I was so impressed with this new Vietnamese spot in Athens! I went to school in Athens and didn't have many options then, but returned for a conference and was so happy to see this new restaurant. The Bún bò Huế was SO GOOD! Definitely recommend this spot for authentic Vietnamese food.

The setting was very neat and clean. Our waitress was very attentive and also gave helpful recommendations. The food came out hot and crispy in filling portions. The catfish paired perfectly with some tartar sauce and the shrimp batter was perfectly seasoned. The noodles were slightly undercooked and could have used more sauce, but they did the job. I will definitely be back for my next seafood kick.

Love this place. Especially now that they've included some of my favorite Vietnamese dishes.

My first time coming here, the staff is very attentive and friendly. The Bun Bo Hue did not disappoint! Authentic Vietnamese food, reminds me of my mothers cooking. The broth was rich and flavorful, packed with tender meat. Definitely coming back and becoming a regular lol! 10/10 would come back again.

My husband went here and got us dinner. He check the food before he left. The boil bags looked good from the outside but wait ... He ordered popcorn shrimp for our two year old. Instead he got chop alligator meat. He informed them and they fixed it. He couldn't open the boiled bags until he got home everything looked great on the outside but, when I busted open my crab boil bag I was totally disappointed. No crab legs just the hard empty claws. It was like it was put together from scraps ! And don't get me started with the potatoes I had a whole rotten potato in my bag. sooo... a boil bag with extra ROTTEN potatoes you charged 4+ dollars for. crab legs 20+ dollars with NO CRAB LEGS is CRAZY. & they didn't look clean. We are spending our hard earn money on this. Do better we definitely shouldn't be getting this.

I got the pho and it was a delicious broth. Not too salty, right amount of seasoning.

Really good crab boil. The pho was good, but the crab boil stole the show. We also had some wings that were pretty solid too!

Both service and food were excellent. We sampled catfish, tilapia, red snapper, flounder, and chicken. All were wonderful.

Friendly professional service, our server was very nice and helpful. She went out of her way to make sure we had a nice dining experience. Great food options, with a lowcountry inspiration. The menu is lowcountry focused and the food is executed beautifully. We started with a dozen of the local oysters, they were fresh, sweet and delicious, a solid start. After giving the menu a good perusal, my dinner companion went for the evenings special. The evening special was, shrimp and crab ravioli. This is a generous portion of nicely prepared ravioli's filled with a sweet succulent crab and then whole shrimp in a rich cream sauce. Presented simple and clean, she said it was delicious, and my sampling of it was just that. Pan seared red fish over etufee was my choice, again a very good meal. A nice serving of perfectly cooked Red fish mixed over a generous portion of etufee. Spicy, succulent, full flavored. It was a really solid selection and very good. A couple sides to go with our entrees, the mashed potato and brocolli, both were done well, simple and tasted good as you would expect. The biscuits, oh those biscuits. The biscuits were a great addition. All in all a solid dining experience and well worth the effort, good lowcountry food done well. As well reservations are recommended especially on the weekends. 4 Stars - recommended 01075

Craving seafood living north of Winder I finally found this place and decided to go try it out…read more Nice, busy place, clean have everything from lobster rolls to the fish and chips, which is what we came here for. I got a four piece cod and this is the best fish I've had when I'm looking for a true British fish and chips. The potato chips were a little overcooked, but still great, french fries I brought home and just air fry them and brought them back to life so they were very good as well. I think the only odd thing not bad, but odd was the fried green tomatoes, which were almost like a pancake batter, which gave it a very sweet taste, which I was not expecting. I think I'm more of a savory fried green tomato, crunchy guy, but these had pickled onions, seemed to be cooked with love just didn't eat my taste buds but while presented. Ordered the crabcake sandwich in the jury is still out. Perhaps I was having fried food overload, but it didn't hit as well until I pulled it off. The patty added a little bit of old bay seasoning and this crab cake was quite tasty. How you adjust your meals is all up to you, but since I usually get things to go and bring them home, if there's something I want more I just add it no complaints because I thought this was a good value and great service. All in all, this was a very good place, oysters are priced insanely these days cause coming from South Georgia where I used to hit the beach for $.10 apiece for oysters. It's really hard to dive in the raw oysters which I love but not for two dollars apiece. I'm sure they're good but I'm gonna skip out and stick with sushi for my raw fish right now, and use this place for my fish and chips for sure! Clean, great service, outdoor seating, highly recommend.!!!!

Service was fantastic, our server was friendly and offered another preparation for the fish of the day from a different choice in the menu. I had the daily special, Jamaican Jerk Red Snapper over rice with grilled pineapple, pickled red onion and edamame. The grilled pineapple perfectly complimented the blackened fish, jerk spice prepared in that way can land on a the salty side. The pineapple cut the saltiness and really worked when eaten together. The chef clearly understands a layered flavor approach to a dish, this was perfect. My dad had a parm crusted grouper over risotto. Each element was prepared perfectly. The minor issue here was that food took a bit longer to arrive than what I'm used to, but I enjoyed chatting with my dad on the outdoor patio. Restaurant was clean and the server (Allison) was a complete professional, clearly understanding all aspects of dishes they serve. Dessert was a peach cheesecake with hot honey drizzle. It was really really good and worth it! Would absolutely eat here again and this place is a better choice than some downtown Athens offers that have jumped the shark in my opinion.
