I read all the negative reviews but was attracted by the online price of a mini-chandelier that was not available anywhere else in T'O. Don, the salesperson at the Mississauga store, took my order and told me that it would take several weeks to order. He would email me when the fixture arrived. Estimated date of arrival: Nov. 24. I asked to pick up the fixture at the Spadina store. Don wrote it on my receipt. In mid-Dec., I called the Spadina store to confirm that the chandelier had arrived. I had not received any email beforehand. The clerk had no record of the order. He could not find it on the computer. I called Don at the Mississauga store. He took down my info and said he would look into it. More than 6 hrs went by and still no answer from Don or anyone else at Ultra Lighting. I needed the fixture - my electrician was waiting. I called again. Don said that he had called the supplier and that the supplier had no record of the order!! WTF. I asked for a refund. He said I could go to the Mississauga store to process the refund. I asked him to simply do it himself and gave him my credit card number. He agreed and said he would send me either a text or an email when the refund was processed. 3 days have gone by. The refund has been posted to my credit card account. No email from Don. Why do people say they will do something and then, fail to do it? I'm just glad I used a credit card for the deposit. Otherwise, it might have been difficult to get my money back.

We purchased a crystal shaded chandelier for our powder room that ran a few hundred dollars from…read moreultra lighting back in the summer of 2010. We were told it would take 4-6 weeks since it was coming from china. No big deal since our renovations would be taking about 2 months to complete anyways. By the time the 6th week rolled by we hadn't heard anything from them. My wife called them numerous times, each time they said they would look into it, took down her number and then never called her back. By the 10th week we finally had our fixture, but they had brought in the wrong color shade! It took another 3 weeks of chasing them before we finally ended up with the correct shade. I don't know what it is about the home furnishing industry but it seems when someone quotes you a delivery time you should really double it to get the real date. Once they have your money, customer service falls to the wayside. It's a shame because they have some really nice light fixtures at reasonable prices, but based on the round around we received, I'd recommend looking elsewhere unless your item is in stock.
