I brought in Veritas Security to patrol my vacant rental in Long Beach for a couple of months (August-October), and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Had a horrible run in with this company while walking in the Irvine Reserve. A truck pulled up behind us (I was walking with my wife, 3 young kids and our miniature poodle) and the man in the truck, who did not identify himself, started yelling at us aggressively about dogs not being allowed in the reserve (we honestly had no idea). I responded that we were not aware that dogs were not allowed in the reserve and that we were actually already walking to the exit and would be leaving. The man in the truck continued yelling aggressively at which point my wife asked him if instead of yelling if he would get out of the truck and come have a conversation and he responded, "I won't get out of my truck because of your aggressive behavior" (we had done nothing but respond and comply with his request to leave). At this time, I pulled out my phone and started to record and told the man that I was recording the interaction for the safety of my family. At this time we continued to walk toward the nearest exit and he followed us very closely in his truck. I asked why he felt the need to follow us when we were complying with his request to leave and he stated he needed to "escort us off of the property." When we reached a T in the path (the exit very obviously to the left) he yelled at us to take an immediate left and get off the property. We got to the exit and he continued to follow us in his truck even though we had exited the reserve. At this point I requested that he provide his identification which he refused to do other than stating "you can call me officer Hernandez." I responded that he had no identification or badge to claim that he was an officer and requested identification once more. He scoffed at me and stated I already gave you my name, it is officer." He then continued to follow us for an additional half mile while we were off of the reserve property. This is extremely concerning if this what Veritas considers to be professional and acceptable standards for their employees. read more

Very grateful that I came across Veritas Security Services. I was looking for a Security Guard for my fundraising event and Honour, the gentleman that I spoke to on the phone, was the only person that was willing to work with me and give me a custom price that works for me. Most other Security companies require a fixed price or fixed hours that are too much for me. They ended up sending Cedric, who is friendly and very effective as a Security guard. I hired Veritas to chase out intruders who had illegally overtaken my Section 8 rental property in South LA. The security guards were on time, very professional, and made me feel safe and secure. They ensured that my rental unit was vacated (and stayed empty) while I navigated the court system, Sheriff's department, and Section 8. They even stayed on site while I had the locks changed and windows boarded up. As a petite female landlord in a rough part of town, I can't tell you how EMPOWERED and safer I felt with Maurice and Juan on site to PROTECT me, and be on MY side, and work for ME while we dealt with riffraff.
