    Broken during move / unloading

    DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY! John from dispatch: He called me the day before our move to go over all of our items. I had items in a Clutter Storage Unit which was measured at 291cf. I guess it helped that my items were measured by a professional storage unit since this moving company will LIE about how many cubic feet you are using and then charge you for an extra 400 cubic feet at $5.50 per cf. Do the math! We had a second pick up location at our townhouse. We were only moving furniture out of our Master bedroom, 10 boxes, 5 bins, a workout bench and an adult bike. All of this would have also totaled about 300cf. Day of the move: movers showed up at the townhouse after picked up my 291cf. from Clutter. Their moving truck was small. When they opened up the truck, 2/3 of the truck was full. No way would our items from the townhouse fit. We were in shock. Movers started arguing with us that the truck holds 900cf. and that our items from the storage unit were over 600cf. and this is why we had reached our 600cf and had to pay extra. What???? I have proof that my items equaled 291cf. They couldn't scam me. But Lalo from dispatch told me that I'm over my allocated space and they can't fit my items. Why would you show up in a truck too small to fit our items? How can you argue my stuff is over 600cf when I have proof that you're wrong! (see pics of full truck upon arrival at townhouse) Their blankets took up more space than my boxes. So the movers unloaded our items and left them at our townhouse. I like to note that in the process of loading and unloading they broke several of my items. (See pics attached) Additionally, the movers seemed like they were on some type of drug. We took a video and submitted it. John from dispatch requested a drug test the same day. Issue is: they took 1/2 of the moving cost deposit from California to Virginia of $1350 via Zelle. For the past two weeks I've been told to speak to Autumn, only person in charge of finance. I need a full refund. You show up in a truck too small, you overestimate my cubic feet when I have proof that you're wrong and then you disappear without a trace after taking my money and NOT COMPLETING MY CROSS COUNTRY MOVE? Who is the owner? Manager? Who is "Mr. S A" who is responding to all negative reviews here and seems to be so defensive? So many people are UNHAPPY and yet you are saying we are wrong and your company is right? Another moving company, BROOKLYN MOVERS, came out two days later. Highly recommended! They took all of our items for 600 cubic feet as I had estimated! We decided to add few more items and paid for an extra 100cf by CHOICE. So how much more proof does American Pacific need that your truck was too small and my items did not equal 900 cf as you were arguing. I provided Autumn and John and "info@americanpacifica.com" all the details and facts. I will take this to small claims court or join a class action lawsuit if I don't hear back from American Pacifica this week. You can't just take people's hard earned money without providing the service they paid for. Moving day: 1/13/22 It's 1/27 and still no resolution or follow up!

    Rate - ----no stars I wanted to wait to make a review, but my mother has gotten NOWHERE trying to appeal to the people at the company like Autumn... My 77year old widowed mother was moving from our home in Southern CA to Naples, Fl to live with my brother's family. My brother and mother contacted a Moving Broker who contracted her with this company American Pacific Transportation in Victorville CA. The day they were scheduled to come, no one came to pick up her boxes...we called and had to try scheduling another date for pickup. Pick up of her boxes was set for October 2019, when the 2 movers showed up, we were concerned. She had 59 various sized boxed marked and accounted for loaded into their moving Van to transport back to their warehouse in Victorville, CA. Per her contract and Moving price paid there was no room for her remaining 3 garment sized boxes. ( which we still need to ship to Florida) when we asked the mover he gave us an amount for the 3 remaining boxes, and he said just call the office and they will schedule another pickup, and he would "come back the next day and pick them up" when we called the office they informed us that NO they would honor the quote he gave us and would not be back to pick up the boxes. My mom's 59 boxes were taken, she and my brother drove out a week later. The moving van finally arrived on 10/29! The driver was hard to deal with and he would not even back into the driveway for my brother to unload the boxes near the garage, he wanted more money $$ to back up to the garage!! The driver delivered 39 out of 59 boxes, my mother is STILL missing 20 of her boxes!!! She has photos of the boxes that arrived, most were upside down and damaged!!! The driver delivered her furniture UPSIDE DOWN!! My mother is missing unreplaceable items from my Late father and so many photo albums of her life that cannot be replaced. The office said that the delivery driver said my mother received all her boxes, which was a LIE! My mom has called the office numerous times and NO one, especially Autumn will help her, Autumn told my mother she was not too concerned with her missing boxes and damaged items since she didn't call soon enough!!! I have called the office and spoken to Eli and he assured me Autumn would call me back, No call... SUCH A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE FOR A 77 year old woman who did not want to move in the 1st place, but to have her beloved belongings STOLEN AND BROKEN AND DAMAGED with no regard from the moving company is DEPLORABLE!!! SHAME ! SHAME ! SHAME! on this company for taking advantage of Elderly People! MORE Photos of damaged boxes and belongings will be uploaded soon.

    I moved from California to Texas.. at first they sweat talk about their wonderful service and how they they take care of your stuff with care. Well that was not my case at all. They said that everything they wrap they are responsible.. all my pictures frame where broken. My bookshelf was completely destroyed. I submitted the pictures and stuff and ever since no one has even bother call and I've been calling and no answer.. i really regret on getting this service. Not professional in anyway. Spoke with mike said he will take care of the matter. That was on 4/2019.. it's been 2 months already and no call from them

    Broken TV after plugging in about 10 min it shut off and would not come back on but lost the top of TV and the lines through out.

    No sir I do not curse anyone out unless brought to that point and that I was. You broke my TV. And I was never offered a refund due to the fact they came out and my items would take up more room. If o was not going to lose 300 dollars yes I wanted to cancel that option was not given to me at all through out any conversation. The so called contract wasn scribbled over and never given to me by your drivers maybe you need to speak with them I told Eli from the get go my budget so again I would not agree to 2700 dollars and that is where my frustration came from. Yeah and then pack 2 flat screens in 1 box no cushion and pay 41 bucks serious. So that is why my review stands yes you let me pay my original agreed price but after stress mind the many mounts of lies so I know what I was told and your company lied and were rude and did not research with your drivers on what was told to us upon picking up our item I know next time to drive myself

    do. not. use. this. company. for. any. reason. They are worthless and total scammers. You will end up paying SO much more than quoted. The most stressful and unprofessional company I've ever worked with. They are not helpful at all and never give you a straight answer. Also, they were almost 3 weeks late delivering items. When they DID come, they sent a picture of a sign on a bridge nearby saying the truck was too heavy to make it and would need an additional $800 in CASH to shuttle the items. HOWEVER, there are MULTIPLE routes to get to my house that do not require crossing this bridge. Autumn was supposed to "map out other routes" and call me yet NO PHONE CALL. Shocker. Upon arrival, more than half of our pieces of furniture were damaged. My dresser is missing drawers and looks like someone took a hammer and just beat the hell out of it. It was wrapped TIGHT yet still am missing legs on most of my end tables and dressers. It's as if they went OUT OF THEIR WAY to damage our things. There is no way that this many items should be damaged. My leather chair has tear marks. My couch has STAINS on it. I understand a few things here and there during a move but after spending almost 10k on this move, I now have to go and buy new pieces of furniture because these can't be repaired. The driver also refused to go through the inventory list with me when he arrived. He said that he made sure all of my things were on there and he didn't have time to go through the item list. THIS. PLACE. IS. TERRIBLE!!! I would bet money that the 4/5 star reviews are fake. They also use AMERICAN PACIFIC as their name yet there is another American Pacific that is ACTUALLY a Better Business Bureau accredited business. This one is not and it has a C+ rating. They know what they are doing to get customers and then treat their customers like shit. Seriously, I should have just sold all of my belongings and bought new stuff. It would have been cheaper!!!!!!!!! **These are just a FEW of the MANY photos of damaged items. The dresser arrived WITHOUT DRAWERS. Why was it even unwrapped??? 4 dining room chairs arrived..... only 1 was wrapped. A $5000 leather trunk came UNWRAPPED and scratched when I sat and watched it being wrapped when it left my house.

    I never received the refund, and I have left dozens of voicemails and emails requesting it in the intervening 7 months.

    BEWARE‼ DO NOT USE THIS MOVNG COMPANY…read more I was in contact with Ibrahim, the owner. He sounds nice, but don't be fooled. He is far from honest. He sent two inexperienced workers to help move my furniture. I have expensive furniture they completely damaged due to their carelessness and negligence (see attached pictures). They also did not hook up my washer and dryer properly. The gas nozzle that connects to the dryer was not tightened and caused a gas leak. Leading me to call the fire department to help assist me considering I have a small baby in my household. The water pipes connecting to the washer were not properly tightened as well, as when I turned the water on to use my washer water was sprayed all over my wash room. To add even more insult to injury I expressed my concerns to Ibrahim about the lack of experience his workers had in removing my door off the hinges to which he said was an "easy job" but when it came time to install the door back in place they were not able to do so. In addition, they do not have their own moving truck. They rent from U-Haul (undisclosed at the time I booked their services). They charge for the truck rental and per hour. What was supposed to be a 3 to possibly 4 hour job turned into an absolute nightmare ending in a 9 hour job. The movers got to my house without any wrap for my furniture. I had to ask them to buy wrap. The wrap they purchased was the cheapest wrap providing no protection for my furniture. They also did not have enough moving blankets to protect my big items from getting damaged in transit. I was in contact with Ibrahim from the beginning. I expressed my concerns to him and he kept assuring me they would take care of moving my furniture safely. That never happened. The movers arrived at 2 pm and did not finish the job until close to midnight. After telling Ibrahim of all the damages he said he would pay to get them repaired. He lied. The next day I called numerous times, also texted and he never responded. Days later, he still hasn't responded. Please think twice before using them to help you move. Response to owner (considering I've been blocked from adding another comment): Christina, Ibrahim Dababneh goes by Abe and is your husband. I Zelle'd him the deposit for this move. He's also on social media reflecting his full name and company name (see attached pictures). I did not get the wrong company. It is obvious your company does not want to take responsibility for the damages. Raul was one of the movers he sent to me along with Aaron. Raul is also mentioned in some of the reviews on yelp. It doesn't surprise me that you would lie and act like you did not work with me. It is a shame that you would use God's name in your response. Shame on you and your company. The company does not live up to its name. I would also like a refund for the deposit of $125.00. Please google this company. They are also on U-Hauls website as a listed moving company. Beware of this company they are liars and unethical.
