The person at the store responded with a request for measurements for the glass and lamp shades. Two days later we are at the store, no lamp shades, no low voltage lighting, no glass not even the style of light bulb we needed so I ask for the replacement glass I ordered and was told sorry it's not here. So I contact the originator of the email chain and asked that under the circumstances they send the order no cost and they refused......so I canceled and would rather replace the whole fixture than deal further with this company.

They also ran out of hand sanitizer so they had to hunt for them today. They only have 20 left. A 118mL bottle cost $5 each which isn't inflated.

An absolute horrific experience that spanned almost four months…read more. Through this experience we've learned that a true measure of a company's integrity and trustworthiness should not be assessed from those situations that go well, but rather how the company handles those situations that do not go well. It all began early Nov, 2024. We ordered five WAC Volga lights, all of which arrived on Dec 9, 2024, and all defective. The glue that adhered the fabric to the shade had delaminated in in spots. As we had already been waiting over a month and with an final electrical inspection due we requested to choose an alternate light. Our request was ignored and we were advised "lead time is two weeks". We proceeded to request a refund and Casa Di Luce replied with "Sorry, we can't do that". I wasn't happy so I posted a review on their website (see photo). Incidentally you may read other accounts of reviews disappearing, all of which Casa Di Luce denies any involvement. Not sure what happened to mine but it's no longer on their website. Back to it.. Five weeks passed. No lights. We reached out to again requesting a refund and citing the need to complete an electrical inspection. Their response - "the product was out of stock and they were doing their best". So much for the two week lead time. We asked when we should expect the matter to be resolved and at what point would a refund be considered. Their response: "A refund COULD be considered when the product is discontinued and no pieces are left in stock". Apparently a refund was not in the cards. It was at this point that we realized that Casa Di Luce only cared about the sale, and not the customer. Next set of lights were received on Feb 4. All deflective in the same way. We sent them a video of one of the fixtures, which represented the issue that all the lights had. Again, we requested a refund. Our request was ignored, and Casa Di Luce responded by stating "I noticed in your video the lights are already installed. I'm going to forward this concern to the manufacturer". We felt they were attempting to invalidate our claim. We were distraught. The lights had never been installed. The video of the light was taken on our kitchen countertop. We felt that Casa Di Luce was not acting in good faith. We advised them that we would be initiating a charge back with our credit card company. I again requested a refund. Finally they acknowledged our request, but it appeared they intended on charging us a 30% restocking - based on an attachment the included in their email, and provided no shipping labels for the five of the ten lights so presumably shipping at our cost. We did not feel this was an acceptable resolution. We asked if a restocking fee as going to be applied. Their response: "Once you send us everything we will inspect them". Much like when we had requested a refund and they ignored us there was a clear pattern emerging - Casa Di Luce avoids answering questions. I asked bluntly - "Will you be providing a full refund and shipping labels for the remaining five lights"? Their response: "We need to inspect the last replacements the manufacturer send you." I followed up with "you have not answered my questions. Please answer the following: Will you be providing a full refund (including the cost of shipping) if all 10 lights are returned?" Their response "from the video you shared, the lights appear to be in good condition". I'll save you the rest of the back and forth - roughly 30 more emails over the span of 45 days of us asking questions repeatedly and them not answering them. Eventually, they stopped replying. Meanwhile, we had the lights inspected by a local retailer who sells WAC lighting, and they were able to provide us a letter stating that the lights were defective. At some point the credit card company approached Casa Di Luce. Casa Di Luce denied our claim. Eventually (early April), were were advised that our charge back was successful. The evidence was clear. The credit card company reversed the $1200 charge. The nightmare was finally over.

One lady was particularly helpful in completing the first two rooms. She was an enthusiastic collaborator, even asking for photos of the work so far. To complete the other four rooms, it took several tries to find times good for both of us. I didn't want to miss out on her exquisite taste in helping me choose from so many fine products. At least twice I spoke with the manager to confirm available time with her, and adjusted my visit to the time he confirmed she would be available. I arrived, and the manager informed me she wasn't yet free, so I agreed to wait. After fifteen minutes she came to me and apologized for the delay. We resumed the immediate phase of the order, which would have completed the third room. We came to some decisions and completed much of the order when the manager interrupted. He wanted her at the cash register immediately, and announced loudly that she had been with 'this gentleman' for an hour. I informed him I had only been in the store for twenty-five minutes. He responded nastily, 'You're not the only customer here, sir!" She started to tally my sales so far, during which he got even angrier, telling her she had spent enough time with 'this gentleman' and wanted her at the other cash station at once. I was completely stunned. She quietly apologized and explained this was not unusual. I paid for the order and she walked away even though we had been unable to complete it. I stood there in total shock. We had yet to finish even the current order, much less choose any of the remaining products. I had waited so long to resume the project that I felt frankly assaulted by such bizarre behaviour I had never experienced before. Now ignored, I didn't know what to do. I then protested to him that I was still in the middle of a big order. He smiled innocently and said, "Why do you sound so angry, sir?" I was speechless; finally, I asked him why he wanted to lose such a large order. With an insincere smile, he asked "Why are you so angry, sir?" That's when I noticed the three people in line cringing. I picked up the two gallons of paint I had bought so far and started to leave when he said softly, "See you soon, sir." I turned, and said, "I don't think so." As I left, another employee looked at me apologetically. The result of this experience was that it disrupted the completion plans because I had no idea where else I could go to find help even half as good on such an expensive project.

For once, the promised coverage for a gallon of paint actually was accurate! 350 sq. ft promised coverage really did cover my walls in one coat. YAY. I'm a very happy camper.
