Octopus appetizer. Highly recommend
Iris Z.

Every dish was well-balanced and nicely presented. Highly recommend the octopus appetizer. It was cooked to perfection with a crispy, charred outside and tender inside. The squid ink pasta could have had more squid ink but the sauce was phenomenal. Shrimps were very large and tender. The risotto was also well-balanced. Overall, it was a very good dinner.

Great service! Octopus appetizer was delicious. Loved that it had capers olives and arugula. Cooked perfectly.

Special of the day: linguine cooked with pancetta in a blush pink sauce with crab and shrimp

I am not normally a big pasta girl, but this place was fantastic. I think it's the best pasta in the area - and it's homemade!! All of the food we ordered was really good but standouts: The dish I had (pictured): 10/10. Ate the entire thing and used the leftover bread to scoop up the sauce. Chef's kiss Parpadelle cavatore: 10/10. Also delicious. So much flavor Spaghetti Silva: 9/10. Not a big tomato sauce girl but this was my parents' favorite and a solid choice

Mare Monte is one of the best Italian restaurants in New Jersey. The Gnocchi Gorgonzola with walnuts was incredible, tender gnocchi with a rich, creamy sauce perfectly balanced by the walnuts. The warm, inviting atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff make for an amazing dining experience. Highly recommend!

Wow!! Just Wow! Went for NYE and everything from service to food to atmosphere was amazing!! We cannot wait to go back!

The food was delicious! It came out piping hot, literally too hot for me to eat right away but I appreciated that. Both pasta dishes were 10/10. Calamari and Cesar salad 10/10.

Mare Monte is towards the end of strip of downtown Haddonfield. It is a cute and tiny Italian restaurant that has incredible food. They offer a wide range of pastas to choose from and they even have gluten free pastas. Their waiters and waitresses are well trained and are knowledgeable about the menu. Now let's talk food. I highly recommend starting with their octopus and calamari. The octopus is tender and melts in your mouth. It is served on a bed of arugula. The calamari is your classic dish that you can never go wrong with it. Fried to perfection. Any dish with risotto is a must! I got the Risotto Monte. All the flavors paired so nicely together and I could not put my fork down. It was absolutely incredible. Everyone else got Spaghetti Silva and Risotto Mare Monte. Both of these dishes were delicious and extremely flavorful. We all left extremely satisfied. Mare Monte is a great place for a date night, girls night, or a family gathering. You can also host events here as well. When you go do not forget to bring your wine because it is BYOB. Run and don't walk because once you go here once, you will be wanting to come back for more.

The food here was great it's a nice quiet place for a casual dinner, our server wasn't very friendly but service was fast! I'd give them another try!

The service and food were amazing!! This is definitely a hidden gem in Haddonfield that needs to be unearthed by the masses. Everything we ordered was delicious and fresh. My only regret is that we couldn't order more. I will definitely be back because there a handful of items I need to try. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and the music playing was a hit! Classical adaptations of todays hits...very Bridgerton. We will definitely be returning!

Burrata, mortedella and melon

What a charming and romantic restaurant in Haddonfield. We ordered mostly the evening specials because they sounded amazing. The meal started with grilled octopus over broccoli rabe and the burrata with melon and mortedella . The octopus was very tender and not chewy at all. I loved that it came over broccoli rabe but the tomatoe caper sauce was so good. I really enjoy a salty and sweet flavor combination and the burrata special hit that for me. My husband order the veal chop special that was delicious. The veal was cooked properly topped with jumbo lump crabmeat in an amazing gorganzola sauce. That sauce was so good I would've eaten my shoe in it. For my dish I had the gnocchi vodka. The gnocchi are homemade and hit that comfort food craving. We ended our meal with on a high note with a chocolate creme brule. My husband and I enjoyed the food and service by our waiter Aldo. This is a BYOB and we will definitely be back.

My dish was Lobster Ravioli: Homemade ravioli stuffed with lobster - crabmeat - basil rose cognac cream sauce. It was a wonderful entree full of taste and a great comfort food. On a cold day it was warm and filling. This was definitely a restaurant I would return back to.

My husband got the trio of pasta but only enjoyed two of the three. The rest of the table raved about the mushroom special almost licking the plate clean - I am not a fans of mushrooms so I'll trust them. Overall I always enjoy coming here, I don't feel like I've been ripped off when the bill hits the table and service is usually good. I do enjoy sitting outside better than inside when able it's a prettier feel to me.

I do not eat seafood and was confused by the fishy smell and presence of meat. Luckily it was a simple cross-table mixup. Furthermore, the mushroom gnocchi was horrible. It was made with pure whipping cream, which is probably a valid Italian approach, but it had to have been 100g of fat, and it tasted like warm thick milk, with no flavor and minimal mushrooms. I felt sick to my stomach the rest of the night. The restaurant was packed and tastefully decorated. They have a great signature cocktail list but I couldn't hear myself or anyone at my table. Average decibel level was 85 through the course of our 90 minute stay. My ears felt raw once I got outside. Lastly, it's a mandatory (and complimentary) valet for parking. Just be prepared. They don't use batter for the squid and it was still so crunchy and flavorful. The marinara was exquisite. For entrees I had the chicken francese which was battered well, and had a tangy lemony taste. Served with snap peas and mashed potatoes. The chicken parm was a classic and fantastic choice, served with a nice oozing amount of cheese.
