My husband and I hired American Protection Security to provide security for our wedding and we are so happy we did! We asked for two armed security guards to provide protection services for our reception of 300 guests. The pricing was very reasonable and he was willing to work with us to meet our budgetary needs. We asked for one security guard to patrol the front area and another to patrol the parking lot area. Both security guards were very courteous and respectful. We are a non-profit that hosts a two-day festival in October that features selling beer and wine as our only fundraiser. We usually have about 1600 -1800 people during the event and a lot of them are drinking while listening to the bands. The security guard sent by APS, Robert, was the best guy we've had patrol the fairgrounds at this event. He was there from 10 AM to 10 PM, was friendly, helpful, alert and clearly was comfortable with the scene and enforcing the rules. A pleasure working with him. Wally, the owner, was in weekly contact with me prior to the event, and it was reassuring knowing that we didn't have to worry about the guard showing up wondering who to contact if something needed attention. Do not contract with this company. Our HOA brought them on board to do late-night shifts a few times per week. They sent our Board "daily activity reports" that spelled out what they did hourly on their foot patrols. The problem? I reviewed our own security camera footage and watched a guard sit in his car for an entire 3-hour shift. No foot patrols. No securing of the entrances/exits. Nothing. He did get our $40/hour though. I'm assuming this was typical of the other three nights of the week as well. Absolutely do not depend on this company for your community's safety. read more
