Stick to the pizza, wings and a decent little burger with fries. "Italian" food is really awful. Spinach dip with housemade bread is solid. But really you go here for the best drinks and staff in town! It is Madison's hot spot for food, music and fun. Music every weekend and always something happening on week nights. They brew their own beer too! And Elvis might show up...never know at Amicis read more

We were on our way home from game day in Athens on 9/14/19 and decided to stop to eat at Amici. Bad decision. The place wasn't very busy, but it took almost 10 minutes for our server to greet us and take our drink orders. Five minutes later, I got the beer I ordered, but my husband and daughter were still waiting on their sodas. When our server finally brought their soda, she then decided to take our food other. We ordered standard items, with no special requests. It took over 25 minutes our food to be served. My husband liked his Philly cheesesteak and fries. My daughter liked her chicken fingers and fries. My tortellini Alfredo was lukewarm and grainy, with chewy pasta. I would have expected that an Italian restaurant could at least get tortellini Alfredo right. However, Amici did not get it even close to right. We won't be back. read more

I ordered the chicken Parmesan sub sandwich. It took it a half hour to arrive and when it did it was lukewarm at best. The Breaded chicken was chopped into such small bits there was no breading really left on the pieces that I did eat. the marinara was completely flavorless. And if you get the house salad I do not recommend their creamy Italian dressing. It was more like congealed Italian dressing and was thicker than Elmers glue. I did try a flight of their house peers and out of the four , the Saison was the only beer that really had any kind of flavor to it that was totally light and overly fruity in aroma and flavor. About the only compliment I can give this restaurant is the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. And they did comp the sandwich that I returned the kitchen after two bites read more

COVID ISSUES, TERRIBLE SERVICE Amici used to be a great spot for pizza and beer - for years it was our go-to in Madison, and we shared many happy memories there. Alas, the move to the new location was a massive fail. As many others have noted, the service is terrible. Beginning with the hostess, including the server, and ending with the manager. Our last visit will be our last visit...rude hostess sat us at a dirty table, a bee flew into my beer, the waitress got it out (yay) and didn't replace the beer (boo), and charged me for the beer (double boo). The in-house brewed beer was straight awful anyway. COVID wise - these guys aren't taking it seriously at all. The servers were walking around with their masks pulled to their chins, and the hostess seated tables back-to-back, in direct violation of the Governors mandate in place at the time of our visit. There was zero social distancing. We asked to speak to the manager and he made us wait 45 minutes to talk to him, then he came over and proceeded to tell us that he had talked to corporate and they were "not going off the recent mandate." So we paid our (unadjusted) bill and left. This is a place that places profit over the safety of its staff and customers, and has obviously not invested in training its management team. Oh, and the pizza, which came out almost an hour after we ordered it was a solid 5 on a scale of 1-10. What a disappointment. read more

Amazing wings! I am obsessed with the XXHot wings and pizza slice combo! I always opt for the Pineapple Express and it never disappoints! My friends and I love to sit on the patio and play cornhole whenever we're there! read more

My husband and I stopped into Amici on our way home to Atlanta. We sat on the "patio" with our pup and enjoyed a warm February afternoon in Madison before continuing home. Just a few comments: Our server was fantastic. Super friendly and attentive. Also sweet to our dog. We ordered some beers, which were reasonably priced, a side Caesar salad, and a Woodsman pizza. The salad was good, nothing special, but not bad. The pizza was killer. I couldn't stop commenting on it. The prosciutto and mushrooms were just so good together, and who doesn't love a pepperoni? Overall it was a great stop. Affordable, delicious, and great service. What more could you ask for? read more

Pleasantly surprised! Came down to Madison to walk around with our puppy and we sat outside. Friendly staff and good food! The family ordered pizza, subs chicken fingers. All delicious! My chicken parm sub was SO good and my husband enjoyed his chicken Caesar wrap. All staff were wearing masks and it was very safe outside.. read more

Happened to be passing by and dropped into this restaurant for lunch. Like the Ambiance inside but decided to take table outside because the weather was perfect. Ordered a Athenian calzone and my wife had a chicken sandwich. It was about 45 minutes after we place the order before the food arrived. Food was very good service was a bit slow but all in all I would visit this place again. read more

Very long wait for a pizza and salad but both were very yummy once we got them. I'm pretty sure they were understaffed. The antipasto salad at Madison Amici's is way better than the salad from Covington Amici's. read more

WHAT A WASTE OF AN EVENING! We arrived at 6:30 and told there was a 10-15 minute wait. We had 5 adults and 1 child. We were seated at 7:00. It took 10 minutes for the server to take our drink order. We were able to order food at 7:30. The server kept coming by telling us our food was next, they're plating your food right now, etc. At 9:00, we still hadn't received our food, so we paid for our drinks an left. read more

We are new to the Madison area, thought this restaurant looked inviting, so we went for dinner. The staff is friendly, but it was all downhill from there. Waited forever for our food, the food took forever to get and was cold. We ordered wings and pizza which was served on a pizza pan and wings in a basket, the pizza was okay at best and the wings were horrible. We weren't giving any, plates to eat from, we asked our server for small plates to eat our wings and pizza from and never received them, although, she had time to take selfies with other employees. VERY unprofessional!. A group of employees were hovered around the bar being very loud, again unprofessional! Needless to say we will not be going back. If you are looking for a nice place to enjoy pizza, wings and enjoy an evening out, this is definitely not the place. read more

Ordered to go and drove the 3 miles off the interstate as I was just passing through GA. Well worth it. 10/10. Antipasto was huge , 3 people could share it with left overs. They even do pizza by the slice. The blonde Greek was great. I think a large salad and two big slices of pizza were more than enough for $20 and it was delicious. Super friendly kid working at the front. Thank you 10/10 stars read more

Answer the f#%^&*ing phone!!! The meal would have been a lot more enjoyable if the phone had not been constantly ringing. A good waitress would also have been an improvement. Waiting 30 minutes for a salad is a bit much, although the salad was good when it finally arrived. I wonder how much longer it would have taken if I hadn't asked the waitress "how much longer?". The dining room was 80% empty so no reason to take so long. I do like the new place & it has good parking. read more

The three meals I bought were over $60. The meals were specifically itemized, the food was burned, the app came out with entree, gave wrong beverage, then did not bring the correct beverage again. The waitress did not care to ask how to fix any issues. The waitress came to the table to take the order, to bring drinks and the check. This is not the first time this has occurred. Do not recommend. read more

Pizza was good, but time-based service was poor. Arrived Friday at 5 pm, so lightly busy. 10+ minutes for first contact. Drinks were delivered ok, but iced tea was weak. In-house IPA beer was great. Pizza was 20+ minutes for delivery. read more

This restaurant does not seem to be concerned about Covid. The wings were not that great. would not recommend unless you just want to drink heavily and possibly catch covid , staff is pretty hot looking.. read more

Stopped in for a late lunch. Food was great, absolutely no complaints. The waiter was very attentive. Didn't have to ask for refills and asked if I needed anything. I ordered buffalo chicken dip, pepperoni pizza, honey garlic wings (finger licking good), salad and tortellini. Everything was delicious. I would definitely recommend this location. Waited 40 mins for a wrong order. Didn't want to wait anymore so left. Kitchen always takes way too long. Drawer never has change. Staff is always a little disorganized. Food is ok. Only good to come here when there is no where else to go. read more

Wife and i spent the day exploring Madison, and was starving for lunch! She wanted bread sticks, so in we came to eat at Amici! They actually served a different kind of garlic bread stick, more like a loaf, but it was tasty. We also ordered mozzarella sticks that were about basic. The issue we had was the time it took to get our food. It seemed to take a long time to deliver 2 simple appetizers, and with us both being extremely hungry, it made it that much slower! After we ate, i wasn't feeling so great, and we left. Not sure if it was marinara sauce or not, but it didn't taste right. Didn't last long, so i am grateful i didn't get sick, but scared me enough that we didn't want to return. read more

By far the best Amici I've been to. The waitress did inform me it was the original. She was very friendly and the manager. My husband and I enjoyed our food but the place was pretty crowded. It also appeared that the AC wasn't working or was running poorly because it was so hot in that tiny space. We will most likely return to eat here since we live in Morgan County, hopefully it won't be as hot in there. read more

Delicious food, delicious drinks, and great event space and coordination! They hosted my rehearsal dinner and I couldn't have asked for a better evening :) read more

Disorderly checkin and wait list. Once we finally did get seated and began to attempt to order- they were out of far too many things. Draft beer, glasses to put beer in, etc. We had to even ask for napkins at the table. Our server was disheveled and moved on quickly (sometimes before we actually could ask for something) repeatedly. Pick another place- this one's not worth it. read more

I ordered 2 large pizza's for my son's birthday. It did not taste fresh or warm. It tasted like it was sitting out after it was cooked and was cold. I spent over $50 for something that was not worth the money. I won't be doing that again. read more

We ordered their smallest pizza, 12 wings with garlic added, 3 draft Guinness, 3 of their home brewed beers - it was 82 dollars and change, not including tip. True Story. read more

Went on a Friday night. The place was full. First the good. The food was great. Just had wings and the woodsman pizza, but these were great. Food came out in a good time for a packed restaurant. The new location is awesome. Now the front of house was a different story. When I arrived the host took my cell phone number and said they would text me when my table was ready. About 20 min later they are calling out names. Not sure why you took my cell number, but ok. Good thing I stayed near the hostess stand or I would have lost my table. When seated the the server took our drink order and disappeared for about 10 min. When she came back we ordered food and asked for straws. 15 min later no straws and no server. I had to get my own straws so problem solved. When the food arrived the food runner filled our empty drinks. Great job from the back of house. We never saw our server again. Once we were done I had to go find my server for the check. Not a great experience. Now the host stand had 3 people and they had a staff member opening the door for customers when they arrived and left. Nice touch, but this staff member could have been better used on the floor. They were very short staffed on the server side. Our server had way too many tables. I have been to the Macon location and the Macon store is great. You need more servers on a Friday night and utilize the staff you have better. Great food, but lousy service. Needs some work. read more

We enjoyed our stop on the way home. The food was very tasty. The server was so nice and the ambiance was fun.

Shout Out to the new bartender at Amici Madison, Brendan! Huge asset for the Amici team, always happy , attentive and rocking his beanie (love it). Thanks for always giving us a positive experience when we come to Amici :) read more

Cool vibe, good beers. Pizza and calzone were great. Will definitely come back if I'm in the area again

Worse Service ever! Waited over a hour with no food in sight. Finally left without ever getting served. This place wasn't even that busy. Manager didn't even apologize! Oh well guess he really didn't care. Don't go to Amici if you're hungry. Might be okay if you're just drinking,I'm done with them!! read more

This was the worst pizza experience I have ever had we waited over an hour for our food and then when it did come only part of my wife's order came and the about ten minutes later the rest came out and the waiter said " sorry about that we FOUND some soup for you " and then about 10 min later mine came out it and it wasn't that good to be honest probably won't be back read more

We drive in from Watkinsville occasionally. The pizza is always good, but sometimes greasy. Buffalo wings are always great, especially the honey buffalo. The staff does a great job in a tight space and we enjoy the environment. Overall we recommend it. read more

Really hate to do this, because Amici's used to be one of my favorite spots in Madison. Not any more! I'm in Madison at least 1x per week and I've been to the new spot at least 10 times over the last 6 months and while the relocation and renovation are top notch, the service and quality of food have seen a significant decline. It's as if management and staff have no concept how to service and prepare quality food for a larger amount of clientele. Here's hoping they the fix a problem that seems to be getting worse and worse. read more

This Amici's is located in a beautiful building downtown and has a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food and service is hit or miss. You will have a 50/50 chance of getting good pizza and friendly service or mediocre pizza and terrible service. If you are in a hurry, do not eat here. They are as slow as molasses! And if they tell you the wait time is 15-20 min for a table, it is more likely 40-45 min or longer. We do not eat here very often and when we do, we typically leave remembering why we should have gone somewhere else. read more

This was my second visit to Amici. They moved into a much larger location-at least triple the size of the original one. We had the honey x chicken wings, so delicious-a combination of sweet and hot. The wedge salad was fantastic with large chunks of blue cheese, we had a pizza with sausage, red onions and green olives-wow, such a great combination of flavors. The service was excellent and friendly. We will return. read more

We were just passing through. Yelp guided us to this place. We enjoyed the spinach dip, pizza and beer.

Took an hour for our party to get seated after calling 6 hours ahead . Took another 30 minutes to get our drinks. Appetizers, salad & entrees all come out at same time . No silverware on table . Will starve to death before I every come back here . read more

The only reason I'm giving this place one stars because I can't give it a zero. The staff there clearly doesn't seem to be very interested in customers. The first waiter who came up and introduced himself left and never showed up again. The second waiter took our order. It was a simple order, two small personal sized pizzas and a child spaghetti. After about 30 minutes of the child spaghetti showed up. It was basically a bowl of sauce with about six noodles in it. And it was ice cold. We sent it back. After over an hour we left before the rest of our food came. Worst service ever. I'll never go back. read more
