Friendly professional service, our server was very nice and helpful. She went out of her way to make sure we had a nice dining experience. Great food options, with a lowcountry inspiration. The menu is lowcountry focused and the food is executed beautifully. We started with a dozen of the local oysters, they were fresh, sweet and delicious, a solid start. After giving the menu a good perusal, my dinner companion went for the evenings special. The evening special was, shrimp and crab ravioli. This is a generous portion of nicely prepared ravioli's filled with a sweet succulent crab and then whole shrimp in a rich cream sauce. Presented simple and clean, she said it was delicious, and my sampling of it was just that. Pan seared red fish over etufee was my choice, again a very good meal. A nice serving of perfectly cooked Red fish mixed over a generous portion of etufee. Spicy, succulent, full flavored. It was a really solid selection and very good. A couple sides to go with our entrees, the mashed potato and brocolli, both were done well, simple and tasted good as you would expect. The biscuits, oh those biscuits. The biscuits were a great addition. All in all a solid dining experience and well worth the effort, good lowcountry food done well. Definitely an older crowd and not located anywhere near the downtown area, but the food was delicious. It came with biscuits with butter and they were so buttery good. We ended up getting the crawfish mac & cheese, and then adding the biscuits on top of the mac & cheese, which was delicious! Came for Tuesday oysters. Not a good shucker. Bits of shell in each oyster and they didn't cut the aducter muscle. Oysters were fresh but not briny. The service was awesome and this place really is a must try ! The chargrilled oysters and deviled eggs were for sure favs from the appetizer menu! It's a shame that you go to a place once, have a great meal then go again a few months later and you get the opposite experience. Went for dinner after the UGA game, place was not busy at all. Had some drinks first then sat down. We were about to order our meals so I asked the server/bartender about the Market Price Ribeye. He said I would really like this dish with the tasty butter sauce on top. I said I would like to try it and asked if they can cook it Pittsburgh style but medium. He said no problem. Well, salad comes out, good so far. Steak comes out, not sure what they did but it looked terrible. Well done on one side and raw on the other. Very odd. Asked the bartender to please make a new one, he said no problem. 10 minutes later steak comes out, the original one anyway, burnt black!! By this point, I am a little upset! I told him to make me a new one, please, they said they would. 10 minutes later, new steak out, very close, butter wasn't fully melted so I scraped it off and I decide to start eating it. But this point, I'm over it, and lost my hunger. Ate maybe three bites and said I am done. Female bartender comes over, we take the leftovers to go. I get my bill and nothing is done about the three times steak. Bartender calls the manager over who said that she told the bartender to remove the steak off my bill, and it was a miscommunication....seems to be a lot of that going on tonight. The food is fabulous. There was an incident where a child got Ill in the room we were in. The mother rushed the child out of the room, leaving a trail of puke behind as she took the child to the washroom. She did her best. This left a mess in the room where three tables were seated directly in the path of the puke.... Two of the tables hadn't been served their meals. There was plenty of room to move these tables to the next room over ..... nope didn't happen .....instead they got to watch the food runner clean up the mess.... First with a table cloth, then rags and then a mop.... Where was the manager? Why was the food runner cleaning up the puke and serving the food? What a hidden gem! Lovely spot with white tablecloths (okay they were paper but it looked very nice). We had an attentive, friendly, and accurate server. The food was delicious! I had the special - lemon pepper fried shrimp with remoulade plus collards, sautéed squash, and pimento jalapeño cornbread. My husband had jambalaya. He loved it. Oh, and there were these ON POINT little savory biscuits for the table. My son is here at UGA so we will be here often. Definitely a keeper. One little odd thing, but it's not a complaint. Low country is in the title, which suggests South Carolina to me. But the food seemed more Creole. We love both so it didn't matter. Everything was delicious. They advertise Tuesdays are oyster nights! A dozen oysters for 12.95 problem is they rarely have enough oysters! I have been there 3 out of the last 4 Tuesdays! The first Tuesday they had enough oysters for us! 2 weeks later at 730 they had 3 dozen oysters left for 6 people! Then just today they were out of oysters at 630 pm! How do you advertise oyster night deals then not have oysters! I could understand if u ran out of oysters at 9 o'clock but 630 pm they open at 4pm! False advertising if you ask me! read more

WOWOW - if you aren't coming here for the Tuesday oyster special, you're doing it wrong. Most tables were taken by reservation but we easily got a table outside at 7:30 pm. First we got a basket of 8 fresh biscuits on the house which was delicious! I got the vinho verde for $6 which was the cheapest wine on the menu and very good. For the Tuesday special I got a dozen raw oysters for $9.95. They came with the classic cocktail sauce as well as a lemon and crackers. The oysters were HUGE so we definitely got the bang for our buck. Everything was so delicious and I would absolutely come back for another Tuesday special! read more

From day the second we walked in she was super friendly and accommodating to my wife and I. This restaurant had to close down for two weeks due to a server getting COVID. Did they learn ANYTHING from the experience? NOPE. Maskless customers crowd around the waiting area, servers walk shoulder to shoulder with each other and with patrons. They have really, really lax COVID protocols, and don't seem to give a hoot about protecting themselves or their customers. It's really too bad, because the food is good. It is just not "to die for." I had lunch here yesterday with a friend after church for Sunday lunch/brunch. I love the upscale ambience of the the place. The hosting staff are very welcoming and we were seated immediately. There are a variety of Southern brunch options including options for appetizers, entrees, and desserts. I had the Cakes and Eggs. It was good. The eggs were poached and served over crab cakes which more crab than cake, which always is a plus. I added a side of the pimento cheese grits which were wonderful and peaked my interest from the very beginning. I'm a fan and hope to return and try some of their desserts and other entrees. Went for the first time last night with our family as we were moving our daughter into UGA. In a small strip mall, somewhat casual but could dress a bit better then flight clothes. Emma was our server and was just delightful ! Knowledgeable of the menu and drinks , recommended a fine red blend for dinner . Food was silly good ! Started with gumbo AND bisque as our family always tries any gumbo on a menu - more like a yummy delicious Smokey stew, not a true gumbo. Bisque was so thick and creamy - think a dip not a soup.
