Horrible service! Had a nail powder gel manicure, was cut 3 times with no apology. Nails look like horrible- chunks of powder not smooth at all. Will Never return or recommend!!! Thank you for the offer to come back to fix my nails, but unfortunately I will not waste my time coming back!! Things should of been done the right way. I was rushed in and rushed out. Being cut with the drill 3 different times had never happened to me before. I'm a pretty reasonable person and I know mistakes happen. I would of appreciated an apology for my 3 bleeding cuticles. My friend and I went to American Nails and wheb we went in we asked how much it would be,they told us that our toes would be $35 with the shalauq nail polish and the regular service. Once we got done they charged us an extra $15 and said they didn't say that. Plus an extra $5 for doing only the tips which they also didn't say. I don't do acrylic nails but do have the powder overlay on my own nails and I rarely have a problem with them coming off. When they do it usually because i have waited too long to have them re-done (5-6 weeks) I drive from Brighton and there are many places I could go that is closer but it is worth the drive to be happy. read more

Went in on J4 and the salon was understaffed but the ladies did a great job servicing us. My friends and I went in for mani-pedis and we were seated and taken care of. We got the deluxe pedicure and it was awesome. I definitely recommend it for anyone whose feet need help. Mine definitely did. My friend couldn't decide between a full set or regular polish and she kept changing her mind about the colors and since she had a specific color scheme in mind, the ladies were very patient and suggested colors that she would like. I'm so sad to give a bad review because Kathy has been doing my nails since I was 6 years old. If I could give the girl who did my toes a 5 I would, but I great experience turned into a bad day real quick. I came to treat myself with a pedicure and eyebrow wax. I've been growing my eyebrows out for over a year to try to get them nice and full finally. I have tattooed ombré brows under my actual eyebrow hair to darken their appearance. Unfortunately, Kathy overbooked and was in a rush and rushed my eyebrows so fast (I've never gotten my eyebrows done that quickly) and she didn't realize she waxed pretty much my entire mid area of my eyebrow completely off. She may not have noticed cause the tattoo underneath mimicked eyebrow hairs but if she had taken her time, she most definitely would've known because this is not the first time she's done them :( It's going to take me a long time to grow my eyebrow out again and probably another $250 to get my ombré eyebrows touched up until it does grow back so it's not so noticeable. Not to mention, when I was telling her what she did, they still tried to charge me full price including for the eyebrows and all I got was her shooshing me so nobody else heard what she did. It wasn't the other girls fault so I paid for my toes but that whole situation left a bad taste in my mouth :( Sorry American nails, rushing my $12 eyebrow wax to rush back to finish a set of $60 nails is now going to cost me another $250 so I'm not walking around with uneven eyebrows. I always go to a different place, but this one is close to work. Well I won't be coming back. I do the shellac pedicure all of the time, and now that I did it here the shellac came off on 4 of my toe nails the next day. I asked maybe is the product can we change it and they were trying to charge me $12 dls. The service is good, and they are nice people but it's a waste of time and money. I've been coming here for about 3-4 months, getting the Gel-Dipped Nail Service... they remember me & recognize all their clients pretty good... they try to get you with last tech every time. I had the same nail tech, (about 8 out of 10 times). She was nice, smiled a lot, I was charged the same amount with her every time I saw her. A little rough & rushed, (but I didn't want to be a sissy, so I endured the procedure), never wiped my nails clean, didn't clean under my nails, & always filed at least 1 of my nails till it burned... The others ladies... did the same, just rushing through not doing anything special, or extra. I had my old nails, removed with an Acrylic Nail tip. The last time I went, I was done so quickly, I knew it was gonna suck! Different nail lady put on so much gel & dip that my nails were thick & felt deformed. One came off the very next day... I was charged $5 more for a quick, sloppy, uneven gob of goo on the end of my fingers & I tipped the lady! As I was sitting, getting my nails done, all the ladies were speaking Vietnamese to each other... I got the feeling that they were all saying nit so nice things about me! I love going here. The place is always clean and my nail tech, Aaron, is the best in the business. I do however wish they would get some basic cable for the TV. Tried watching about the incoming storm today and all the TV did was freeze on a pixelated screen . It's been that way for a long time but today I was especially interested in catching news of the storm. I went in for a dip mani. The nail tech was rushed, she only did two layers of dip total. The color is splotchy, the finish is scratched and incomplete, the side of my nails are incredibly rigid with no color at all, and the dip is super thin. When I went to pay the tech was incredibly rude when I told her I was paying with card. When I got to the counter they then decided to tell me their card machine was down and forced me to get a Venmo account to pay them. There were no signs anywhere that said the machine was down and they waited until the end to tell me. Apparently the machine was down all day to. I walked in asked for a deluxe manicure and a dip on my natural nails. I understand how dipping works. The girl asked which length of my natural nail did I want them evened out to, I showed her the shortest of my natural nails and said no shorter. On 7 out 10 nails she cut and filed down to the skin. One of the worst manicures I have ever had done. I wanted a simple shellac manicure after having acrylics on my nails. First the lady that did my nails she kept trying to take my acrylic nails off with a sharp blank acrylic nail and she kept stabbing under my nails ripping up my real nail. She didn't push my cuticles back or anything! And after taking my acrylics off, she didn't shape my nail or cut them down to all the same size! Some of them are longer than others. Absolutely horrible! I paid 35$ for a crappy nail job I could've done better on my own. I also noticed the glue holding the gem up is turning yellow and my nails are already chipping after 2 days. I did not like the service here. I came for my first time because my usual nail place was closed and I needed them done. I showed the lady the picture of what I wanted and she said okay. And then she glued on the tips which were very rounded. I told her I did not like them curved and I like them straight. She then told me that they are curved because that's how my fingers are shaped? I have been getting my nails done for almost 6 years and I've never had a nail tech tell me my fingers are curved. Obviously the nail tips that she used were curved. She told me that I needed to tell her a lot sooner and it was too late. So I told her that she barely glued on the tips so how was I supposed to tell her sooner? She said she would fix it. I went here yesterday for powder pink and white nails. They were a fairly good price ($35) and they seated me within 10 minutes. My problem was this - I feel like it's quantity over quality there. I was with the woman up front who appears to be the manager. While doing my nails she did a bit of a sloppy job, she nicked my cuticles with her polisher/grinder tool, and talked on the phone half of the time. Even after nicking my cuticles twice, doing a sloppy job on my tips, and being rude, she didn't offer any discount or something customer service oriented. It was just like I'd been run through an assembly line and that was it. I will be getting my nails rebased and cleaned up at a different salon for now on. read more

Geez Louise there are so many nail salons to choose from up here in my neighborhood. When I'm feeling a little down or am extra tired, I treat myself to a pedicure. I've gone to many different salons up here in the Thornton area, but I tend to keep coming back to American Nail. Doesn't matter how busy they are, they will always get you in. I have found that their technicians really do treat each customer as their first - they never seem rushed, even at the end of the day. Look for coupons in that local neighborhood flyer to save a little. My only recommendation for this salon is that their polish selection is pretty dated - I'd love to see them invest in some of the newer shades of polish out there. Update ::: The very first time I went there I was satisfied. I had Lilly. She did a great job and even followed the design I brought in. I was super impressed. But this last time, I had just a change in color, I had someone else rebase them, and I have no idea what her name was, she made zero conversation. Didn't even clean the nail Polish that got on my fingers off. Charged me an extra $2 last minute because of the mattee coating. And left me in the nail dryer for a half hour while she was talking to her friends that were there. 2 of the nails don't even have a second coat of mattee on them. I came here to get a pedicure and my nails done. I first got my pedicure and it was a good experience until it came to getting my nails done. I showed them the first picture and they said that they couldn't do the flowers and that they couldn't do the nail with powder but they can definitely draw the shape so I told them that that was fine as long as it looked good. The lady got done shaping my nails and she started drawing the color on one of my pinky's and she took her time and kept clearing it when she didn't like it. When she got done with that pinky she started the other pinky, she gave up after 2 tries and said that it was too hard and when I asked if anyone else can do them she said no and that I need to pick a different design. I then showed her a the second picture thinking that a PROFESSIONAL can draw those flowers, she literally just put dots and called them flowers and I told her that I didn't like them bc they were nothing like the ones on the picture. She got mad and told me I was being too picky and that she didn't want to keep doing my nails. She was literally kicking me out and at the end I just just left with the ones on the last picture. I've been going to American Nails for 15+ years and always have loved it. Unfortunately for the last few weeks they switched nail glue to something called "1 second glue". Not only does it BURN like hell when they put it on, but the glue lasted one week and all my nails are popping off. So yes, they are busy! I went on Sunday and got there at the perfect time (no waiting). However, flood gates opened up and ladies were consistently rolling in. The girl that did my shellac mani and pedicure did a nice job. Friendly, spoke English and was personable. She was able to do exactly what I wanted to my nails and toes (the lines on my fingers aren't perfectly straight but you can't really tell unless you are looking for it). Slightly more expensive than other salons that I have visited however they do extra when it comes to their pedicure with wrapping legs in hot towels and rubbing your feet with hot stones in addition to the "lotion massage" you usually get.
