Applauze Salon - Hair a day after leaving salon - Hair Salons Near Me - Westminster, Colorado

Morgan gave me one of the best haircuts ever! I am late 50's with surprisingly curly hair. My hair has not always been this way! She did amazing! I literally said "I think I need some layers!" She delivered! Customer for life! read more

I arrived at exactly 2:45 the time my appointment was to start. After five minutes the stylist checked in with me to say, "I'll be with you in a minute." Fifteen minutes later she was still slowly working piece by tiny piece of her customer's hair with no end in sight. Although she apologized when I announced I could wait no longer, not a hint of explanation was given. Completely unprofessional to have so little regard for a customer's time. Also is it too much to set out something for customers to read since adhering to schedules is not in the cards? After a search I found a GQ by the shampoo stations, not of interest to this female. When you're that late you should at least provide an explanation or give a customer an update. Shame on Applauze. read more

I found Applauze Salon thru Yelp.com since I moved to the area this salon was super close! It had been a long time since I got my hair done and was in desperate need of a good new look. Applauze Salon - Hair Salons Near Me - Westminster, Colorado

I was in search of a new salon since moving to Colorado. Tried Alex at Applauze. I have blond hair that has been colored for over a year previously with beautiful results. I asked for the same as I currently had, just needed new foils and the growth colored. Alex foiled my hair and then put me under heat while she foiled another clients hair. The color turned out good. The highlights them self were a bit chunky and not blended evenly. Within the week I noticed my hair was very frizzy and dry. My hair continued to deteriorate in the next weeks despite my efforts to try to restore moisture. Eventually it stared breaking mid shaft. Was not at all pleased that they double booked clients on a color not knowing how long it would take. This appt was not cheap at all and now I'm left with damaged hair. read more

Alex is the absolute best! She does such an amazing job with my all-over blonde high-lights every single time! She trims my hair perfectly in long layers each time as well. She also does such an awesome job cutting my boyfriends hair! If you are looking for a new stylist, Alex is your girl! This salon is so cute, warm and inviting. Check out Alex and Applauze Salon. You will not be disappointed!! read more

Yesterday was my second visit to this Salon, and I am so happy that I found these ladies here on Yelp! It's a small family run business and turns out the stylist that I see, Alex, is actually the daughter of the owner! Literally everyone here is friendly and welcoming, and you definitely get a neighborhood style vibe from the moment you walk in. Additional perks are complimentary beverages; wine is always nice when you're getting pampered! I failed at taking pictures of my recent color, but Alex did a beautiful job at listening to my desire and making it happen! This is now my go-to salon, and anyone searching for a permanent new salon should totally give these ladies a try! read more

Applauze Salon - Always a wonderdul cut, and its nice to relax with a complimentary glass of wine! - Hair Salons Near Me - Westminster, Colorado

Virginia is the best! She has reasonable prices and really listens to her clients to give them that special hairstyle.

I would give Morgan a million stars if I could! Seriously, she gave me THE BEST balayage's ever, even correcting some highlights I had before. She knows what she's doing. Trust her with your hair! It will be in amazing hands! ‍ read more

My mom and I have been seeing Virginia for over 10 years and she never disappoints. She always knows exactly what to do with the color and the cut and I always walk out feeling amazing. If I could give her 20 stars I would! read more

I enjoyed the experience however it was not the hairstyle I wanted at all... I asked for balayage but the highlights were uneven and blotchy in spots. There were two thick spots where the highlights started toward my part and I thought balayage was a gradual fade a llower. I guess I should have showed a picture of what I wanted. read more

Morgan is INCREDIBLE! I am a very picky blonde with very long hair and she made the color exactly what I wanted. It is so well blended and compliments my natural blonde perfectly. Haircut was also exactly what I wanted without me ever having to chime in throughout the process. In and out in 2hrs and 15 minutes when it usually take 5.....to say she is a professional would be an understatement. Go here for your blonde needs! read more

I went here based on a recommendation and I would not recommend this place. I got a simple trip and layers. I was in and out in 25 minutes. This is the worst haircut I have ever had in my entire life. Terrible. Awful. I hate it. read more

After reading the reviews I was really excited about this place. But when I got to my appointment 5 mins late I thought my stylist would be tapping their foot at me (understandably). I then learned the person who I had an appointment with WASN'T EVEN THERE YET. For a noon appointment. I understand circumstances and don't mind waiting but the hospitality was so poor. I was left with "here's some magazines gonna go gossip loudly in the back." I left. Not worth it read more

I had my hair cut and highlighted several times by Virginia. While most of the time I left with my hair looking better than when I walked in, there are a couple of issues that just can't be overlooked. When your hair is freshly cut, there shouldn't be ANY split ends, right? After each cut I noticed that nearly every hair on my head had a split end. I typically wash & blow dry my hair only 2-3 times per week, so I'm fairly confident that I wasn't over working my hair, besides, it was just cut. When I asked her when was the last time she sharpened her scissors, she didn't have an answer. Also, expect that unless you have scheduled only a hair cut, another appointment will be performed while you are under the dryer for your color to process. More often than not, you will waiting for her to finish this other appointment so that she can continue on with your appointment. So at this point you've now waited on Virginia twice during your visit - once because she was already running late when you arrived, and again because she double books. Hey, I'm all for multi-tasking and maximizing your bang for the buck, but in her case it simply seems to mean that your time is less important than hers. On my final appointment with her which was for a full highlight service, I asked if I could change it to a partial because I just didn't want to sit in the chair for that long on that particular day. Her response was that she was happy to do partial or full highlights, but I would be paying for a full highlight service as that's what I had booked, what she had planned, and she charges by the hour, not the service. I sincerely hope that attitude works out for her, but it didn't work out with me. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention, it's the kind of business that takes only cash and checks. ;) read more

I am extremely picky with who touches my hair. In 2014 I came here to fix a bad coloring job on my hair and the man who fixed my hair did an amazing job. Recently came here to return my hair to its natural color. She Executed my demands perfectly. It is very natural and has the Jennifer Aniston look that I asked for. Plan to make this my regular salon. read more

Saw Tiffany... she was great. Very friendly and gave me just what I wanted with my hair. Completely recommend!

Rachel Hartley is amazing. I moved here six months ago and had to find a new stylist, she did an excellent job finding color that matched my skin tone and the cut is wonderful. Plus she offers "drive by" color touch ups for $25 in between your full colors, she also has a charming personality. I've definitely found my new go to girl. read more

I think I've finally found the haircut I was meant to have. I came in with a picture and was extremely nervous to cut so much off especially at a place I'd never been, but Christen reassured me it would look great and it did and still does. She styled it exactly how I wanted, paid attention to all the little details, like how I force my part to the side and not the middle, and made it look easy. I've never been able to replicate the fresh out of the salon look, but so far this cut looks great any way I wear it. I definitely recommend this salon and the owner, Christen! read more

The salon booked an appt for me in the wrong month. When I received the email confirmation with the error I called, explained and rescheduled for the correct month and date. Sure enough, a month later I got an appt. reminder text for the appt scheduled they'd scheduled incorrectly so I called and left a message at the salon reminding them that the appt should have already been cancelled, this was their error. I was never contacted by Christen or anyone from the salon but Christen did send me a $50 invoice the day before the appt. Needless to say, I'm done with Applauze Salon. I moved here from California and had no hair stylist. After searching google and yelp, I came across APPLAUZE Salon. I'm so happy that I made an appointment here!!! Wow blown away by the service at this salon. It is so hard to find a salon that allows you to feel comfortable, unjudged, and relaxed all at once. My stylist, Alex, was so great! Finding a stylist that is honest and genuine has helped my confidence go up so much. I LOVE hair days knowing I will leave fully relaxed and loving my hair. read more

I would give no stars. I received the worst haircut from Morgan yesterday. Being new to the salon I explain I have baby fine hair, it's short. I've been growing it out since February 28 because another person cut it too short. I just want my hair shaped. I show pictures of women with short hair but long layers. Morgan chopped my hair less than two inches from my scalp, this is in the back of my head, I can see my scalp completely. There is no way, no hair, to cover my scalp. There is no way to style this short of hair, I will have to cover with a hat or scarf. Terrible. read more

This salon definitely lives up to the hype. I was looking for a change but was apprehensive about where I should go. I had an appointment with Tiffany and am so glad I did! The place itself is nothing special, but I was treated extremely professionally. She inquired what I wanted and I showed her some pictures. And in under one hour, my cut was exactly what I wanted! I was cutting about 4 inches off my length, so she went slow without my even asking her. She was very easy to talk to. I am so happy with the turnout! I will definitely be back! read more

Applauze Salon's owner/stylist Christen Seipp has been cutting and highlighting my hair for several years. There are no detailed descriptions of experience levels blazing the walls at each work station in this salon - however, rest assured, Christen is an advanced level hair stylist. Christen is an attuned listener and has an incredible talent for envisioning the finished process. We start each appointment with a brief consultation. I toss out ideas/get her advice before the color is mixed or the scissors appear. She is innovative, confident and enthusiastic about hair. She has often recommended and encouraged stylish tweaks for my hairstyle. I trust her recommendations because I'm consistently pleased with the results. Christen is an artistic, passionate veteran in her field with an adorable personality to complete the package. She deeply cares about her clients, team and salon - a rarity in many service-oriented businesses today. Applauze Salon is conveniently located in Westminster - parking is never an issue. Starting quotes for services are listed on their website. read more

Was able to get in on short notice on a Saturday which I was pretty stoked about. Moving here from California I was hesitant to trust someone else with my color and cut. I went here for a consultation with Morgan and I was told that I should have chosen a different stylist to consult with and that I should have looked at their Instagram posts before coming (even though 65% of the pictures on their Instagram is Morgan's work). As much as I hate to write a fabulous review for Rachel (and risk everyone else finding out about the phenomenal woman who makes my hair look gorgeous) I'm afraid I'm just gonna have to. Rachel is AMAZING! I absolutely love a stylist who can take charge and make my hair look way more amazing than I ever thought it could be. For that... I am grateful for Rachel because she can make me feel beautiful even if I... myself... don't. Oh! And I forgot to mention that she can make oblivious men notice hair! After 7 years together, not once has my boyfriend noticed when I've cut/colored my hair. But when Rachel sparkles her magic... he's mentioned each and every time that he likes my hair. So I'm assuming she must have made her magic work and she's managed to make me look good. ;) She's "above" phenomenal... she's "Rachel." I am just leaving Applauze Salon and I am extremely happy with my haircut and style! I tried this salon after checking their reviews. Everyone was right. Morgan was my stylist. I found this salon on Yelp because I have been searching for a place closer to my house. Overall, I was looking for a stylist would could make my blonde hair look great and stay that way because I have an infant and no long have the time/energy/money to be visiting the salon every 6 weeks religiously. After looking at pictures on Yelp and Instagram, I booked with Morgan to get baylage highlights and so far I love how my hair turned out! At my appointment, I had the baylage highlights, a haircut and my eyebrows waxed and was in and out of the salon in less than two hours which I love! She is clearly very knowledgable and talented at what she does. They have an online booking service which is incredibly easy to use and I was able to book my appointment within a week. I'm terrible at planning ahead so being able to book a color appointment on a whim is something I need! The pricing is definitely reasonable. I've paid far more money for a result that couldn't even compare to this. As far as the salon goes, it's a very unassuming and low key environment. It would be easy to miss when driving by and the inside isn't flashy at all. But it's tastefully decorated and everyone is incredibly nice. The only other thing I could think to request is a mimosa while getting my hair done ! Overall, I would have to say that this is where I will be getting my hair done in this future! read more

This was the first place that I did not feel tense and nervous while getting my hair done. My hair never comes out the way I want it to and I got exactly what I wanted from Applauze! I will definitely be returning to see Morgan for future appointments! read more

I absolutely love coming to Applauze salon, I get my hair done by Alex. Everyone of their staff is so friendly, and the salon is so clean and organized. I'm not a fan of L'Oréal products because they test on animals, but the detangler that Alex thought that I should get for my hair works!! I already went through 2 bottles of this stuff. I definitely recommend this place! read more

I have been going to Virgina for 15 years and love what she does for my hair. I walk out of the salon and feel like a milllion bucks! I have thick coarse hair which sometimes is difficult to style. My mother, grandmother and myself all get our hair done by Tori. Three generations with very different styles and we all always leave happy with our hair. I had my haircut by Morgan since she had so many outstanding reviews. However, I didn't think it was very good. The left side was longer than the right and my bangs were cut at least 3 inches shorter than the picture I showed her of the style I wanted. The layers were nice otherwise, but I wouldn't go back. There was also a lot of hair on the floor from previous clients. It only takes a second to sweep. read more
