I recently needed to pick up some new kitchen lighting. I did some searching online and found that…read moreSupreme Lighting was a supplier of the brand i was looking for. I have passed the store a few dozen times cutting through Laidlaw to get to Highway 7, but never had the chance to or needed to stop in. As soon as you walk in the showroom they have their counter space and desks to the left, so there is usually someone to greet you once you walk in. It didn't take more than 15 seconds for someone to approach me & ask if i needed any help. They didn't try to up-sell me on anything more expensive than what i was looking for. Answered all of our questions and really knew all of the products really well. Their showroom is very inviting with all the different styles of contemporary, modern, classic lighting options. Lots of lighting for indoor & outdoor plus they sell various shapes & sizes of energy saver bulbs. They didn't have style i was looking for, but it only took a couple of minutes to locate it in the catalogue and order it. The pricing was fantastic and beat everything i found online and at other lighting stores in Toronto. I went in to buy 1 kitchen light and ended up buying 2 because the price was so great - we got a deal on pricing for purchasing more than 1 product. Plus i wanted the 2 fixtures in the kitchen to match, so it worked out great. We placed an order on a Saturday and by Wednesday of the following week our lights were in! If you don't have an electrician, they have a 3rd party they can refer you to (doesn't work for Supreme LIghting) than can quote you based on the product and time it will take. Now it's time for some new outdoor lighting and i'm looking forward to going back to the showroom!

This is another hidden gem in Markham. The selection of interior and exterior lighting rivals…read morelighting stores near Orfus Road. The location is superb for people who live north of Toronto. The showroom is a good size. There are lights for every room in a house, including hallways. There are many styles, mostly classic mainstream, contemporary and some latest LED lights. There is a separate room for chandeliers. The design of the various lights are quite nice. What I like is that the 2 salespeople I talked are knowledgeable about the built quality, the materials used and the history and reputation of the manufacturers of the few lighting fixtures I inquired. The pricing is higher than the usual Home Depot or Canadian Tire stocks, but that is to be expected. It seems to be cheaper than Union Lighting to me. There are some items on sale. Those items are priced very competitively.

I came to this location to rent a truck last minute and the shop owner, Andy, was very helpful and friendly. He was very accomodating when I told him I needed my truck at 8:30am (he opens at 9:30am) and came 30 mins earlier to meet with me. He also helped me save money by suggesting I make my truck rental a round trip instead of one way. Throughout the whole process it didn't feel like Andy was trying to make money off me but actually trying to help me get the best deal. There was no upsell at all. I recommend him if you ever need a truck rental.

I repost my review from the old page to here, because I bought a light after Crystal World had…read moremoved. I wrote a review on the old page, then told Yelp HD of the new address. === Crystal World is a wholesaler of crystal lighting, such as chandeliers, table lamps, wall light fixtures, etc. It is also in the business of wedding decor rental. You can rent directly from them, bypassing any middlemen or wedding planners. Since CW is a wholesaler, I didn't buy directly from it, but instead through one of its distributors. I like a few things about buying Crystal World products: 1) CW is a big wholesaler. Its distributors range from independent boutiques to chained stores (eg Living Lighting) to big boxers (eg Home Depot). I like the assurance that a wholesaler of this scale can provide, such as warranty 2) CW's warehouse is local. Unless an item is out of stock, customers usually get the lights they order in a week. No need to pay then wait 2 months to pick up your goods 3) I bought from a small lighting retailer just 10 minutes drive from CW's head office. My selection was not limited to the samples hung on the ceiling. I was allowed to select ANY LIGHT FROM SIX CATALOGUES. I felt like I was shopping from the wholesaler's warehouse. Though some selections were not what I was looking for, I nevertheless appreciated the freedom to choose. The shopping experience, unusually so for lighting fixtures, was liberating, fast, and one-stop-shopping convenient. 4) The built quality is okay enough. What we bought is no European light fixture, but it is good enough. And pretty enough. I can't comment much on prices, because it depends on where you buy from. Some stores let you negotiate, while some don't.
