My recent visit was like all the others, easy as a breeze and at great prices. Yes, it is on Avenue Road next to Pusateri's and looks very high end, and indeed sells a lot of high end lighting, but they also sell lighting fixtures for those of us with smaller budgets. If you just walk in, you can get lost and overwhelmed with the choices, there is everything you could ever want and more. However you can check out their website and pick some options before going to the store, or better yet their current flyer with great deals and specials and have a good idea what you want before you get there. Bonus! Royal Lighting has tons of lights in stock, so if you need to get some new lights up quick, you don't have to wait for them to be shipped, just go and pick them up on the spot! My sales rep Raj, who I have been dealing with since 1995, is great and I highly recommend him... so friendly, so helpful. Another great bonus! Almost all the lights I purchased were made in Canada... something you won't see at Home Depot and the other big box stores where everything is made in China or the US. Shop Canadian, shop Royal Lighting, you won't regret it.

Never realized Wednesday mornings were so busy for them?! Nothing here was my taste. Did not like music or displays and it seemed to be a bit of a jumbled mess. Stressful mood. Left and went next door to union lighting where I also did not find what I was looking for but had a much more enjoyable experience. Worth checking out if you are on the strip looking for lights. They do. It did not seem that they had same selection as others and no realistic room settings just stuff hanging. I did find some great prices on full length mirrors under $200 worth returning for.

I always admire what they have and I was seeking something specific (side table), and I knew from window displays they were likely to have an option that would work. If you are unfamiliar with this area of Toronto (Forest Hill), it is an affluent area. (There's a reason this shop is located here.) I myself am a savvy shopper; this shop is an exception for me. Prices in the store do range from reasonable to the very high. The pieces I considered were possible for me, but yes, there were others I admired that I couldn't give a second look based on price alone. What I purchased is very unique and not available everywhere (I shop all over Toronto.) It's a piece that is special, different but classic, versatile, and very solidly made. The price was not exorbitant for what it is and for what I could afford. I know I am going to have it forever. Overall, pleased with the experience here and with my new piece.
