We did this already, but they say they don't have it but offer two months free hoping our buyer if home would want it. we say okay but if at the end of two months house hasn't sold, cancel. They did not and drafted out our account. We call back, same mess different day. We submit documentation and forward previous emails. Time went by, they tried to draft again but we removed auto draft. Sent bill with late fee. Get on phone again and here we are trying to cancel since September 2025, it's mid April 2026, still not cancelled and they refuse to give us the months back they drafted and saying they have no record of verifying our payoff of equipment or cancellation. So I will never recommend them ever because cancelling isn't option. Seeking legal action now. We have names of cancelling department, emails and proof of payoff. Do not use them.

Even though I no longer own the house where the equipment was installed and cannot transfer the service to my current residence, Vivint continues to expect me to pay monthly for a security system that I cannot use and no longer have. I contacted customer service hoping the company would review my circumstances and provide a reasonable solution. Instead, I received very little assistance, understanding, or flexibility. I explained that this is not a situation where I simply changed my mind or decided that I no longer wanted the service. I sold my home, moved into rental housing, and am unable to install the system because of restrictions beyond my control. Vivint has the ability to waive the remainder of a customer's contract under certain circumstances, but the representatives I spoke with were unwilling to help or seriously consider my request. It is incredibly frustrating to be charged every month for equipment and services that are not available to me. A reputable company should consider a customer's individual circumstances instead of hiding behind contract language and continuing to collect payments for a service that cannot be provided. The lack of compassion and practical problem-solving from Vivint's customer service department has completely changed my opinion of the company. Customers should carefully review every detail of the contract before signing, particularly the cancellation and relocation provisions. Life circumstances change, homes are sold, and people sometimes move into properties where installation is prohibited. Based on my experience, Vivint may still expect payment regardless. I cannot recommend Vivint Security. Their unwillingness to provide a fair resolution has left me paying for nothing and feeling completely disregarded as a customer.

He also tailored the field for each camera to avoid cars driving by triggering a ring alert. More importantly, he worked with us and Ring Customer support for an extended period to bring all three cameras online. Due to some Ring technical glitch, only 2 of the 3 cameras were showing in our Ring phone apps. His expertise saved the day. We would not have been nearly as successful navigating with Ring without Mark to guide the conversation. I might also add that he is exceedingly patient as it took 3 calls with Ring before the problem was fixed.

They claim to have cloud-based storage but never actually set up our system to connect to the servers, meaning that we could not use any footage to help people in our building. The one time they did address an issue they left trash all over the entry way and "fixed it." The person answering the service line is belligerent and rude. They really need to think about customer service and how they talk to clients. I would start by firing him. Finally, this business is not BBB Accredited! Use a reliable company and skip this group.

Need a dependable security provider? I recommend looking elsewhere.
