This place is super confusing as other people have stated. We got there around 6:30pm on a Friday night and we were told there was a 45 minute wait. Okay - that is completely normal but what was infuriating was that there were around 6 open tables the whole time we waited in the main dining area and in the bar dining, all of the tables were empty! When we finally were called, this is where my confusion deepened. We were told to step into line to order before getting seated. So I hastily chose some pizza, same with my husband and order a kid's meal. We paid there and there was a line for tip on the receipt? Why am I going to give a good tip before getting my food or receiving any type of service? We put in a 15% tip but we usually tip higher regardless if service was so-so. When we were done ordering, there was another server person and I asked if we chose our own table. She directed us to a table. Seriously, we were peeved at this point. A server comes over and gives us water and silverware. We also realized at this point we wanted to order salads but during this confusing AF process, we forgot. So I called over a server and asked what do I do if I want to order salads? She asks me if we left our tab open -- excuse me, I didn't know we had that option?? So we order our salads and then she comes over and gives us a receipt for the salads - she didn't ask us if we wanted to leave our tab open or not. Well, screw ordering anything else like alcohol, dessert or more food. I feel like they're losing a bunch of revenue but whatever. Food comes finally -- which didn't take too long -- and that's probably the nicest thing about this review. The salads were average and pizzas were bland. I ordered the Vesuvio. It was probably one of the blandest pizzas I've ever had. The crust and sauce were basically flavorless. The roasted red peppers seemed like they got them from a can in Safeway. I couldn't even taste the basil. My husband got the Roma pizza and stated that is was super salty. Yah, he knows there was capers and kalmata olives which are salty naturally and was a risk getting but I tasted it, too and yeah...too salty and one dimensional. He felt there was no texture and the flavor was unsavory. My kid's spaghetti that I ordered, the noodles seemed a little over cooked but not the biggest deal since my kid ate it. Also, so many of the pizzas have chicken on them - WTF? CHICKEN ON PIZZA IS WRONG!
While we were eating, I found a pamphlet that said something like order up front and let the servers take care of the rest....would have been nice to know this before sitting down at a table in which I had to order first. I used to work at a busy ass pizza place (with WAY better, flavorful pizza) that made you order up front and then we'd assign a table. We made sure that customers were aware of the ordering process and how it worked and explained it to them face to face. Also, we didn't accept tips because there was no service and you had to bus your own table but that's beside the point. It would be really nice if someone greeted you and asked if you had been there before so you don't come in like a lost puppy dog.
TL;DR - Super confusing and stupid ordering process and food is not all that. Pretty bland for all the toppings that go on the pizza. Service is mediocre. read more
