march 28, 2026 -- buyer beware!!! alpine heat pumps does not stand behind the products they sell…read more 18 months after purchase, major components failure of the compressor and inverter pcb board. best they could do was, we could get out there in maybe 2 weeks, why don't you try calling.....maybe they can help. alpine's representative had the nerve after it was diagnosed by another company as a known c464 failure problem with samsung to say, "well every now and then you get a bad one, but the parts are covered!" 18 months and a major failure, and we're supposed to come up with another $1,500 to $2,000 for labor and freon. so, they don't service what they sell, moreover, don't stand behind the product they recommended. not to mention that as part of mass save had to have our furnace disconnected and we are stll without heat (april 7) in half the house...tonights low expected to be 25 degrees! going on a week and half of 50% heat, not expected to maybe be repaired on the 14th. they were responsive in taking my $28,000 for the system, and now they will not respond! poor customer service! they take your money and move on! shop elsewhere, and go with company that actually services what they sell and stands behind the products they sell. oh, and they no longer sell samsung....no suprise. only 1 star, because can't give zero.

Additionally Jason(Alpine) charged me for four(4) mini-splits and I only recieved three(3) and one(1) condenser. Jason came to my home and I complained to him about mini-splits turn on in the off position. He(jason) stated he would put in a work request ASAP. A week ago, Paylessforoil.com made a delivery at my house and damaged the hose bib which is located right next to my oil fill pipe. This caused water to gush from the broken pipe outside my house and flow down into my basement, causing a pretty significant flood with ankle deep water in parts of the basement. We have tons of things that were damaged by the water and Lisa has been cleaning stuff out of the basement since so we can throw it away. Hopefully our washer and dryer are ok as it's hard to tell if anything was wet and may cause issues down the road. I've been trying to work with them for a week, but have had little success in talking to anyone other than the receptionist and office manager. I keep being told that the photos and video we sent (of the driver's hose getting snagged on something and then he pulls on it) were forwarded to "management" but whomever they are cannot be bother to call me, I guess. We've been a customer of Paylessforoil.com for 13 years and this is how they are treating us. Only after threatening a small claims suit did the president of the company get back to me. Sent an email, couldn't be bother to call. He essentially told me to pound sand and terminated our account. All of this could have likely been resolved with a simple phone call.

I knew of his reputation from a heating help board I had been on in the past and knew he was the guy I wanted for my install. When Gary says he'll be there at 7am you better believe him. He showed up on time and went right to work. His lead plumber came shortly after and drove what I'd call a mobile plumbing shop. These guys don't mess around, they had every tool and fitting imaginable and I couldn't have been more impressed, except for the fact they were heads down all business the whole time they were here. Gary was here from 7am to 6:30pm and spent the time to make sure everything was perfect and that I knew all of the features available before he left. The quality of the work was beyond impressive and we couldn't be happier! Btw, the boiler is a Viessmann and it's awesome, I can monitor it from my phone and on a recent trip I was able to lower the domestic hot water while we were away which saved us gas.

We left for the night and called Baystate Comfort this morning (between 7am- 8am). James was at our home between 8:30-9am!! He was able to repair the issue, but warned us that our furnace is on borrowed time. He was very knowledgeable while explaining the process of a replacement and how it would benefit our home. He also was patient answering all of our questions about other options (routine maintenance, duct tape, prayers, etc :). In the end, he will be sending us a quote for a new furnace and hot water heater in one system, and we are working on setting up a game to pay for it. I have their service plan, and for a reasonable price they come out and take care of the HVAC components on a regular basis. The technicians have always been straightforward with me, and I've had zero problems with everything except a whole-house humidifier, which needed to be replaced and re-routing of the drain hose, and they stuck with the problem until it was taken care of. They've always been responsive, and have a collection of great techs who are polite, respectful of property, and friendly. I would recommend them for sure.

The owner loaned to me a space heater until the job was complete. I only have one request from the company to use drop cloths as not to make a mess on their future projects. The owner, Chris was in touch with me from beginning to end of the project. I appreciated that very much. The two technicians that came over to the house were very polite and helpful.
