We will definitely be back -- AND we'll pass on to everyone we know and then some, what a great place to shop Guff is!

They always have new products in store every time I check them out. 10/10 would recommend everyone to check them out for all your furniture needs.

That being said - so many dishes and dinner wear and cups... kinda boring Secondly the price of somethings is not as appropriate as others. $100 for a scratchy pillow but a fendi makeup bag for $40... so it's highs and lows but the price does drop as time goes on so it's all alright in the end. I'll be back to this place for a second time soon and I hope there is good turnover!

This store is quite something to walk into. Almost a shock to the senses to see so many shiny…read morethings in one small space, but definitely an experience. If one walks very carefully, one foot in front of the other, there's enough room to walk maybe ten feet into the store before you hit a wall of chandeliers. Almost every inch of visible space is crammed full. There are chandeliers hanging overhead, so packed in that it's hard in many cases to tell where one ends and another begins. There are pieces of chain, electrical cord, crystal, and light fixtures covering the counters and floor. But I suppose that means there's a lot to choose from. Some of the more ornate pieces were $3200, some more simple chandeliers listed as $350. I have no idea if these prices are reasonable or not as I have never done any chandelier comparison shopping. The owner was very helpful, if a bit overbearing (though since he was crammed into the same teeny space as us, it'd be hard to be anything but in our face). He told us he could have any one of a number of chandeliers ready for us innediately. We're not buying, just yet, but this seems like as good a place as any to start looking when we are.

OK, you literally need a few days to take in Gadabout. The space is super small and its crammed…read morefull of vintage, antique, retro....everything. I'm almost positive many of the film and TV production folks who do shoots taking place in the 1940s and 50s are probably raiding Gadabout regularly. They'd be stupid not to since you can probably find a look for every era since the 1880s here. Antique hand-made quilt blankets, vintage and antique lace bed sheets, pure woolen capes a la Sherlock Holmes made in London, alpaca sweaters, 100% pure lambswool blankets (nobody makes that stuff anymore) 1960s patent leather shoes, old library card catalogues now filled with one-of-a-kind notions like buttons and hooks for your sewing needs, old stationary writing sets, I mean I could just go on and on about the myriad of things I saw just on a quick visit. I didn't buy anything but the prices did seem a bit high but that's how it goes in Toronto these days I guess. If you're looking to replace some buttons on an old sweater or old jacket and want something unique to jazz it up and give it a fresh new look, come here and have a snoop, I'm sure you'll find something.

The repair was done 'in house' at Green's Antiques and I couldn't be more happy with the result. Also the pricing was reasonable and fair considering the time it would have taken do the restoration. I highly recommend Green's Antiques. Al Mainprize
