If you're patient and persistent, you can even find new items with tags on them. This is one of the larger VVs around which means larger selection of items as well (they have a large curtain section). At least once a month they have a big 50% off sale. If you are a Super Savers Club member, you can go the day before a sale and get the discount (go early because it gets pretty crowded later on in the day) Haven't run into any problems with the staff but I haven't needed to bother them for anything either.

There's only a foot wide walking path so multiple customers in the store at once is very difficult. There was also no prices on anything and it was hard to see everything that was offered at the store. I would also worry that the quality of what I'd buy would be subpar because of the bad conditions it sits in amidst this store's clutter. However, there were many unique finds at this store, so it's still worth checking out. With the lack of price tags, I imagine you're free to haggle.

When I need a stationary card, they have a cubbyhole area with all sorts of unique cards that leave me giggling and almost forgetting the card I went in for! I head to Putti not only to be transported into a truly amazing shopping experience but also because I find the most unique and enchanting pieces there. It's so refreshing to be able to give a high rating on something local. Putti is doing things right. I cant say enough its mesmerizing. This place brings the spark to Rosedale - Summerhill. That's right, a store devoted to garden and other outdoorsy things. It may sound like a granny store, but it's really not! There's a lot of really neat things. Such as a wasp catcher, or wooden rocking chair (extremely comfy). They have items such as gardening gloves, or hats. Don't know where to buy your mom garden gnomes? They have a decent collection here! That in itself is reason enough to check out this store!

The sign says "hand-picked vintage" and it's a good description. The space is quite small (looks like a converted apartment, with 2 small rooms and a hallway) and the selection is not as vast as some of the bigger vintage shops. However, each piece is carefully chosen (hence the name). The owner is really friendly and as my shopping partner and I perused the racks, she gave us back-stories for many of the pieces that caught our eyes. She also has altered some of the items to make them more wearable circa now. Compared to other vintage stores, there were some really kooky/costumey pieces here, include a gold lamé jumpsuit ("I had to take that one... it has stirrups!!") and a gothic, Addams-Family-esque black velvet dress with white lace detailing. This would be a fantastic place to find the perfect Halloween costume. It's also a great place to re-live the 90's. As I was browsing, I found myself repeatedly saying to my friend - "omg, remember these?!?" Like those cutout shoulder dresses. Other finds include leopard printed faux-fur coats and beat-up vintage leather jackets for men. There's a sale rack (currently 50% off some winter merchandise) and a $10 accessories section at the back. Definitely worth a look!

I almost didn't want to write this review because it's one of the city's best kept vintage secrets. The clothes: Whereas a lot of vintage shops in the city have a huge variety of clothing from all kinds of different eras, Chosen features a well-curated selection of clothes that appeal to anyone with a lust for the 90s (ie. me) and girls who want to be a bit more badass and a bit less girly. But this doesn't mean they don't have girly t't to Chosen and you can find sexy little lace slips, James Dean-esque leather jackets, and combat boots for dancing all night. The staff: No complaints here. The owner and the one other girl I've met are both super friendly, helpful and full of interesting tidbits about the pieces.
