My recent visit was like all the others, easy as a breeze and at great prices. Yes, it is on Avenue Road next to Pusateri's and looks very high end, and indeed sells a lot of high end lighting, but they also sell lighting fixtures for those of us with smaller budgets. If you just walk in, you can get lost and overwhelmed with the choices, there is everything you could ever want and more. However you can check out their website and pick some options before going to the store, or better yet their current flyer with great deals and specials and have a good idea what you want before you get there. Bonus! Royal Lighting has tons of lights in stock, so if you need to get some new lights up quick, you don't have to wait for them to be shipped, just go and pick them up on the spot! My sales rep Raj, who I have been dealing with since 1995, is great and I highly recommend him... so friendly, so helpful. Another great bonus! Almost all the lights I purchased were made in Canada... something you won't see at Home Depot and the other big box stores where everything is made in China or the US. Having not heard back from them by the next day we decided to bring the table in to see if they were interested in purchasing it or at least to give us an appraisal. We were told that they were interested in purchasing the table and to leave it in the store so we were offered $40 and we accepted that offer. We were waiting to hear back from them so we could come pick up the money and when we heard back from them we were told that they're not interested any longer in purchasing our table and we are to come pick up the table. We had turned down another interested party at a lesser offer but nonetheless still turned it down because we received the offer from this business. And now we don't have any of the money we don't even have the table at this point because it's still sitting in the store that wanted to purchase it. We have to find time to go pick it up. All in all it is a dreadful experience with dreadful customer service and I would not recommend it to anybody

They were very knowledgeable and are very helpful about all the different features and specs of faucets, tubs, shower kits, and all things related to plumbing hardware. You would not think about all these details until you have to buy the right faucet such as the length of the spout, the angle of the water spray, the value type that controls the faucet, the finish of the hardware, etc. You could literally browse for hours here with the amount of hardware that is packed in each aisle. They were able to walk us through all of this during our appointment and we left more informed. At the end, they sent us a quote based on our preliminary choices of plumbing hardware in a timely manner. I thought the experience here was very positive and can recommend people check them out.

In the meantime, over the years I have replaced our builder grade stuff with Taps toilets (Mirabelle, Kohler, Toto), pedestal sink and faucet. No charge for home delivery, but a $10 surcharge because we are just out of Toronto. Very fair. If you have a relationship with any designers, then chances are that they have a good discount here.
