John, the owner, kindly walked us through some of their items and their origin. Very interesting indeed. Unattainable, but lovely nonetheless. The only price tag I saw was a cushion for $300 and that was enough for me. It is obvious that everything here was carefully curated to suit a certain aesthetic. A unique blend of a Japanese exhibit at a museum and expensive Ikea! Probably the most stunning furniture store that I've stepped foot in.

Having never heard of this store before, I was a little skeptical about placing an online order…read morewith this store for shipping to Calgary. My order was for a stand mixer that was out of stock Canada wide except at this store. Before placing the order I had some questions about the product/model so I called customer service line to ask some questions. Leanne from customer service helped answer all my questions and was very knowledgable about the particular mixer I was asking about. After I got off the phone with customer service I went ahead and placed my order online. An hour later customer service left me a voicemail asking me to call in to verify my identity and credit card information prior to order shipment. So I called back and Leanne answered again and mentioned that this is their standard policy for relatively large purchases like the one I was making and it is for my protection, again much appreciated and personable customer service. Leanne promised to personally follow up on my order to make sure it gets shipped out promptly. The order got shipped out before the end of the day. It shipped via Canada post and arrived in approx. 1.5 weeks. Received the product and found everything in the package as promised. The box was in pretty good condition and didn't appear to have been mishandled or abused at the warehouse or during shipping. The unit was brand new and looked better than the same unit that I bought and returned to Sears because it appeared to have been opened. They even left a thank you note in the box which again was very personable and nice to see. Overall my experience with this store and customer service has been very pleasant. I wouldn't hesitate to place another online order with this store in the future.

However, the showroom and some of the furniture pieces are breathtaking. This store has some unique luxury pieces. I like their huge selection of patio furniture and you'll see their set up of large umbrellas and gazebos. Great to actually see something IRL already set up. Not much sales in their patio section right now though we suspect that may change come a month from now. Understandably higher prices since there are many tags claiming "Made in Canada", and the sales rep told us the couches we were looking at are Made in Sweden. We didn't expect to buy anything there, but now we're seriously considering this couch we saw since a couch is something we're thinking of investing in. I love that when you walk in no sales rep follows you around. They allow you to explore the store and only come to assist you if you ask. It's not high pressure, a very relaxed atmosphere. The sales rep we spoke with was also helpful letting us know options of the couch and answering all questions. Letting us know we can choose an easy care fabric for maintenance. Sofas start from ~$2000-3000 and can increase to $7000+ depending on your customized material. Shipping is $300~. Note you may experience sticker shock on some pieces, like the knitted patio one-seater for ~$7000. I will seriously fail if I'm ever on Price is Right for furniture.

I got a pig-shaped breakfast mould for making pancakes and eggs. It was $2 and I wanted to give it a try. I also got an ice cube tray where the cubes are pineapple-shaped. It was also silicone and was going for a reduced price of $2. As much as I loved the food and kitchen accessories, everything else in the store wasn't as interesting to me. Maybe I have visited too many HomeSense stores with cool items as of late. Other than my two items that I purchased, everything else was okay. I eventually made it to the checkout to pay for my items. I had a cheerful woman who helped me with my transaction. All went well. I'll come back down the road to check out the store some more. I was thrilled to find my two great deals and hope to find more soon. (333)
