I am so glad I contacted American Telegram to send a telegram to a financial institution to have a $100K contract cancelled. Long story as short as possible that is. My wife had been pressured to sign loan documents for a home solar electric system. Upon further investigation and research we found the solar company was less than reputable. I then contacted American Telegram on line and had them send a same day hand delivered telegram to the financial institution to cancel the contract. The process was very easy and super quick. We recently sent a telegram via American Telegram to a relative in the burn unit of a San Francisco hospital that was to be delivered on a Tuesday. When speaking with the relative early that evening it was clear he had not received the telegram. We then contacted American Telegram to determine the status and were told it had been delivered that morning. Unknown to us, our relative had been moved to a new ward and it appeared the hospital had not made the delivery. We were contacted again by American Telegram to let us know they had made a second delivery, at no charge, at 9:30 Tuesday evening, providing us with the name of the nurse that signed for the telegram. The staff at American Telegram went above and beyond all expectations. They were quick to respond, courteous and happy to assist with delivery of a telegram that would make such a difference to someone in need. I have only extremely positive things to say about our American Telegram experience. We had entered into a purchase and loan agreement for a home improvement project and were already encountering difficulties with the loan company. With only three hours left before midnight of our three day grace period, sending a legally binding telegram cancelling the contract was our only viable option. We found the American Telegram website, which advertised that it had live operators available till midnight. We called and they took it from there. They handled everything perfectly, from issuing the telegram, which was date stamped, to hand delivery of the cancellation notice the next day, to the follow up with us confirming that everything was done in accordance with FTC requirements. Please do not use this company .. they are SCAM ARTISTS. Google for "american telegram review" and check out the invisible blog. You'll see many other people other than myself got ripped off by this fake money grab "service". I wish I would have read all of those reviews before wasting my own money. I'm on a fixed income and every dollar counts for me. I'm so livid I could scream. Basically they charge you over $100 to either send a fax or fedex a letter for you. In my case, I was sending condolence to a loved one's family at a funeral and all they did was fax something to the funeral home. They charged me almost $150. That's all they do. After carefully reviewing a contract i had signed I realized this was not the correct choice and decided to cancel the contract. I needed to cancel a contract that was going to be extremely detrimental to me and the only way to do it was by telegram in another state hours away. I searched online to see if you could even still send telegrams in the United States and I found American Telegram. It was so easy to send the telegram and request verification of delivery. This is the best experience I have ever had when trying to cancel a contract. As I had never done this before I was at a complete loss aswhat to do. My agent Roger was amazing. Needed to cancel a contract so used American Telegram services. Everything was great - I requested a file copy and a signature on delivery. Shortly after I received an email with the file copy pdf, and once it was delivered I received both a notification that it was delivered as well as a scanned document of the signature page. I canceled a window contract on day two of a three-day cancellation period. I am not sure how it happened, but American Telegram got the window company to sign off on the transaction in like 45 mins. Nuts. In any case, the only downside was I got all the receipts and required signature add ons and the telegram cost 91 dollars. :-( read more
