Staff and establishment were fine but the seafood had very little flavor. With the exception of the fish it was cooked well just no flavor. The fish was 75% batter. Some areas nothing but a flat chunk of batter. Food was hot but didn't hold up to our previous experiences here. Hushpuppies and dessert were still excellent. We will try again. Hopefully it was just a one off, bad night for the chef.

So, we quickly yelped and saw they had tea on the table and a grits bar!! They had me at the grits bar. They had my husband at the tea pitchers on the table. So, we finished our errand and came back for dinner. It was good. It was quaint. Health score was 100. They were busy and on point. Kids had fried shrimp and chicken tenders, both got fries. My husband got the choose three platter with catfish, shrimp, and scallops with macaroni and cheese and fried corn. Scallops were nice and buttery, catfish and shrimp were exactly as he wanted. He's pretty sure the fried corn was frozen but it was still solid, nice and crispy. I had the grilled catfish with green beans and fried okra. Catfish was nicely season, tender, juicy. The okra was just as imagined and pretty sure the green beans were canned; which is fine, just surprised us. They put a ton of love into their food we figured the corn and green beans could have had some more love too! But again, still a great meal. Oh, they had amazing looking cakes, lots of love in them for sure. They look good even though we didn't taste! I snapped a couple pictures of the current menu, use this as a ball park estimate because the economy may send prices up.

Tbh, the name of the place, doesn't match the ambience of the place, which reminded me of a made over Sports Bar (all that was missing, were the multiple big screen TVs). However, the food is delicious! And, the service is excellent! So, who cares that the name doesn't the environment? For an appetizer, we split an order of Gator Bites, with Remoulade Sauce (best I've ever tasted). We each had something different; Kristen had Fried Fish Platter, with Asparagus, and Cheese Grits. Chris had a Shrimp and Grits Bowl. And, I had my usual birthday (which was yesterday, and we had a May B'day Party (6 of us have/had a birthday) dinner, Fillet Mignon and Lobster, with a Baked Potato. While the service was great, and the food very good, I can't give them 5 Stars, as I ordered the fillet Medium Rare, and they cooked it, Well Done. :-( Now, I did tell our server about it. But, because I was so hungry, and because it was still pretty tender, I didn't return it. Nor, did they give me a discount. But, I'll definitely order from them, or come here again.

Salad, with Blue Cheese Dressing: Though it was weird looking (croutons in on corner, shredded cheese in a straight line, and diced tomatoes in the other corner), the greens were fresh and crisp. And, the cheese and tomato tasted fresh, too. The Blue Cheese Dressing was fantastic! I haven't tasted such good dressing in years. 5 Stars Hot Wings: Whoa! I don't think I've ever seen such small drumettes. And, many of the wings were in a near L shape, vs being tucked together. While tasty, unfortunately, I found the drumettes to be quite dry, and a bit tough. As was the wing tips. But, the wing bases were what I'm use to. 3 Stars Cajun Shrimp Pasta: Oh, my word! Talk about a scrumptiouselious dish! While the pasta did stick a little (could be due to delivery), this was fantastic! The Cajun spice was just hot enough to let you know it. But, not so much where it blew the top of your head off. Or, having to guzzle water to put the fire out. 5 Stars And, between the wings, salad and entree, I got enough for 2 dinners, and a lunch. 8-) So, despite the wings being a let down, I'm very pleased with this place. And, for sure, I'll order from them again.
