I am not a regular Bed Bath & Beyond shopper. I have dropped by this store in Richmond Hill in the past, but I average shopping here every few years! For the longest time, I have wanted a Sodastream machine. I like the idea of making my own fizzy drinks and feeling classy sipping them. I like the thought of reducing the number of cans and bottles I use when buying pop and sparking drinks. Every little bit helps. I noticed in my inbox that Bed Bath & Beyond had a $20 coupon of an entire order. I decided to use it towards my new Sodastream machine. I also ordered a bottle of raspberry mint syrup to get started on my adventure making fizzy drinks. I ordered online and used my coupon to get $20 off my order. I chose to pick up both items. The minor problem? The Sodastream model that I wanted was available at my local Markham location and not at this store. My raspberry mint syrup was in stock here, but not at the Markham store. Yes, I visited two different Bed Bath & Beyond stores within two hours. It was nice getting reacquainted with them. This store is with a bunch of box stores, including Winners, PetSmart, Best Buy, and more. There was plenty of parking on a Saturday afternoon. I browsed around the store. It was clean and bright. I looked at hand sanitizer and masks, and planted myself in the small appliances section for the longest time. I went to the pickup counter. My wait wasn't long. I gave the woman my name and a brief description of my item. She went to a couple of locked cabinets to fetch my bottle of beverage syrup. I provided photo ID (yay to an expired driver's licence that is valid these days during this pandemic) and the bottle was mine. I thanked her and left. On my way out the door, I was mesmerized by a cute Sun Bum ape mascot holding a tube of lip balm. I looked like such a tourist taking a photo of him. Sadly, he wasn't for sale. Had to order something last minute for my wife and the process was very alsnooth. Signed up for an account on line, placed the order and confirmation was first thing the next day as with many curbside pick ups, you just pull into a stall, clock on the 'I'm here' link and within a few moments, the rep comes out with your order. On this particular day, it was raining and I felt badly as the rep did not have an umbrella. It is much appreciated the work that these folks do to keep the business running smoothly. You also need to trust the order to ensure it is accurate. I had ordered some towels and bedsheets with no issues. Overstock USA bought the Bed Bath and Beyond name a couple of years ago. Now it's an online shopping website selling products from assorted vendors. All the Canadian stores have closed. But Amazon it ain't. I ordered an electric barbeque in early July and was promised it would arrive by July 30th. A week later I received an email from them saying, "good news, you order will arrive early" -- by July 31st. I tried viewing my order on their website and getting tracking information but each time was told the webpages could not be found. The online shop seems to have been bought by some shady company. They don't respond to emails about their crappy products. And they're using the name of the shop that was legitimate to pretend to be legitimate. Don't shop here. It's overpriced junk priced high to make it appear more legitimate. You will be lucky if your items arrive at all. I ordered an electric blanket that lasted for just months, through spring and summer. And my friend bought sheets that claimed to be in Canada but they were sent from Hong Kong, and said they were delivered to her after several months, but they never left Hong Kong. Don't trust these scam companies who use legitimate names to market their junk. It's the same with all the shady marketplace sellers on legitimate sites. read more

I visited this location yesterday and had a really positive experience. I called the store before driving to the store to see if they had a yoga strap. The lady did a product check and found the item in-store for me. She then put the item on hold and I drive to the store to pick it up. The item was waiting for me at the front so I just had to say my name and Kay for the product. The cashier asked if I had a coupon, which I did not and told me how I could get one. I checked my email but was unable to find it. I thought it was really sweet of the cashier to try and save me money. I now know they send out a monthly coupon code so I'll have to save it next month for if I need to buy anything. Wound I return to this location? - Definitely!!! read more

Apart from all of the furniture shopping I have been doing lately, another important element is accessorizing your home. This is where Bed Bath & Beyond steps in. After picking out my bed, I needed to purchase new bedding, considering my bedding in my room at my parent's house looks like an over-the-top teenage girl would want with all of the girly colours. For my man and I, I wanted adult looking bedding that had colour, appeared classy looking and was not expensive. What I found was a TON of great bedding in the bed-in-a-bag packages, which is always a great decor money saver. I found at least 5 different styles that I liked! In the end, I picked up this very light green bedding with white trim, which cost only $160 in the bed-in-a-bag format. The bed-in-a-bag included the following bedding pieces: - A thick and cozy comforter - 1 flat sheet - 1 mattress sheet - 2 pillowcases - 2 decorative pillowcases - 2 euro decorative pillowcases - 1 rectangular decorative pillow - 1 neckroll decorative pillow With all of these contents and the fact that the material is soft and the colour is fantastic, I would definitely say it was an amazing buy. I would recommend this store to anyone who is decorating on a budget. I know I will be visiting Bed Bath & Beyond again this week to pick out fun green accessories for my bathroom! read more

I particularly hate shopping for anything that you have to go to a million stores and see what everybody has and how the prices are all crazy, etc but I do have patience for this store, surprisingly! Bed Bath & Beyond, is a great store, I would like to buy one of everything if I could! But... I cant because well I don't have that money and well where the hell would I put everything? hmm maybe a bigger house! lol This store has a bit of everything you may need for you place, it really is for for bed, your bath, and beyond, way beyond! Anything from toilet scrubbers to Kitchen utensils! Although I hope you don't use them both at the same time.. I don't particularly like shopping for stuff, i usually have a mission of something I "have" to buy and go on an obsessive rant to try to get it. But for Bed Bath & Beyond, it's one of those stores that I just love to browse through! This location is a newly opened location, it's a massive big box store, surrounded by other equally massive stores! It opens extra early which is a bonus too. They have everything from Bed, bath, kitchen, laundry, home decor, storage stuff, anything home related. They often have coupons in their flyer, so look out for those. it's usually 20% off one item in the store. I bought a throw blanket, super comfy and warm for a little over $3! It was on sale and then I had the 20% coupon, what an awesome deal! read more

Talk about excellent customer service! I just came here from Houston which as many know, is the heart of southern hospitality. But Toronto definitely has it. Registering here for our wedding was such a pleasant experience. Sandra got us started with the warmest congratulations and then there was Michael who took us around the store and gave us tips on what items are useful, durable, popular, etc. They even stayed late for us until we got as much done as possible. The other employees were just as helpful. Two thumbs up for great customer service!! There is a wide variety of items available here that fits every budget. This Bed Bath & Beyond is consistent with this chain's stores. The staff is helpful and efficient. I went to return an item because I received two of the same gifts, and the process was quick and painless. I really hate it when stores make you jump through hoops to go through their return/exchange process. BBB at this store did not make go through anything painful. My only complaint is that US stores have identical products for 10-20% lower in price. What gives, our currency has been practically at par for years now. read more

Great store lots of housewares and gadgets to choose from. Make sure you sign up for emails so as to receive discount coupons. Staff at the front were very nice and price matched an item I had purchased elsewhere. I needed a new kitchen garbage can and was thrilled to purchase at a $10 saving from their competitor. Yeh! The first time we decided to give BBB a chance at our money. We wanted to purchase a $400 juicer. It wasn't available in the store so the pleasant and obviously customer service oriented guy offered to order it for us online while we were in the store. He says that any orders placed by them online in the store had the shipping charges waived. So we said to him that's a huge competitive advantage seeing as how nowadays I can get this stuff any where (seen it in home outfitters, canadian tire, etc). Overall I would have given this experience a 5/5. The next week we returned to get another item ordered online in the store because of this great no shipping charge policy. I have to say though that this time the experience have really soured me (and therefore my wife and our wallet) on BBB. This time the csr said we couldn't get the shipping charges waived. When I asked to speak with the manager of the store so to see if I can get confirmation from someone with the correct information I felt like we were stone-walled. And then some 'team leader' came and read us the riot act about how they never had such a policy. The ironic thing is that it was the store manager who waived our shipping charges the prior week. I was really impressed by the customer service the first time. And not so the second time, though it's true that the csr who looked after us was very helpful the second time also (she called another location for us and was juggling several customers), but I'm a little miffed especially since I felt like we were given mixed messages. I asked the senior person helping us if this was something new thinking perhaps things had changed since last week and she said it was always this way and the person who waived our shipping charge was wrong? To be honest if they send my wife another 20% off coupon we'll probably be back because she likes their stuff. But we were shopping all day and the service everywhere else was more mindful of our concerns. read more

This Bed Bath and Beyond is one of my favourite locations. It's big and has a wide selection of everything you need, from kitchen supplies to bedroom and bathroom supplies. It's pretty much every home owner's wonderland. You can find the most interesting things in the store. Everything is organized, fully stocked and it is very easy to find what you are looking for. Might I add the customer service at this particular location is pretty good. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. They always have enough staff at the cash registers so you are not waiting in line forever. I will definitely be coming back to this particular location when it comes to shopping for my home decorating needs. read more

I ordered online and received a wrong item, so I asked for a return label and the right item to be shipped to me asap, however they wouldn't do it until the process the wrong item back to the warehouse, which would take about a week or so, I could wait that long so I ordered somewhere else and asked for a refund. Now, it's been a month and I haven't received my money even when they confirmed they received the item back, very slow and arduous process to fix something it was completely their fault. read more

I have gone out of my way to shop at this particular location of BBB. The customer service here is exceptional; so much so, I was in awe, and still am, some time after the experience, of just how much consideration staff and management provided to me at the time of my purchase inquiry. (An issue at the supplier level; not the retail distribution or store.) BBB priced-match my purchase to another retailer's offer, and consistently worked with me in the purchase, then order, and then re-order, and replacement of the item. The same follow-through and care was maintained via their 1-800 US Customer Service Phone Number (servicing Canadian consumers), and worked to problem solve not only the issue I raised, but where it stemmed from; the process promoting a deep appreciation, of not customer service, but something greater - conscientiousness - in management of this particular retail location; and then of the BBB company, as a whole. As others have mentioned here, the prices at BBB are comparable to other retailers in the same category. But, like I said, BBB does price-match, and truthfully, if a premium is paid on an item (in comparison to the other retailers), given the level of care BBB provides, the "extra cost" is a total bargain. Even during long line-ups around holiday shopping, I have been checked out quickly, and efficiently, and with sincere gratitude I brought my business to the store. My daughter and I were at the Richmond Hill location last night on Monday August 17th, she is going away to school in Halifax and we were getting some items for her dorm. We were at the cash and the cashier(very helpfully) let us know that we could choose items and pick them up in Dartmouth. This was very helpful information and we decided to use this service. All of the staff people we encountered at this location were very helpful and friendly! Gillian was the sales associate who helped us. I wanted to take the time to let you know how much we appreciated her assistance. She was very enthusiastic, friendly, informative and extremely helpful with her recommendations. There are many sales people that I've encountered who aren't helpful or who are rude, and it was so wonderful to encounter someone like Gillian who obviously enjoys her job and is really delightful and engaging. I will definitely be recommending your store and especially Gillian to all my friends who have university age children who are going off to school. I was very impressed with this service provided by Bed Bath and Beyond, it is so helpful and such a stress relief as we had planned to shop in Dartmouth a few days before she moved into residence....but there was uncertainty about the level of stock and items that would be available at that time. Thank you for providing this great service, it is greatly appreciated. I really hope Gillian receives this feedback and it goes into her employee file, she should really be commended for her great attitude and communication skills. A totally hassle free experience when I had to exchange a double hang closet rod that broke. I called into the store to confirm that I could exchange the product or get store credit. When I went to the store, I spoke with the same person as the phone: Alfredo. He didn't ask me any questions about the product or my lack of a receipt. I simply waited at the counter while a staff member was asked to locate the same product on the floor and bring it to the counter. This is the reason I will continue to shop at BB&B (and this store in particular). The customer service is excellent. The only negative is that there are so many wonderful things at this place, you usually find yourself walking out with a few goodies. I found a lovely candle and some pillowcases that I just had to get! While I'm sure I could get the same or similar products for less elsewhere, the peace of mind one gets by shopping here is worth it to me. read more

I wouldn't normally post a review on anything online, however, I am so frustrated with the lack of customer service that the Bed Bath & Beyond Richmond Location has provided - I just have to share. A family member of mine purchased items off of my baby registry, mid May and had it shipped to my house. For whatever reason Fedex didn't deliver the package and shipped it back to their store. The lady called to let me know it had been returned and to confirm the address, she was going to ship the package back out to me June 1st. To this day I have not received the package. Everytime I call the store I'm re-directed to one woman who is the only person, apparently, that can handle the issue. She never calls back. I've now spent over an hour on hold trying to sort this issue out and they still have no clue where the package is, what happened to the package etc. Super Frustrating!! read more
