Here's a polished version that keeps your frustration clear while making it easier to read and more impactful: I will NEVER be back to this place! I've been a loyal customer for over 3 years, mainly seeing Kevin and Mimi because they're the only two who consistently do good nails. But after the FIFTH time of making an appointment just to get called the day before and told they're "too busy" and need to change my appointment time, I'm done. Today was the final straw. My mom and I both had appointments for rebases at 9:45 AM. Yesterday around 4:30 PM, they called saying both Kevin and Mimi were fully booked. We told them we'd just go somewhere else, and suddenly the owner panicked and said, "No, no, we'll get you in at 10:30." We show up, and the place is completely packed. My mom sits down with Kevin wanting a beautiful pink cat-eye nail set for spring, and instead leaves with the ugliest brown nails imaginable. Happy spring, I guess. When Mimi was finally ready for me, she had an attitude the entire time because she "had to come in early." Meanwhile, my mom was already finished before Mimi had even started painting my nails. My mom was so unhappy she paid and left immediately. At that point, I didn't even want to waste any more of my time, so I told Mimi to just put a top coat on my nails so I could leave as fast as possible. This place clearly only cares about how much money is coming through the door and could not care less about customer satisfaction or respecting people's time. I had gel/dip done at a different salon and just needed them removed after a month of wear. I didn't want to risk damaging my natural nails at home and thought I could trust a professional to handle it. Came here since it was close to home and they were able to seat me right away. The tech used a Dremel tool to sand off the polish, soaked my nails for 5 minutes and then used the Dremel to remove the rest of the way. I had no idea this should not be done. My nails are now so thin and frail that I have soft spots near my nail beds and the tips of my nails were tearing away - not breaking, but tearing like paper because they are so thin. Some spots are sore to touch. They are bumpy and the nails bend back very easily. I had to trim them as far back as I could to prevent further injury. This will take months to grow out before my nails are healthy again. I thought I was doing the right thing by trusting people who do this every day, but that was not the case here. read more

First impression, this salon is very well kept and has a great ambience. Unlike other salons, this place doesn't reek of nail polish and chemicals. I went in for a pedicure and was immensely greeted at the door and told to check-in. The process was super quick and hassle free. The nail tech was ready for me and got started right away. Really disappointed in my gel mainicure and pedicure from Royal. I visited about a week and a half ago, and already the gel is peeling up at the edges and a whole section of gel on one of my fingers has come off. In addition, the gel from my previous manicure was not entirely removed, and since it was darker than the color I chose this time, it showed through and made my nails look dirty. I was not asked what shape I wanted (I prefer almond) and frankly I'm not sure what I now have. The technician was nice and the salon was clean, but I was really disappointed with what I got. I'm having to make a last minute appointment to fix my hands before I leave for vacation, which was the whole reason I got them done, and now basically have to pay double. read more

My usual place down the street gets incredibly busy all hours of the day so on a recent weekend when I wanted to get a pedicure, I decided to try this new shop right down the road from my house. Immediately walking in the space is big bright and open. I was able to walk in without an appointment. I selected what I thought was a shellac color for my toes but evidently not. Onto the pedicure. The technician was super friendly and prompt. I was seated right away and the water was adjusted to be something the average human can withstand - in other words, she didn't leave it running on hot & walk away like so many other places do. However I'm not really sure what I paid for...let me explain. I went with the deep cleaning pedi, which was okay, but definitely not worth the extra $10 (total $40). The scrub she used was applied to my dry a** legs which honestly is what really brought it down to 1 star. When it came to scrubbing my feet, again, no lotion/ cream was applied & the scrubber was super dry. I ultimately left paying $66 ($40 pedi, $15 extra for shellac, $11 for tip) wondering what I actually paid for. read more

The salon is clean and cute, and with any salon I think the make or break is just finding the right person. But unfortunately my first experience at Royal was just like all my other nail experiences here in Colorado. Poor attention to detail. Expensive for what you actually get. $30 for a barely decent pedicure. She wasn't even looking at my feet when she was scrubbing my heels. Then I got a gel manicure and said to her that I have very oily nails and unless the gel is applied properly, it peels off in one whole sheet in 4 days. We'll here I am 4 days later writing this review with gel free fingernails. $45 down the drain. I will likely try this place again, and see if there's one person there who is a gem in the rough. But after that I likely won't return if the results are the same. read more

Y'all look at this. I never want to be rude and like up my technicians butt to ask for nice nails but come on now she kept asking me if I like them when obviously they're not acceptable. Cried in my car and went to get them taken off directly afterwards. Waste of my good money! She damaged my nail plate by drilling too hard, and her application of the powder was embarrassing to even watch. Do they even have licensed technicians anymore?? She was INCREDIBLY rude to me by shutting down any conversation and did not listen to my words. Had this happen at another place and left it for good. Really disappointed the same thing happened to us here. My daughter and I look very forward to our mom/daughter mani-pedies. We work long hard hours and are tired when we get them. I started getting the hard sell from the get go to get gel toes instead of regular polish. They last the same on me so the extra $15 is a complete waste for me. I finally agreed to it so she would stop badgering me. Unfortunately she kept hammering me to "chrome" my nails,($15) and a manicure which I said no to. She took much longer than my daughters appt and my daughter wasn't feeling well and I felt terrible making her wait. Our charges were way higher than we expected & it was bc they added manicures to both of us and WE DIDNT GET THEM DONE TO US. I hurried my daughter to the car and we went over the amount that night and the following day. We made the decision to never go back. Takeaway- apparently you have to shake them or yell, multiple times what you want, and KEEP TRACK of your services!! I would NOT recommend ANY upgrades, at all. Side note, last appointment I had two cuts on my feet and my daughter had a cut in almost every finger. I only had one small cut on my finger this time. I had to get out my own dremmel to get hardened product out from under some of my nails. P.S. I don't want to leave out the fact that my nails and toenails are beautiful. Went in for a dip manicure with tips and came out with crooked, chunky nails. Also the color was very shear and not opaque at all, could see where my natural nail ended and the tip started. Had to ask the tech to straighten the nails 3 times and the still turned out crooked and chunky. read more

I will try to frame this review as a compliment sandwich because the good parts should of course be highlighted. First, they were very accommodating in getting our party of three seated together (I had called to schedule a week in advance to be sure). I called the day before to enquire if there would be two manicurists able to do nail art during our appointment and was told there would be. My daughter had picked out a simple candy cane design she wanted us to get together, and we showed it to the two mani/pedi technicians that would be taking care of us when we arrived. My daughter's tech said no problem, and mine said she could do it but looked very hesitant. I assured her it was not necessary and we didn't have to do it if she didn't think she was able but she kept saying she could. Here is where I will leave another compliment: our pedicures were lovely. When it was time for the manicures my tech was very irritated with the design I wanted. I asked her if she was irritated, she said yes. I said we could cancel the art and do something simple, she said no. Long after my mom and daughter were finished (their nails looked beautiful) my tech was still going, scowling at me, saying things under her breath. After setting the gel, she filed so hard she cut two of my fingers, both of which are painfully infected. The design was cute but we could have done it at home. Again, I wish she would have just said it was out of her wheelhouse. I tipped her $50 because we were there until closing time and I could tell she was angry and I didn't want to be a Karen. My candy cane nails were thick and caught on sweaters and broke off within a week. My fingers hurt, and my nails are thin and broken. I wish she would have just said she couldn't do it. My mom's and daughter's nails remain lovely. Nice place for pedis, but not for communication when it comes to nail art. Also, you may want to ask them not to be heavy handed with the drill and file to avoid infection. read more

Got my nails had an appointment and still had to wait an hour before anyone would start on me. Lady with the half purple hair was super rude and aggressive left 3 times while in The middle of doing my nails and would go work on someone else while I sat there waiting 20 Minutes or more each time she left . I wanted almond shape but got an oval shape with big lumps as shown in the picture got charged 85 while my friend did the exact same Thing and paid 60. At least her nails Actually look decent . Had to wait for a windshield repair close by so I popped in here for a manicure. Soaked nails for maybe 5 minutes. Filed and cut cuticles. No cuticle remover or push back or cuticle oil after. Brief hand arm massage and then paint. In and out in 20 minutes. Tech talked to tech next to her the entire time. Polish lasted one day. There was no manicure involved in my $35 shellac manicure. Not even lotion. Just used a tool to take the polish off, that was unpleasant, leaving them weak and frail, and the shellac polish just chipped off once my weakened nails, and started breaking 2 days after leaving. They also charged my teen $53 for dip on natural nails, and we had to go get two of her nails redone at a different place a few days later. She also didn't receive any manicuring of her hands. read more

This was my first time visiting this salon and my experience was terrible. I came with my mom because she likes this one nail tech so I came with her. We were getting manicures and pedicures and my mom's water was very cold and her tech warmed it up no problem. My water was scalding hot and when I told my nail tech she let some water out and added some back in but it was just as hot...I asked her to add cooler water in at least five more times but the water temperature never changed. Finally the last time I asked her it was a tiny bit cooler so I just gave up and stuck my feet in. Whenever she would pull my feet out of the water my skin was extremely red due to the heat but she never adjusted the water again. Then when she was done with the pedicure and we moved onto the manicure she was pushing down way too hard with the drill and I would jerk my hand away from the pain but she would just get this annoyed look on her face and grab my hand and continue. This happened on all of my nails. Then when she was applying the dip powder she only applied the first coat on the top half of my nail (which I know is not normal because dip powder is what I usually get). Then for the next few layers she puts it on the whole nail like normal but obviously because of the first layer they're uneven. Then she finishes up the nail and files them but they're still ridiculously uneven and then she puts the cuticle oil on and starts picking my cuticles. She gets to the third finger and totally yanks off the dead cuticle and it starts bleeding. Then she moves on and finishes the rest of my cuticles. Then she pulls out some sort of small blue bottle and pours some unknown liquid onto a cotton ball and dabs it on my bleeding finger. I don't know what she thought it would do but my finger kept bleeding. She then said my nails were done so while I was waiting for my mom to finish up I walked out to my car to get a bandage and some ointment out of the first aid kit in my car. Then I came back in and sat next to my mom and her nail tech showed more concern for my finger than the lady who abused my fingers. Then my mom got done and we went to pay. I wish I knew the lady's name but she was older with a hearing aide. She should not be in this line of business...all of my fingers are extremely sore and I will never be coming back. One of the worst manicures I've ever had! sloppy, painful, she could barely get the shellac off of my nails and used rotary drill which went through my nail to the quick, very painful. Shaping is bad-every time I point out something I wanted done differently on the shaping, because she asked me, she would just start filing my nails thinner using a gritty nail file instead of changing the tip shape. Topped off with a crappy polish. Not good when my nails looked way better when I got there. read more

Fast service and a gorgeous shop. The first time Lisa did my nails and pedicure and the gel didn't chip or peel for weeks! I wore it to Hawaii and while managing a restaurant working kitchen shifts and it lasted forever.
