David Anderson has curated very cool things from India: ikat pillows, mango wood furniture, diaries, stately doors from South India, auto rickshaw models, scarves, shawls et al. A few of their embroidered chairs are a bit over the top; they would enhance the trip that one takes when one consumes certain chemicals! A quick browse through and I picked out ikat pillows that I liked and they were well within my budget. I noticed that the prices are very fair and they have items at various price points. Roula, the store manager, was very friendly and facilitated my search and my trip back home with excellent directions! While a sign warning you that you are on camera serves as your only greeting ( the person at the counter in the back either "does not speak" or "leaves you alone to let you shop" depending on how you look at it.) Art of Demolition has a nice range of old eclectic stuff similar to what you would see at a flea market. Old license plates, records, and posters, as well as larger items such as chest coca cola coolers (they had a fairly nice one for 700$) are here as well. Recently, they did some spring cleaning/reorganizing so it is much easier to navigate the small space. If you like old odds and ends, The Art of Demolition may have that special something you were looking for.

So disappointed We…read morebought a beautiful new washer dryer for our condo from Home Depot expecting the high standards I was used to them having in the past. Our experience cost us an extra 600$ and over two weeks of duress. The first delivery date was cancelled because of the complete lack of and outdated communication between the delivery department and us and we had to wait another two weeks to have the appliance delivered. When it was delivered the delivery men were not allowed to turn off the water for us we had to call the concierge only to discover that our water tap was stuck and wouldn't turn. They had to leave the new appliance in our hallway and so were unable to take away our old unit because we would be without a washer dryer. The two young delivery men were, professional, gentlemen, and knowledgeable. They were put in an awkward situation of not being able to complete their task while having to leave us equally frustrated and angry due to the complete lack of functional communication logistics and protocol between when we bought our unit in store and when it was delivered. We now have to hire a plumber to install the washer dryer and take the old one away at our extra time and money. I would write the correct protocol for Home Depot but I am tired of doing someone else's homework without any compensation. I have made billions of dollars for corporations over the years by writing in on their guest services websites and I am done paying my hard earned money to do someone else's job. For what it cost us, next time I need an appliance I will buy American because the cost will be the same and the service will be better. Don't waste your money at Home Depot anymore. The old grey mare is not what it used to be.

I saw one I'd picked up was Queen and asked if that's what I use on a double bed as I thought I was looking for "standard" size. I know you use Queen duvets and duvet covers so why not pillows? She told me she thinks they're the same thing and it would fit my pillow case, etc. Then I get home and realize I bought 1 standard pillow and 1 queen pillow. Now I'm an idiot for not realizing this, but how didn't she? It's your big sale item advertised in the window and you don't know you have both sizes available? All sizes are thrown in on the same shelf? I'm allowed to be dumb about this stuff but you work at a bedding store and don't know there's a difference between standard and Queen pillows? Now I have 2 different size pillows on my bed and it will drive me crazy forever and ever :)

Funny how a small shop like this calls itself Linen World, while huge box stores try to make themselves sound all cute and snuggly with names like Linens 'n' Things. However, Linen World beat out the box stores when I was just recently trying to track down a good breakfast/TV table for a bedridden relative. It was the only place that had a breakfast table (essentially a tray with stubby little legs), and it was even on sale for $40. Granted, it was still a bit flimsy at that price, and the only one in the shop, but beggars can't be choosers.

Unless money is no object, I don't think you can really just buy these rugs based on an IG-pic. Instead, you should really just shop in-person as you have to experience how these things feel in your hand and, more importantly, under your feet! Unless the rugs are hung on the wall, patterns/colours are a bit difficult to see. However, owner seemed really personable and can help you out! It would DEFINITELY help if you have an idea of the size before you trek out there tho. If you appreciate handmade, unique rugs and are willing to invest, check this Mellah out!

I don't understand why there are such low ratings here. I'm sure many people here are just browsing, and I rather have a sales rep give us the space and only come to us if we need help and seriously find a piece we're considering. So I have no issues with how no one really came up to us. There's a lot of lighting, but personally, not enough contemporary/modern lighting to our liking. We did take some pictures of the few we liked that are more contemporary-inspired. However, we don't love it enough to pull the trigger. The prices for the lighting are very high for the ones we looked at, about $1500 (for that round chandelier) to $5600 (Criss Cross silver lighting). We liked the look of the round chandelier the most. To our surprise, our neighbour has the same one. So loses that unique appeal. Also don't know how we would change the light if it burns out? Lighting is all personal preference. This trip nothing really screamed "this is the one" for us. If you're into other design themes like traditional, industrial, mid-century modern etc, you may find there is more to your liking than the modern/contemporary styles here. I still recommend to check it out though for yourself if you're in the market for lighting.
