I wrote a review on the old page, then told Yelp HD of the new address. === Crystal World is a wholesaler of crystal lighting, such as chandeliers, table lamps, wall light fixtures, etc. It is also in the business of wedding decor rental. You can rent directly from them, bypassing any middlemen or wedding planners. Since CW is a wholesaler, I didn't buy directly from it, but instead through one of its distributors. I like a few things about buying Crystal World products: 1) CW is a big wholesaler. Its distributors range from independent boutiques to chained stores (eg Living Lighting) to big boxers (eg Home Depot). I like the assurance that a wholesaler of this scale can provide, such as warranty 2) CW's warehouse is local. Unless an item is out of stock, customers usually get the lights they order in a week. No need to pay then wait 2 months to pick up your goods 3) I bought from a small lighting retailer just 10 minutes drive from CW's head office. My selection was not limited to the samples hung on the ceiling. I was allowed to select ANY LIGHT FROM SIX CATALOGUES. I felt like I was shopping from the wholesaler's warehouse. Though some selections were not what I was looking for, I nevertheless appreciated the freedom to choose. The shopping experience, unusually so for lighting fixtures, was liberating, fast, and one-stop-shopping convenient. 4) The built quality is okay enough. What we bought is no European light fixture, but it is good enough. And pretty enough. I can't comment much on prices, because it depends on where you buy from. Some stores let you negotiate, while some don't.

This salesperson couldn't give me the time of the day even though I just bought a light fixture that costs more than $1k. I would have cancelled the order ( due to poor customer service) but I'm sure they will think of a way to charge me restocking fee. Will take my business somewhere else!

Union Lighting is known to have the most lighting selection in all of Toronto. We came here to get…read moreinspiration and to check out some lighting IRL instead of just me imagining through Pinterest. We wanted some statement lights over our dining table and kitchen counters. I don't understand why there are such low ratings here. I'm sure many people here are just browsing, and I rather have a sales rep give us the space and only come to us if we need help and seriously find a piece we're considering. So I have no issues with how no one really came up to us. There's a lot of lighting, but personally, not enough contemporary/modern lighting to our liking. We did take some pictures of the few we liked that are more contemporary-inspired. However, we don't love it enough to pull the trigger. The prices for the lighting are very high for the ones we looked at, about $1500 (for that round chandelier) to $5600 (Criss Cross silver lighting). We liked the look of the round chandelier the most. To our surprise, our neighbour has the same one. So loses that unique appeal. Also don't know how we would change the light if it burns out? Lighting is all personal preference. This trip nothing really screamed "this is the one" for us. If you're into other design themes like traditional, industrial, mid-century modern etc, you may find there is more to your liking than the modern/contemporary styles here. I still recommend to check it out though for yourself if you're in the market for lighting.

We hired Elmar Electric for electrical needs in our home…read more My initial call to Elmar was to address an electrical issue in our fuse panel. That issue was addressed the same day I called, and the site visit charge was credited against the work to swop out the fuse panel for the breaker panel. The scheduled follow up visit included converting our fuse panel to Breakers, installing a door bell, GFI outlet and outdoor switch. All the work was completed for the estimated price, and on the date scheduled. Elmar looked after all the prework ie. scheduling the power shutdown and inspection. We were very pleased with the work that was completed, at the price that was quoted. I would not hesitate to call them again, or recommending them to my friends. f.

These guys were amazing! From beginning to end the professionalism and expertise was top notch. They know their stuff. They took the "scary" out of the entire experience for my husband and I. They contacted Hydro to co-ordinate the shut-off of the electricity for the install. We didn't have to do a thing. They worked efficiently and were mindful of our family. I cannot thank Elmar Electric enough for the great work. Their customer service is beyond magnificent!!! Thank you all for your dedicated service!!!

I actually found pricing was better at Prima than at Union lighting. Even with Union Lighting…read moreholding AMEX sales, the price at Prima was still cheaper. The customer service could be better as the lights sometimes don't arrive on time and when I'm doing big renovations I need fixtures to arrive on time so I docked one star off because of that. Their selection of modern lighting (in the low/mid price range) is really fantastic, I would say one of the best in Toronto.

I find this place to be extremely overpriced when compared to other places (Sescolite, Union…read moreLighting, etc). I've dropped in on numerous occasions and looked around and have only purchased one item...I usually get the same thing elsewhere at a much cheaper price. The showroom is well laid out and it showcases their wares.....but when working within a budget, there are better places to shop.

I have drove by so often but never pay a visit till now. The custom made leather sofa definitely really nice. Made of Italian leather and made to order with different combinations and colours. I do like some of the designs as it is more contemporary and quite chic. The bedroom and dinner sets though I won't too impressed. The showroom though is really simple and even have a little flea market feel with all the sample all packed together. Sale person is exceptionally friendly and would answer any question with a smile.

When I got home and measured my room, the table is too wide so I asked for a refund. The owner said theres no refund on deposits so I end up forced to pick a product from their inventory that was close to the amount of deposit. So beware!!
