I want to say this place in Greensboro is one of the best when it comes to their pizza. The one thing I find very unique tis this was my first time trying a sweet thai pizza . And I have to say it is very sweet and has bit of a spicy kick to it.But I liked it. It also came with spaghetti and for dessert I had donuts raspberry and chocolate sauces. The wonderful part about it is that the service was wonderful along with the ambiance here. There was hardly anyone here.And honestly that was one of the best parts about it that way you can go ahead and get your order and go. We came here to watch the GA (W) - Auburn (L) football game & we walked right in- got a great big booth & settled in. Lots of folks at the bar & others enjoying their meals. Not the best tv situation, but several around so no worries. Good sports vibe! They have a happy hour DURING the GA game. $1 off all shots, wine, beer & appetizers. Fun shots, specialty drinks- and the food seems to be great! My family got a pizza & scarfed it down. Smells amazing in the place!! Staff is friendly! Being as busy as it was they were just a little slower getting drinks to us. No biggie at all, I'm letting you know for those impatient folks who may raise a stink about it. Looking for a GREAT pizza? Amici's on lake Oconee has you covered!! I have never been disappointed. They will go out of the way to make your pizza perfect! I like mine with the bottom crust browned and toasty. They get it right every time and never a burnt anything. I call my order in and it is almost always ready at the time they give. The bartenders, who take payment for call in orders, are always friendly and helpful. The dinning room is spacious but the bar is small with limited seating but you will get great service at both!! read more

We enjoyed a late lunch here at Amici's today. For a late Tuesday afternoon, the restaurant and bar had a good number of customers. We were very happy to learn about the gluten free pizza crusts Amici's offers and the Athenian and Tuscan were delicious. Our coke and Arnold Palmer were very refreshing on this hot afternoon. [Takeout review] Overall: Great option if you're looking for some takeout pizza by the lake. The good: The crust is the standout takeaway in this pizza. It's crisp yet has a comforting chewy-ness to it, leaving it not too flaky but not too flabby. The toppings are piled on high, leaving every slice satisfying. They have a decent menu to choose from (as well as the salads and wings). The darkhorse of the meal was the garlic knots that came on the side of the salads, who doesn't love some good knots. The not-so-good: Took awhile for our pizzas to be made and the prices are a bit too high. The BBQ chicken topping combination was a bit odd and didn't quite work as well as it could have. Don't call it gluten free or friendly if cross contamination is not taken seriously (or maybe you served a non gluten free crust and lied? Unclear). My husband is celiac and ordered the gluten free pizza last night. His waitress assured him it was gluten free because he was surprised how good it was, he honestly was worried they had given him a normal crust. Well whether they did give him a gluten full crust or if they didn't he was then up ALL NIGHT because he consumed gluten at this restaurant. He had eaten nothing prior. If you have real gluten intolerance I do not recommend. Oh and they'll put a heart on your box while they poison you, super cute. read more

It's a shame that the drinks have minimum to no alcohol at all! Be aware of extra charges on the bill, they charge $1 for rocks. Ice. I've never seen that happen before. $3 for a coke that we didn't order. They didn't let us know when the kitchen was about to close because we wanted to get some food to go as well. The best pizza at the lake and one of my favorite pizzas anywhere. Chicken Parmigiano is amazing as well. The one point off is just because their ordering and pickup process (before COVID) was always a bit challenging as it was difficult to place orders over the phone and the pickup was tough because the bar (and pickup area) was usually extra crowded. Only suggestion would be to use the online ordering like at other Amici locations. Even with that one snag, the food is definitely worth it! read more

The entire restaurant smells like a fraternity restroom and is crowded with servers who have been expertly trained to avoid eye contact or any conversations that may actually lead to the execution of service being rendered. I ordered the "Athenian": Grilled chicken, Spinach, artichoke hearts, crushed tomatoes, topped with a swirl of pesto fresh out of the oven. It was mouthwatering delicious. Tried out the remodeled Amici's the other night. Went in to pick up a couple of spaghetti and meatball dinners for take out. Got home, plated the spaghetti and became disappointed immediately. The "Amici Marinara Sauce" was right out of a can of commercial sauce. There was nothing unique, nothing tasty, nor any fresh ingredients in this sauce. No way this sauce was made in their kitchen. The only thing unique about this sauce would have been the can opener, opening the can. If we had had a jar of "Insert Name of Any Store Brand " Pasta Sauce I would have restrained the spaghetti and used that as the sauce. If your restaurant is that busy when you have a customer calling in a order you should just go ahead and let them know it's a extremely long wait. We were staying at a campground, had rained all day, so we decided to order from Amici's. It started off with a bang as the order taker was the most pleasant lady, being so helpful ! Ordered a pizza which was the best I've had in a while! Also ordered 12 wings xtra crispy. Our food arrived promptly and pizza was piping hot! Opened the the box of supposedly wings and it was a salad. Oh well, I didn't need wings anyway and it didn't even bother me. I bet someone was surprised expecting a salad and ended up with 12 crispy wings. My wife and son ate at Amici's last night. We were immediately seated and our server came within a very reasonable time. She took our drink order and appetizer order and was quite friendly. We ordered a pizza and we were not disappointed! The toppings were fresh and delicious. We'll be coming back. My wife and I just returned from another very good experience at Amici's. We were served by Lele who was great. Our drinks were actually served by the manager/owner who asked us if everything was going fine. We generally eat there at least 1 time ever month when we are in town. The food was served very quickly and it was great as in the past. Labor Day weekend in Lake Oconee was great! We went in search of some non-bbq type food since we were going to have that Monday, so we chose pizza......we made a great choice!!
