this place is just unbelievable. the chef-owner, Alex is almost always present. in almost any restaurant that usually means that everything is running smoothly. some folks need to get used to the fact that the staff here is everywhere all at once. if you need anything, just ask somebody for it. i find the decor pleasant and inviting. the food is prepared with a great deal of skill and care. Considering the quality, it's quite reasonably priced. i've been going here for over 20 years and it's always good. the place gets crowded on weekends but after 20 years they know me by know and the staff really goes out of their way to make sure everything is good for my wife and me. the best way to achieve favored nation status in any popular restaurant like this is to show up on non-weekends ...weekdays, lunches, etc. my worst fear is that it gets to be a "destination" place and then even i wont be able to get in!! read more

We went to Amici on recommendation from a friend. Insofar as the food experience, the food is second to none. Prepared well, very tasty. From a value perspective, I paid exactly what I thought I should pay for a meal of this caliber. There are three ambiance issues that moved the overall score from a "five" to a "four". One, the table are jammed in and I felt very cramped, particularly at a two seat table literally next to a pole and in the center of the room. Two, the room is loud. The low ceiling and other acoustics amplify conversations from each table and make it very difficult to hear. Three, the room lacks charm, which, given the feel the place is going for, just doesn't make much sense. If you are looking for some great food in the area, this is definitely a wonderful spot. For charm and quiet, at least on a Saturday night, this may not be your place. read more

I want to like Amici. I've dined here 3-4 times and while the ambiance and service have been acceptable, it seems like the food is mass produced. The feeling I get is they take a sheet pan of plain, unseasoned chicken cutlets and change which sauce they pour over it when it's plated. I say this because everyone who got a chicken dish at our table felt the same way. It seems like it lacks depth and corners are being cut. I have enjoyed my experiences for the most part so I won't completely write them off if a friend wants to go there, but I won't be making my own reservation here. read more

October 17, 2024 Amici restaurant in Cherry Hill. A very Rude owner. We have been regular customers at this establishment and have always enjoyed our visits. Yesterday, we hosted our annual club dinner there. As we did last year, we booked the event months in advance and requested the usual option include cappuccino for those who wanted it, at no extra charge. However, when we received the bill, there was an additional charge of $50 for the cappuccinos. I informed the waiter that we had confirmed twice that this was included in our arrangement. The waiter mentioned that the owner disagreed. I approached the owner to discuss the issue, but I found him to be extremely rude. His dismissive tone was unlike anything I have ever experienced in a business setting. It felt as though he was judging me based on my skin color, which added an unpleasant note to an otherwise festive evening. We chose not to escalate the matter further or respond in kind, and we paid the full bill, including the additional charge for cappuccino. I am writing this to warn potential customers about the owner's behavior. We have decided to boycott Amici until the owner publicly apologizes for his unprofessional demeanor and donates the extra charge to a charity of his choice for a humanitarian cause. read more

We were started with a nice fresh bread basket and ordered the calamari and a soft shell crab appetizer. The calamari was fried to the perfect golden brown served with a nice marinara sauce and the soft shell crab over salad was also very good. For my entree I had the Penne Con Salmon which was a nice penne vodka topped with diced salmon. The sauce was very flavorful and the salmon was very good also. We also ordered a Veal dish with assorted vegetables that was very fresh and delicious as well. We ended our meal with a wonderful tartufo dessert topped with chocolate and some cappuccinos. We were a table of 6 and were accompanied by two tables of 10 around usual. Picked this place because all of the reviews seemed to rave about this place and how delicious it was. We got the calamari, buffalo mozzarella, and an orange + beet salad as an appetizer. Calamari was very chewy but both other apps were fantastic. I got a scallop and shrimp pasta special they had. The shrimp were extremely tough but the scallops were super fantastic. My partner got the veal Parmesan which was also rather tough for a very delicate piece of meat. We got coffee and carrot cake plus a creme Bruce cheese cake which was the best part of the entire night. 10/10 would recommend getting dessert here. Don't forget Amichi's is BYOB read more

First time at Amici in Cherry Hill. The remodel of the last restaurant (Denim) is amazing. There are no more rooms, just one big room. They also have outdoor seating. The service was good. A bit leisurely at times but overall it was good. The food was very good. The different sauces were all tasty in their own way and none of the meals were super heavy. Everything was light and flavorful. From the tender veal, to the chicken, to the homemade lobster ravioli, no complaints. The desserts were good as well. read more

It was our first time here. We were seated outside. I had the Amici salad as an appetizer and my husband had the sausage & broccoli Rabe with white beans. His appetizer could easily serve 2 people. I had the pasta seafood special with shrimp, crab & 1/2 a lobster over GF pasta. It was supposed to come over homemade tagliatelle, but I'm gluten sensitive. My husband had the pork chop milanese. My friends and I had a reservation and we were put outside in the tent. Very cold , even the waiter said how cold it was. When the waiter came to give us bread and oil, he dropped it all ove the steps. He took our order after he tried to wipe it up ( very poorly ). We finally got our meal. And a steak My pappardelle was stuck together in a clump Chicken parm was like rubber, seafood spaghetti there was barely seafood on it. The place was absolutely packed and servers were literally running around and into each other. They could not fit another table in the jammed dining room, unlike their website pics. Lots of parties and very loud. Food, although standard fare and plentiful, lacked any depth of flavor, and rather bland. Recently had an excellent baby sprinkle at this BYOB. Could not have asked for a better shower! All guests enjoyed fantastic food and service at this afternoon party. The family style appetizers were outstanding and could be considered a meal. Surprisingly, they were considered party of the lunch. The staff of servers were excellent. The superb food was ordered and served promptly, as well as the desserts. The attention to guests at the shower made this a five star event. The outside grounds are well maintained and look lovely. I loved the attention to detail from the well-executed pastas, entrees, and desserts to the thoughtful and friendly service from the full staff. We came here on Friday for dinner, were very impressed and returned Sunday for lunch. The seafood pastas were especially impressive ; scallops, shrimp, lobster, tuna, calamari all tasted very fresh and were cooked to perfection. Definitely one of the best Italian restaurants in Cherry Hill! I got the special summer Burrata salad with peaches, arugula, shaved apples and parmigiana. Absolutely delicious and very well balanced. I also got the linguini special with shrimp and crab meat in white wine sauce. The taste of each individual component is distinct but all works together in harmony. The ambiance is really nice inside and out. I sat outside and the weather was gorgeous. The service is great and very friendly. Ate here for the first time on New Year's Eve. Food was good but not very kid friendly. My grandson who is 4 years old had the chicken fingers and fries for $25, ok I understood it's a holiday price fix menu. But the kicker was for dessert there were 4 choices, no sorbet, no ice cream nothing a child would like. So we asked the waiter if they could put a little whip cream in a bowl for my grandson and he said sure. He brought out a small bowl of whip cream with a little chocolate syrup. So after we all received desserts we felt like we were being rushed out, which once again it was a holiday and people were waiting to be seated. I gave the waiter my credit card for the check and when we left I realized we were charged $9 for a small bowl of whip cream. So $34 for a kid's meal with whip cream. There was a shard jagged piece of black plastic was found in my food, with sharp, jagged edges that would have called serious internal damage if I swallowed it. When I brought it to the waiters attention, he apologized immediately and tells me it's most likely a piece of plastic from a to go container, which is exactly what it looked like I asked to speak to the owner, who was rude in a professional manner. I wasn't asked to pay, but this experience was a setting for me and my fiancé and myself this was my second experience here but I cannot recommend amici to anyone. Also, later that night, my fiancé got incredibly sick from small amount of the meal we enjoyed that didn't contain dangerous fragments of plastic. read more

I rode by a few weeks prior, always wanting to try something new I suggested to my wife. Inside and outside Appearance is upscale. The only complaints we have would be regarding the seating, as we felt cramped in a 2 seat table up against a column in the middle of the restaurant. Also, while the Waitstaff were dressed and acted professionally, it would have been nice if they were more attentive to see if we needed a refill on our beverages, and check back with us after our entrees were served to see if all came out to our liking. We had a "Meat and Cheese Board" appetizer that was really good. Consisted of fruit, nuts, meats, bruschetta, cheese and olives. My bride had the Chicken Carciofi and I had the spaghetti Pasitano. Both were good, but nothing to write home about. Afterwards we had a slice of strawberry layer cake, Coffee and a Cappuccino (cappuccino was very good). read more

During my most recent experience here, I came with a group of 11. Not only was the service terribly slow, but the waiter was rude throughout the entire experience. He hardly tended to our table, avoided eye contact each time I tried to get his attention and didn't seem to have any interest in being there. You might have better luck here if you're a small party- but if you're a large group, look elsewhere. read more

Food was pretty decent, however, service sucked. Also, the fact that there is valet at this small location makes no sense to me. It was not so busy when I was there and the valet guy was trying to make me valet. I told him no and he made me park across the street cause the spots were "all for valet cars". So I had to walk from the other lot, passed the empty lot with coned off spots just to have my dinner. I'd go back if the service improved and if the parking lot accommodates self parking. read more

We saw this place on facebook and decided to book our daughters baby shower here! I cant even put into words how amazing the experience was! The food was outstanding, my guests are still raving about Amici's food. The calamari and chicken parmigiana were out of this world. The staff were also able to accommodate some of our guests dietary needs. The staff were all so amazing. They helped us with everything we needed as well as setting up. The waiters were extremely professional in taking our orders and making our guests feel at home. This time I went it was packed on a Saturday night. The bread and olive oil to start was incredible. The waiter took down our meals within 5 minutes and it was served about 12 minutes later. Tried Amici Ristorante for the first time last Friday. The restaurant is located in a strip mall on Kresson and Brace Roads. The space is fairly large and holds a good amount of diners. It is pleasant inside with linen tablecloths and chandeliers. The service at Amici was excellent. They have quite a few servers and everyone was very pleasant and attentive. We were served warm, fresh bread and as soon as we finished with our first basket, another one promptly appeared. The prices at Amici are priced well also. Most items on the menu were in the $15.00 range for an entrée. Everything is al a Carte so soups or salads would be extra. I had the Salmon San Marinio. This was grilled salmon in a dill sauce. The portions size was pretty big and it came with really delicious mashed potatoes. My wife had the Linguine con Frutti de Mare with shrimp, calamari, muscles and clams. Amici wasn't the best Italian restaurant we have been to in the area the dishes we had were good, but nothing earth shaking. However Amici is still good choice for Italian and the prices are very reasonable in a nice setting with exceptional service. read more

When your thanksgiving party dwindles down to only four people... you go out to eat instead of cooking a turkey. Amici's had a price set menu for thanksgiving for $35 or a la carte options from the regular menu. We had a reservation for 5pm, and weren't seated until almost 5:30pm. Normally I am not one to complain about waiting for a reservation, especially on a holiday, but several parties came in after us and were seated before us. When we were finally seated, we sat next to the window in the front and it was COLD. Between the door opening constantly and the lack of insulation on the windows, it made for a chilly meal. The thanksgiving menu included a starter, entree and dessert. They offered a typical thanksgiving plate, which my dad got and loved, but I decided to go for the branzino. This was a pretty good deal considering it cost about $28 on the regular menu, but was included in one of the options for the set $35 menu. The fish was delicious and we all enjoyed our meals. The servings were all fairly large and I had enough for leftovers. The service was a little slow, but I do understand it was a little hectic with the holiday. At the end, we were given the wrong check and were charged for extra meals, but our server was able to fix it right away. There was also a strange issue with the bathroom situation and one of the two bathrooms available were out of commission. Honestly, the food was great but Amici's did not leave a huge impression on me. There's certainly no lack of options for italian restaurants in New Jersey or Cherry Hill, so I can't say this will be at the top of my list in the future. read more
