The team were also happy to accommodate a trip to a storage unit, and the methodical organizing meant I didn't have to upgrade to a larger one, because I definitely couldn't have packed it so well myself! The team dissembled and reassembled all furniture including a baby crib that's been an absolute pain to do in so in the past. We are so glad we used these guys to move us, it was so quick and easy!

They left several items, boxes, etc, due to a smaller sized truck they rented from u haul. I had explained to the owner Jack that I wanted my hanging clothes transported and they left all of our clothing. The only thing Jack offered to do was to have his sister prepare the clothing for transport! Never did he say I will pick it up and bring it to you, which was part of the original plan we had previously discussed. My husband had to then travel back to Victorville (over 80 miles going and coming) the next day to pick up the remaining items and rent a hitch (pay extra money) to get the remaining clothing etc. I do not think this is a reputable moving company, they do not seem very professional. One of the movers smoked and smelled of marijuana.

We just had Athena's Movers help us out today in Crestline and have absolutely no complains(the…read morehighest compliment there is.) They gave me a call roughly an hour before they came so we could prep for them and didn't complain at all when they couldn't get their truck up our steep driveway(not their fault, it's a VERY steep driveway and a VERY big truck). They were quick, prompt, professional, and very friendly. They also were quick to adapt when there was a last minute change in where we were going to meet and were easy to communicate with both via yelp and phone. 10/10, would and will be using these guys again in the future and would recommend them to anyone looking for movers; especially up here on the mountain.

I chose Athena's based on reviews. I've learned quite a few costly mistakes which I need to share…read more Knowing I have to close escrow and vacate my property by 8/15, I was assured by Peter (owner, senior level point of contact), not to worry. Based on reviews, I trusted. Initially, movers were to be there between 12:00pm and 12:30pm. Once they were late I called and was told that they got tied up on the move before mine and were running late. Ok. Things happen and that's reasonable. But was still assured not to worry. They eventually arrived at 8PM. Now I was worried. Towards the end of loading (which I and my son helped with, even though we were paying for it), I was told that they could hold my stuff overnight and deliver first thing in the morning since it was already 10:45PM. I knew I should've trusted my gut. All in all, I was quoted initially $1,000 and ended up paying just shy of $2,000 (including tips for the movers who were very good) Not vacating the property cost me another $500 because my escrow contract dictated a $500 penalty per day. Peter assured me not to worry. Two dining room chairs were broken by one of the movers. That's ok, these things happen especially during a household move. My calls and voicemails to Peter were never returned on how I can file a claim. Well, I guess I have to eat that cost as well. Lessons for others: 1) Don't accept or agree to an afternoon move. Try for a morning one. So in case you want your washer and dryer hooked up, fridges, etc. All these ancillary items will push back the afternoon appointments. 2) Understand the difference between binding and non-binding estimates. 3) Review the option for insurance and also consider third party insurance The good part about this were the actual movers. These guys all hustled. Carlos (seemed to be the supervisor of the other 3 guys) was awesome. Nothing but kudos to the guys that did the actual heavy lifting and moving.

American Pacific - Ford mansion

I used American Pacific for my move from Southern California to Southern Oregon in January 2020. I…read moreoriginally contacted Eli a few months prior to get a quote and gather information which would make my move as easy as possible for all parties concerned. Mike came to my house and evaluated what I had and went over the options available for the move. I had a very large executive desk which would have to be taken apart to be moved. Mike assured me that it would not be a problem disassembling the desk and then re-assembling it at the new location. I also wanted a dedicated truck for pick-up and delivery, as I did not want my belongings transported with other loads nor did I want them to be shipped in a tractor/trailer and then transferred to a 'shuttle' for final delivery. As I had a 3 bedroom home my belongings would easily fill a 27 foot truck. Although I was informed that this would be a more expensive way to go, I wanted this option. I kept in touch with Eli over the following weeks and continued to get bids from other companies. In the end I choose American Pacific even though they were not the lowest bid I had received. I felt that both Eli and Mike were sincere in their desire to do whatever they could to meet the needs I had and to make the move as easy and as painless as possible. In mid-December I made the arrangements to have American Pacific do my move in mid-January and kept in touch with Eli over the next few weeks. My only slightly negative comment would be that it was sometimes difficult to directly contact anyone at the office during late December and early January. Calls went to voice mail and sometimes were not returned for a day or two. It was the holidays and as I learned later the staff had been given extended time off during that period so calls were not returned within a reasonable time after being received. But, that was a minor problem and taken care of as time went on. On packing day Lalo, Ed and Bobby showed up and went to work. Lalo was a 'packing machine'. I was just amazed at how quickly and efficiently he could pack anything from fragile objects to the most durable items, quickly and well padded. Autumn also came to the house on packing day and went over the final documents and schedules. She was also very helpful in coordinating the packers, loaders, pick-up and delivery schedules. One the second day Ed and Felipe showed up to finish the packing and do the loading. Mike also came out and as he had promised got the executive desk disassembled and wrapped for packing. I had asked that Ed accompany Felipe to Oregon to unload and that request approved. The truck was loaded and locked and parked in the American Pacific yard for a few days until I could get to Oregon. Felipe and I stayed in touch by phone during this time. Five days later my household goods were deliver on the agreed upon date. All in all a very efficient and professional job. My thanks to Eli, Mike, Autumn, Eduardo, Lalo, Bobby and Felipe for your hard work, dedication and professionalism. You made an event that is usually difficult and stressful much easier to get through. I would highly recommend American Pacific and their dedicated staff for your next move.

They said we had to go through their bogus (third party claim company) insurance company to get reimbursed for the damaged and ruined items. Tried several times on the insurance website and was told that they never received our claim (no live person to talk to everything must be done by email or online and there is no chat feature). American Pacific Transportation knew first hand about the damages they had done and would not make it right. They said they were veteran owned and operated. The guys that they had emptying the truck said they were picked up from Home Depot. (Nothing against day laborers, just they said they were not veterans) I would avoid this company. We paid a lot of money to be treated disrespectfully and have our items ruined.
