Grilled pork chops with hashbrown casserole was very good. Burgers great. Service quick and friendly. Ask for recommendations or daily specials.

Not the worst plate of food, but could win an "Unspectacular" award. Chicken was passable, greens almost passable, fries undercooked and unseasoned, and cornbread dry. Remember when "home cooking" meant it was going to be good?

Chicken tenders with honey mustard, Squash Casserole, collard greens and cornbread.

Amazing food! Definitely worth checking out this cafe if you find yourself in the area. We sat outside with our two dogs. I had the fried green tomatoes which were excellent and chicken strips which were fried perfectly and had a homemade honey mustard dipping sauce which was divine. The sides that I recommend are the squash casserole and the collard greens. And of course I had to order a slice of Buttermilk pie. Southern Living was right because It was the best pie I've ever had in my life! I decided to order a whole pie and take it home for Thanksgiving and my family raves about it.

Thought I'd try this place seeming that it was busy. I ordered unsweetened tea but they gave me sweet tea I ordered the chopped steak which is basically Salisbury steak. I picked Mac n cheese and green beans as my sides. The chopped steak was tender and flavorful. The green beans were also great with a buttery flavor and perfect texture. As busy as this place is I assumed their Mac n Cheese would be awesome, but to my disappointment it lacked flavor and was dry I have to that the staff is absolutely awesome!!! I'll try them again but next time I think I'll get just a burger you can't beat the hospitality that's for

Delicious food - fried fish for me and pork chop for my boo! Couldn't stop raving about the food and cute little town...

Food and southern hospitality was spot on. Can't say enough good things about this restaurant!! Look forward to our return!

Half way between Atlanta and Augusta and never disappoints. Good food and service. Check out the old jailhouse across the street too.

A little too dark for me but ok. I had the 6oz fillet with a lobster tail and crispy Brussels and a green salad. Boy! That steak was amazing. I didn't even need my knife to cut it. The Brussels OMG! Great! Lobster is lobster. It was ok. The salad was just okay too. The server was so nice. She must have been busy cause she forgot a couple of things a few times but it was okay cause I was busy eating. They opened a longhorn in my hometown and I'm going to given them a try. Hopefully I'll have the same experience.

The French onion soup I ordered was extremely salty and the cheese was burnt on top too much which gave a bitter taste. Sent that back and ordered the steak and shrimp plate. The bartender was friendly. Steak was medium and not medium rare like I ordered but didn't want to send that back as well so I just ate what I could. Was definitely expecting better quality on the food.

We caught it right as Hurricane Isaias was rolling in, which gave the lake a beautiful, moody ambiance. For the main event, I gobbled up the Bolognese from Amore del Lago--rigatoni with heavy Mariana. (I hope you get the joke! ) CJ and Will gave attentive and amazing service.

We decided last minute to join some friends who already had a reservation so they canceled ours and added us to our friends with no issue. It was hard to understand why the reservation system showed little availability as the restaurant was half empty. May be they were short staffed. We were seated in their fully enclosed patio at a low table (there were high tops as well). Our server was very knowledgable about the menu and offered up the specials from memory. We started with the focaccia, which I highly recommend! Everyone at our table thought it was the best they've had. It came with a whipped ricotta and olive tapenade, both of which were excellent! For my entree, I had the carnivora pizza which was perfectly cooked. Thin and slightly crunchy, there were not a ton of toppings that overwhelmed the crust, which was good in this case. The calabrian chiles gave it a nice kick and made the meal for me! My only issue was that they got my leftovers mixed up so when I opened them the next morning, it was not my food!
