I wanted to return a single item that was purchased at different location just half hour prior and it was as though she didn't believe me or didn't understand, all the while starring at the receipt! Second employee could've cared less to take accountability over misplaced and mismarked items that I brought to her attention. Her dismissive response "yeah, yeah everything has a label so..." rubbed me wrong way! If the item were at all visible and not buried under other products I would've gladly gotten it myself and not ask her to help me dig for it. I won't be shopping on-line with them again but would deal with the stores. I've shopped personally at a couple of the stores and they were generally pleasant to do business with. HomeSense is a large department store with brand name products at very decent prices…read more It's part of parent TJX Companies holding that also includes Winners & Marshalls so you might notice some similarities in how all these stores is layed out. HomeSense stores have brand name merchandise for any room in your home including art, furniture, lighting and rugs. The consumer target market is drop-in customers as you can't shop on-line (...which is currently the case). On any given week they can stock a product you may never see stocked again. Other HomeSense stores may not have the same product on hand. If you like it, then I suggest you buy as you can always return it if you change your mind. Staff are helpful and checkouts are fairly quick.

I gave the sales lady all the measurement of the cabinets, drawing from an online design layout, pictures of my current space and specs and links to all the appliances NOT ONCE, NOT TWICE but THREE TIMES and when the installers finally came they asked me for the appliance measurements AGAIN. The owner had also come to do the on site measurements but for some reason he did not pass the information on the sales lady who orders the cabinets. I get that I don't speak their language BUT THEY DON'T COMMUNICATE WELL BETWEEN EACH OTHER EITHER. Needless to say the bank of pantries where not the right size. In addition I was supposed to have two 30 inch base cabinets in my dining room. Instead I got one 30 inch and two 15 inch cabinets. The reason I was told was the 30 inch was discontinued so THEY made an executive decision to give me two 15 inch cabinets without calling me or giving me a heads up. The construction of the cabinets are not normal. They have an inside trim that the doors sit on creating a lip so you can't slide things out. You need to lift them out. I was told it would be 2 to 3 weeks for delivery. I had to paid a very large deposit and make the final payment before the installation date. To make matters worse, 2 to 3 week delivery was 2 months and the sales lady/owner only allowed 2 days for installation. It took 4 days but they didn't do it all in 4 consecutive days. No, they came on Monday and Tuesday and told me they couldn't come back until Saturday and Sunday which completely ruined my weekend. The installers where good but everything in between was APPALLING. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THESE GUYS. THERE ARE FAR BETTER PLACES OUT THERE AT THE SAME PRICE POINT.
