-treated and we will never return to this establishment. We were both so offended that we had this horrible experience. Driving away, the annoyance went from 10 to 9 while our thoughts turned to the fact that we were able to use our gift certificate rather than throwing 100.00 down the garbage disposal...... read more

Ordered from Amici's for my first experience with them since moving to the area. Pretty quick turn around for the late hour I ordered but that was one of the only positives. Calamari smelled less than fresh and appeared to be the frozen rings. The veal parms breading was pasty as if not fully cooked and the chicken with shrimp & crab was tasteless. The spaghetti and the sauce that came with the veal was pretty good. I might go again if I were in a bind as the prices are reasonable, but I'd be sure to stick to the basics like spaghetti or the baked pasta dishes. read more

Oh my God! If you want the best italian food in a 50 mile radius....go here! We eat here at least once a week and are always astounded at the quality of the dishes, esp given the reasonable price. They really excel at seafood...my wife had Chilean sea bass the other night and it was the best fish she ever had in her life, fresh, firm and clean tasting. We went here with another couple and everyone was satisfied with their meal but nobody raved about anything in particular. Two of us had the shrimp fra Diablo and one of us the shrimp arrabiatta. The fourth had veal piccata, which I tasted. It was tender but not lemony enough for my taste. My beet salad was good as were the salad accompanying one of the meals and the Caesar salad. We were seated about 15 minutes after our reservation time, but the service was good and the staff friendly once we were seated. read more

Courteous, professional and efficient waiters: courses timed well, table maintained, proper check backs, not intrusive. Food was great - chef came out to the table and offered me Saltimbocca alla Romana, which is not on the menu. Veal was well prepared and seasoned - not overpowering with the sage. I recommend the insalata Bianca to start - light, crisp and refreshing. I'd like to check them out for dinner sometime. read more

They completely ruined Mother's Day for my entire family! We placed an order with DoorDash at 10:56am for 6pm delivery and ended up receiving at 8:15 (more than 2 hours later)!!! Thanks to my DoorDasher who was kind enough to wait 2 hours for my order we were able to actually eat something for dinner, but the food quality was not what we were used to. This restaurant clearly accepted way more than they could handle simply because of their greed to capitalize on the holiday orders. Poor business etiquette and subpar food quality! There are plenty of great Italian restaurants in the area, will certainly will be ordering somewhere else. read more

How is it One person walks around to tell you the specials, he comes back to get your order and when you order veal with crab you were told that they do not have crab meat because it's $60 a pound versus it used to be $12 and now you have to decide something else to eat. Extremely disappointed in the lack of COVID precautions in this restaurant. I am immune-compromised and on biologic infusion therapy (similar to chemotherapy). I asked our waiter if he could please put on a mask when coming to our table since he was reading the special right above my head, he looked at me like I was crazy and responded with, "Oh, we don't do masks here." I said okay, but I am on very severe medication so if you could please just put on one while at our table that would be greatly appreciated :). " He looked at me and said, "We don't do masks here, but I can stand at the other end of the table." We made an 8pm reservation and waited an hour to be seated. The food was not worth waiting that long for. They overbook and do not even apologize for it. The hostess kept saying the wait is another 10 minutes and then just kept trying to push eating on the outside patio for a shorter wait. The veal was a little rubbery. We discovered Amici at the beginning of COVID and have not looked back! They have been consistently fantastic! We have only used them for take out but we love this place. Even the take out shellfish held beautifully. My son consistently hits the chicken Parm and my husband and I have tried several different menu items. My review is based on an attempted dining experience. Booked reservation for 2, for our 15 year anniversary. We were sat immediately . 1st con was the table placement. We were put at the table directly by the front door/walkway which was also directly up against a large pillar which took away from any nice ambiance/ elbow space there was to be had. (Dining room was VERY small). It took almost 5 minutes for our server to approach us. I have food restrictions due to celiac disease. Once our server approached us we asked a few questions to ensure which foods would be safe for me. Not only did the server have a cocky attitude, but he was very inconsistent in his responses to what he assured me was "it's gluten free, what ever I want it's gluten free." His first response when I told him about my food restrictions being gluten free, he said "what do you want" (as in what item do I want to eat) but since I had just arrived, before he served even water... my response was "I'm not sure yet but how about appetizers, which ones can be gluten free." He said all of them... which I know is not the case. So I asked about the stuffed long hots. He said "yes gluten free gluten free everything gluten free whatever you want" ( reminded me of someone who just tells you everything you want to hear but it's not actually true) when I basically grilled him about the "stuffed" part. He basically asked me if prosciutto is gf.. to which I said "wait what? Idk you tell me.." and he then says the stuffed long hots will come out plain (unstuffed) thankfully I pushed the question bc otherwise I would have ordered thinking I was getting gluten free STUFFED long hots but really it would have been plain peppers on a plate.... he remained cocky and in his demeanor... so we ended up leaving. read more

This is the worst restaurant I've ever been to. I went there with my gf. We are an interracial couple. The busboy and waiter staff harrassed my gf by giving her harrassing looks and jealously drooling for her throughout our meal. She was deeply upset by this. Even if you're not a minority man, keep your gfs and wives away from this restaurant. The staff might harrass your wives and gf too. Additionally, the food wasn't good either. read more
