The returned email indicated that we should do this sooner than later as the glass ordered was discontinued and my email was forwarded to the store. The person at the store responded with a request for measurements for the glass and lamp shades. Two days later we are at the store, no lamp shades, no low voltage lighting, no glass not even the style of light bulb we needed so I ask for the replacement glass I ordered and was told sorry it's not here. So I contact the originator of the email chain and asked that under the circumstances they send the order no cost and they refused......so I canceled and would rather replace the whole fixture than deal further with this company.

Their attention to details and the exceptional craftmanship are beyond my expectation. I would highly recommend DSG for your next renovation projects. Thank you Rita. Thank you DSG

When you do though then this is a place that you can check out with your designer or contractor. They offer a lot of different stone samples from many different providers. The staff are helpful with offering suggestions for stone designs that could match the look you are going for in your project. They also have some full slabs in the back if you want to see the full veining or pattern that a particular sample stone could offer. It's fun if you are into this kind of stuff and home renovation opportunities don't come along often so you might as well learn and enjoy yourself.

But that is simply not the case when it comes to this lovely antique lighting store. It's a clean, organized shop run by a welcoming patron who knows a lot about the history of the area. It's not overly big, so things are easy to find-- glittery chandeliers, Tiffany style lamps, Art Deco wall sconces-- and nothing is caked in dust (you can actually SEE the lights!). Prices range depending on what you're looking for (as expected), but there's no problem finding the price as delicate tags hang about the room above you like snowflakes. Oh, and don't hesitate to ask him to turn all the lights on. It's spectacular to see everything lit up (even better, go at dusk for an even better view).

Would def return here for all my future planting needs!

And FYI, price-wise, they're considered on the higher-end! I've driven past this place a billion times, but never had any reason to pop in 'til now. I was greeted and after that I was basically able to browse without anyone bothering me. Whereas at another similar store, NO ONE approached me at all during the 45mins I was there. Female salesperson was helpful, but only after I asked many questions. She did mention she wasn't on commission, so perhaps that was the reason why. I found this place was good for window shopping, but price-wise, there was a HUGE markup. She told me a particular Kohler toilet was $600+, whereas it was $460 at a big box store. So definitely shop around if budget (or not being ripped off!) is of concern!

I signed up for a trial membership and they were so desperate to sign…read moreme up, they kept on coming back to me with more discounts and larger credits - that should have been my first red flag. I was looking for quite a few different items since we're renovating most of the house. However, DirectBuy was more expensive compared to what I could find locally or online, especially after factoring in all their hidden charges for mark-up, handling or shipping (and most items don't even ship to the home - you have to pick it up from the store or pay a second shipping fee to have another company ship it from the store to your home). One thing I liked when I signed up is they have this minimum guaranteed savings (e.g., hardwood flooring could be a minimum 20% cheaper guaranteed than any price available to the public). The problem was the staff in-store refused to honour this guarantee, providing different non-nonsensical excuses. Add to this their completely antiquated e-commerce website where you need to click through to the checkout page before you can see the true cost for an item, and this was all a huge waste of time. Don't bother with the travel side of the company either. I just got another telemarketing call from them and the guy wouldn't tell me what the fees were, at first pretending like my membership was still valid in his system, and kept on just beating around the bush. Save your time, save your money and avoid this terrible company.
