Our account manager Jennifer got a technician out within 48 hours to do a proper inspection in order to start a plan for mitigation and allow us to feel better about moving forward with the property. Her plan included a thorough and detailed approach, and from start to finish she was available via email and phone to answer all of our questions. She took full accountability when there was a scheduling hiccup and worked to ensure that the re-schedule happened the next day. Can't ask for better customer service than that. Andrew, our technician, was extremely knowledgable, capable, and thorough with how he installed the mitigation system. He went above and beyond and educated us on the different components and why he made the choices he made. He sealed all of the cracks in an entire basement and to be honest, it looks much better than it did before. The work was impeccable. Finally, Brian was prompt to drop off and pick up the post-mitigation tests. We decided to do 3 tests throughout the house - and they all came back less than 1pCi/L!!! I will repeat that last part - less than one!!! I received a prompt call from Jennifer to discuss the great news and follow up on next steps to ensure the numbers continue to stay low. Radon Safety LLC quoted the sellers $1398.00 for the installation. I received the check at closing for the work to be completed. When the radon company tech came out, he said it would be an additional $300.00 because he had to hire another company to core a hole in my foundation. He then had to make a call to coordinate with the other company to set up another appt when they were both available. I had to take another day off of work, but they both showed up and the job was completed in about 2 hrs. At the very least, they should have requested what type of foundation the home had before quoting the work. I called the office to tell them they should honor the quote, and I was told by Amanda that the extra cost was "unavoidable". It was ABSOLUTELY AVOIDABLE had they quoted the job accurately! Not happy that I had to pay the added charge out of my pocket when I could have received the entire amount from the sellers. Beware of the extra charges from this company.

Post install, we were left with a radon tester and were told to give them a call if we experienced any issues (such as the system making a loud noise). They installed the system in our sump pump pit. After the installers left, our sump pump was not working and the pit was filling up with water. I reached out to Joe, our salesman and left messages for him. My husband called one of the installers and said the sump pump is not working and we are worried that our basement will flood. His response: Maybe you need a new sump pump! No offer to come and look at the installation! Finally my husband got a hold of someone the next day (Joe never did return my calls) and a different installer was sent out. Guess what? We did not need a new sump pump! The installers had the float stuck under the system and it was repaired. Second issue: We were left a second radon test to do after the installation. It was mailed in on August 6, 2025 and we never received the results of that second test. I called Protect Environmental on August 26 and was told that Joe would call me back. Guess what? Aaliyah made a consultation appointment for my home radon mitigation.
