Dean recommended upgrading from 7 year old Wifi equipment to Ubiquiti equipment and suggested wall-mounting the access points for optimal signal distribution. His advice was invaluable. In addition to the Wifi Access Point placement, Dean also recommended to hardwire the APs directly to the primary router. This way there would be no loss in bandwidth. Dean provided a detailed quote that was very close to the final cost, with the total coming within 20% of his initial estimate. Dean's co-work Larry performed the installation. Larry has over 20 years of network cabling experience and showed up on time. He followed the guidance given to him by Dean and finished all of his work on schedule. Our company was experiencing some real hardships with the previous alarm company (who will go…read moreunnamed). Everything from the contract term and renewal to the quality of service to the monitoring costs for the fire and burglary services. We went looking for a better all-in-one option and contacted several companies: JMG, ADT, Everon, SSD Systems and Viviant. It wasn't until I spoke with Ian Pfitzer-Ortiz in their commercial sales department that I really started to find a solution. Ian came out to the office and did a thorough inspection, learned that we had an existing system that we owned - so theoretically should have been an easy take over from the previous company. However, easy it was not. The control panel had several "lock out codes" from the previous company - preventing it from properly communicating with the central station. Then the mobile application wasn't notifying management of events (arms, disarms, troubles and alarms), like it had previously. We contacted the Bay Alarm service department and they were unable to resolve the issue over the phone. So, they sent service technician Freddy Medina to troubleshoot on site. He got on the phone with his programming department and they explored multiple theories of why the system wasn't properly working. At the end of the day, after teleconferencing with the panel's manufacturer and the previous alarm company, Freddy and his service team were able to resolve the issue. Everything is working properly and Bay Alarm did what was needed to find a solution. It means a lot when a company goes the extra mile to fix a problem that they didn't create - just to ensure customer satisfaction! Thank you Ian for taking the time to properly represent Bay Alarm and their services and thank you Freddy, for being the face of the customer service for Bay Alarm - with the patience and tenacity to get the job done right! Now, Bay Alarm services our burglary alarm system and when our contract with the "other" company is up in December - they will take over that system too. 1 Star - Extremely Frustrating Experience…read more I've had a very disappointing experience with Bay Alarm. I was only in Suite F during 2025, and never used Suite E. When I moved from Suite E to Suite F, I was told by their representative that my account would be transferred. At no point was I informed that Suite E would remain active. Then in December 2025, I called to cancel my service for Suite F. I was told it was canceled and that I would receive a confirmation email. That confirmation never came at the time. Now I'm being charged again, including for Suite E (which I never used in 2025) and for 2026 service that I never agreed to continue. This makes absolutely no sense: * Why was Suite E never closed when I moved? * Why would I be billed for TWO alarm accounts when I only occupied one space? * Why was my cancellation not properly processed? It feels like a complete breakdown in communication and account management on their end, and now I'm being asked to pay for their mistakes. I've tried resolving this multiple times and keep having to repeat myself with no clear resolution. I was actually planning to use Bay Alarm again for a new location, but after this experience, I've completely lost trust in the company. If this isn't resolved, I will not only refuse payment for incorrect charges but will continue sharing my experience. Be very careful when working with this company -- make sure EVERYTHING is confirmed in writing.
