18oz Ribeye split with Lobster Mac&Cheese
Elizabeth H.

Service felt very rushed, asked for the steak to be spiced in the back but they just split it. For the 18oz Ribeye being $110 it was not very good, just average. Bacon on a wire was great and the complimentary cotton candy was nice. Lobster Mac and cheese was a large serving with a decent amount of lobster.

Cotton candy dessert

The service was impeccable, the steaks were not the best cuts but the sides and cocktails were delicious.

If you're ready to be entertained, get the candied bacon. They light the bacon on fire. Literally. It was very entertaining to watch. As for the food, can't say I didn't enjoy a bit of everything. I was also extremely full by the end of the meal. My favorite part was dessert--banana foster? Yes please, and thank you.

The ambiance, and service was great but the food was not good. The steak lacked flavor and was severely undercooked, the sea bass was watery and just tasted bad. The shrimp cocktail was fair. The crab cakes and bacon were great. Overall would give it a 7/10 and probably wouldn't eat there again.

Food is amazing and service is good. Had couple of dishes - Joyce farms naked chicken, asparagus, salmon and at the end they give free cotton candy

Service was amazing. While the prices may be high, the fish special and filet were worth a special visit.

Expensive. Food bland. Disappointing while we really want a good steak this is not the place.

Good solid food, a little pricey. We haven't tried the buffet but it always seems to have customers…read morepicking out their meats and veggies. The Mahi Mahi is one of the best fish sandwiches in the lake area. Hand cut fries are always a nice treat. This time I tried the pecan crusted chicken salad dressing on side. Chicken was heavily crusted and good for deep fried chicken. They need to be so much MORE generous with the apple and other toppings at that price point. Tables are clean, you do your own pick up. No options to tip. Hours are limited and I do wish they were open on Sunday but, welcome to the South. A market is attached, items vary and have many local choices. Meat prices are high, like real high. Overall, a fun place to stop.

While it was good, nothing was truly hot. Both the CFS and MPs were warm, with the gravy being barely as warm. Though, the BePs, were warmest. However, I found, the CFS to be on the dry side. While the Cornbread was firm, it was good. Unfortunately, they charged me for 3 sides, instead of just 2. So, because of this, I didn't give a voluntary tip. Fortunately, Chris had gotten some Kenyan Hot Sauce, which I tried on the CFS. And, it really helped with the taste. Sadly, they only 1, 10 oz bottle, which I let them have. And, I bought a 5 oz bottle. The HS has a unique texture, but isn't "hot" in the traditional sense.

Good first experience at Slaters. Party of 5 with one birthday, we had reservations at 6:30 and sat…read moreright down when we got there. Place was fairly empty at first but filled up quick. Nice steakhouse menu, no surprises..all the regulars are there. Opted for the ribeye. All of their steaks come with a choice of potato and the rest of the sides are à la cart. Service was a bit slow but good. Kind of on the smaller side on the interior, but I liked that. Still felt like I had plenty of room with my party. Paid about $330 for party of 5. Everyone enjoyed their meal.

Slaters is insane. So so good and even better than the last time I came…read more Ambiance: very nice interior and feels like a classic steakhouse with some UGA flair. Service: The service was amazing. My server Madison was so sweet to us for graduation and made sure we were well taken care of. When I got the baked Alaska for dessert she redid the flambé because she felt like it wasn't as good as she hoped. I felt like that was over the top great customer service. I also never had to ask for water as the waitstaff always made sure we were topped off. Food: The steaks were fantastic. We got the filet with fries, ribeye with mashed potatoes, rolls, and Brussels sprouts. Steaks were excellent of course and rolls were so soft and fluffy. When I came a year and a half ago, I thought the mashed potatoes were way too buttery and the duck fat Brussels sprouts were way too meaty. This time around the mashed potatoes were perfect and the Brussels sprouts recipe is new as it is a balsamic reduction with Parmesan which were fantastic. Overall this was a great dining experience but definitely a place to come on a nicer occasion or celebration due to price. My entire experience was 10/10 and so sad to be graduating because I don't know the next time I'll be back to Slaters.
