This review will also cover their MSF riders course. The teacher was awesome! Very cool guy and made things easy to understand. Even more important he made things laid back and not stressful. When you messed up he told you what you did wrong and you worked on it again. No pressure, i really enjoyed the class. The problem with the class was Harley Davidson made him push their product sooooo much! The two day class could have been only one day, but they shoved so much harley crap in your face every chance they got. So because of that I have to give the class 3 out of 5 stars. Now on to the actual dealership. Staff very friendly and they knew their products back and forth! Here is where the problem comes in though. I was looking to buy a buell 12XB from them. They did not have one for sale and i asked if they could check other dealerships. They told me no and then pushed me to look at some of the cruisers they had. I kept explaining i was looking for a buell only. Once they figured out i only wanted a buell the customer service just stopped. They have cared less about helping me find one. I finally found on the internet the shops that still had a few in stock, but once again due to people not calling me back i went out that day and bought a yamaha r6.(much much happier i did due to the style of riding i do). Harley Davidson is in the business to sell motorcycles and they could have cared less about selling me one. Not happy at all with this dealership! Another example of a Harley dealership that doesn't know how to hire an apparel manager. The T-shirt selection sucked. I believe they had a design contest amongst the local kindergartners. I can't figure out why apparel managers don't order more XXLs, they are easily the most common size T-shirt and there might have been two of them in the whole store. I've always been well taken care of here. Just traded for another Harley Softail. Ask for Daniel or Chris if you are looking to buy something. I looked at the other reviews for this store and I have to tell you that I haven't really had a bad experience here. I've purchased a Harley from most of the stores in this area at least one time. This store has new ownership and I think that if you've not been happy in the past, give it a second chance. Everyone is always smiling and offering to help every time I visit. It doesn't matter if it's me or my wife, we both get asked every time we enter if we need help. So, if you are a woman looking for a Harley, try this place and ask for Daniel or Chris in Sales and if you need service, the guys and gals who work there are very professional. Daniel (service manager) is awesome. Had an issue with the Softail I just bought and he took care of everything, at no charge to me. They accept responsibility if is theirs, and will often offer to share the cost if it's a mix. I'll be back here next time I'm ready to trade again, as I really like the people that work here. This dealership DOES NOT stand behind the work it performs. My Harley, which I purchased brand new, had a transmission failure at only 14,700 miles. This dealership had serviced the bike since new. I brought it to them when I suspected a problem and I was told the transmission needed to be rebuilt. I paid a tidy sum and had the work done. I rode very few miles in the years following due to health problems. The transmission failed again with only 3800 miles on rebuild! I presented the issue to GM Bryan Tynes seeking a fair resolution. I was told the dealer was not responsible and would do nothing to correct their faulty work. He used the cowardly excuse that it was due to 8 years passing. Passage of time does not cause a transmission to fail. Shame on this dealership and GM for not standing behind an expensive rebuild! He was very generous in that he offered to sell me a new for $$$$$. Do yourself a favor and don't do business with this dealership! read more

4 minutes ago After a month of owing my 2020 Road Glide with a 131 motor upgrade that I traveled 300 miles one way to buy, its in the shop with blown head gaskets which i found out today is from the head bolts not being torque down properly. This has been an experience i will never forget to say the least. When I purchased my bike I asked many questions one of which was "was the bike dyno tuned"? I was told yes. After about a week of owning the bike I called to get my dyno sheet and was told that the machine was down and (this was a Monday) and they would get back with me Thursday. After no one called me back I called to find out the computer had to be replaced so they could not pull a copy of them. A couple of hours later I called back hoping that maybe there a copy in my finance paperwork and was told that they would check and call me back. Surprise, surprise no call back. When my bike blew the head gasket the my Harley dealer asked if I had the dyno results from when the bike was built. I didnt but I called AEHD and to my surprise the gentleman that answered the phone remembered me calling for my paperwork but the had not received their old dyno computer back yet. I was also told that because my bike was new they would not have put this bike on the dyno, so why was I told it was a dynoed bike? After a day of back and forth with the service manager I called around to multiple HD dealers and spoke with the service managers of each and 3 out of the 4 I spoke with sad they would never build a 131 without putting it on the dyno. Finally my salesman called to what I can only guess was to ensure me that I would not be out of pocket for the cost of the repairs because "that is why there are warranties" thank you for that! I few hours later I was called back by AEHD and informed that they called my dealership and that they agreed with AEHD there was no reason to ever dyno a new bike. (After this phone call I went up to my dealership and was assured that none of the 3 service techs spoke to AEHD), but during that call the gentleman I spoke with offered to either pay half the cost to dyno the bike or installation of the advance tuner. I asked if I could think it over and after about an hour called back. I asked that they pay half the cost of the tuner so that I did not have to drive down 5 hours one way to drop off the bike and again to pick up the bike and I would pay to have my dealer install it. I was told that he would speak to the person that could make that decision and call me back tonight( a Friday) or the next day(Saturday). After no call back yet again I called Monday morning and was told they got busy but he would be in in 20 minutes and would have the answer and give me a call back...........7 hours later I am still waiting on a call back. If you want a bike AEHD has plenty if you want a dealership that stands behind their word well maybe another place might be better. The people there are friendy but integrity is what really matters when building lasting customers. read more

Drove out of my way an hour each way to get it... as they were the only local place claiming to have it. Showed up, and low-and-behold... wrong part. Went in with a friend to look at used ultra limited's. Met Wiqed who was a blast to work with. I came on a Saturday and they were having an amazing party for Father's Day. I had a trade in I got screwed on by non HD dealership so I knew I had some cash to come out with. Between Wiqed and Brandon in finance, they were both awesome. It's my first Harley so I was out of my element and by the end of the day, I was part of the family. They found a recall on my clutch they needed to take care of before I left and for my inconvenience they went ahead and gave me a free 5K service. Where do I start..... A week ago on Saturday, I stopped in at American Eagle HD at around 5:40 PM. Now mind you, they close at 6:00 and over 3/4 of the bikes are now put away and they are closing! After leaving another dealer in Carrollton completely pissed off and disgusted, I walked in to AE not even knowing what I wanted anymore. I am a first time bike owner and just knew I wanted a Harley. I was greeted by Billy Collazo and immediately was asked the right questions to find me the right scooter. Poor guy went and found 4 or 5 bikes in the system that matched what I was looking for and took us into the shop pointing the ones on his list out so I could look at them. Within aprox 30-45 minutes, I had selected a bike, worked out pricing and had paperwork prepared to send to my bank to get it financed on Monday. I ended up going with a black 2015 Heritage softail with only 1,839 miles. When Monday came, Billy contacted me and informed me that they were already in contact with my bank and paperwork was on it's way for approval. He never stopped communication with me as the day went on and I always knew between the bank's communication and Billy, where we were in the deal. On Tuesday, Billy's day off, he contacted me to find out what time I wanted the bike delivered to my house. THAT SPOKE VOLUMES about his customer service skills. The bank also communicated every step of the way and had my loan ready to sign on Tuesday, so I did that. On Wednesday morning, Billy contacted me and told me all financing was completed and that the bike would be delivered that afternoon. And sure enough, they came thru just as planned! Look people, I had a FANTASTIC AND OVER THE TOP experience with this dealership and especially with Billy. Never once was I pressured or left not knowing what was going on. yes I would text Billy and probably bothered the poor guy with a ton of questions but he always replied back and made sure that I fully understood what was going on. Another thing was the pricing. It came to the bank for loan approval with the exact amount we discussed TO THE PENNY! Not a single cent over what I was told and that just doesn't happen in todays world of sales. there's always some kind of additional fee or a special something but not here. Corinth may not be a convenient drive for some but I encourage you to at least call Billy and see for yourself what he says. Worse place to buy from hands down do not buy here!!! Reason i say this is due to the 06' softail deluxe I bought 9 months ago. Since day one it had a squeak in the back end took em 8 months to figure out it had the wrong wheels on it! But before then my life was put at risk one day when I got it back from then. When the rear pulley bolts had been put back on with no thread lock and I have dozens of witnesses to back that up pulley could of came off due to all 5 bolts on it being 1/4 of the way out!!! They "fixed" the problem with putting fat boy wheels on it humm still wrong wheels so I just bit my tongue. So a week or two later I replaced the rear tire with the size that's on it witch is a 140/90-16 when took to a well trusted shop not there cause they lost all trust and integrity! I took it in with the tire I bought that was the same size as the one on it and the shop owner/ tech said that's wrong size tire for this bike!! And American eagle has not returned any calls or emails but at this point I done washed my hands of them!!! Now since the tire has been changed the bike goes into a death wobble called shop that installed tire and they said yea that's cause the wrong size shit on the bike and American eagle hd has not done anything to make it right I mean hell if they really had integrity they would of caught all these problems when they took the bike in as a trade and would of also found that the handle bars where cracked in 4 spots that is if the did the proper pdi witch finding all this shit wrong tells me they didn't and they didn't do the proper pdi when it was sold to me!!!! So fuck this place I won't stop there to piss!!!! So don't buy anything there and sure as hell don't take anything there for repairs or services!!! If you do well I'm sorry for your luck read more

You better shop around for Harley Warranties before you buy. Long story short, some dealerships, not all, add a huge markup on some of their warranty packages that Harley either does not care to regulate or know about. This is a post about American Eagle HD. I am a long time customer of Maverick Harley Davidson in Carrollton TX, having bought 13 bikes from them over the last 6 years. I recently went into buy wheel and tire warranty for my 2010 Heritage I bought from Dream Machines. This began my learning experience. I was helped by one of the finance guys named john parker and the first thing he said when I said I wanted "wheel and tire warranty only" was "my machine (computer) was not set up to do that." He then tried to sell me on the more expensive full ESP coverage which he priced at 2500 for 3 years. He told me he would give me 10% off and make that 2300. Then when I balked at that he offered me the Stand Alone Wheel and tire for $450; the one he said he could not offer before; but I had to get all new tires. He then went to help someone else seeing I was catching on. Something about this deal stunk so I left and made some calls. First I called American Eagle in Corinth, their direct competitor. The finance manager chris miller told me that for 1 year Stand Alone wheel and tire they charge $900 and for two years $1300. I found out later there is over $500 mark up from these guys. I asked Chris directly if there was a markup and he admitted that there was, but gave no details. I then called Harley Davidson direct, I told them what had happened so far, and they sympathized without giving me much of an answer. They gave me the number to CNA 1.800.527.7226 which is Harley's third party claims processor for warranties on used bikes to see if they were concerned. I talked to them and the guy on the phone and when he heard about me feeling a bit gouged said "it is what it is". So I then called Dallas HD in Garland Texas owned by Paul Langford. The finance manager Jack Mangum finally gave me the real price off the price sheet that they would sell Stand Alone wheel for 1 year $459, 2 years $508, 3 years $584. Finally honest pricing. I called the dealership Mr Langford has in Allen TX and they have the same pricing. So Ill be doing business with them in the near future for my warranty needs, not these other guys who think its cool to screw over their customers. read more

I wish I lived here, I been in the area working for several weeks and have had outstanding service in every department I've been to which unfortunately has been all of them, a couple of bumps but they were resolved. In the best interest of me and the dealership. I spent a lot of time today working with the sales department. We got very close to a deal and the entire team worked hard to try and make it happen. Spent some extra time in clothing department which I typically do not do, however Chelsea was one of the girls on the floor and was very helpful with my points I was not aware I had and helpful in finding a certain jacket I've been looking for. I have yet to experience a 'typical Harley Davidson' attitude that I have run across in a few other dealerships around the country (I travel a lot) the atmosphere here is always outstanding and the few Saturday's I've been here are how party's and gathering should be. This is a awesome dealership although I live 2000 miles away I'll buy from here if I ever buy a new bike again. read more

This dealership will never touch my bike again! In April I paid almost $2,000 for parts and service, about $300 of which was for a new front tire with installation on my 2008 Nightster. I have only ridden it 30 mils since then and it is flat as a board. I can hear air leaking from around the valve stem. They want to charge me $150 dollars to replace it. I was told they don't warranty their work or products. 30 miles and they want me to pay for what they couldn't do right the first time. I will take my bike somewhere where they actually know what they're doing and stand by the quality of their work! read more

I was contacted by the Service Manager who was very nice as well as understanding. I felt he took the issues I had serious and he looked into it. It was easy for me to write that review when I was still "salty" about it and it was all true. I understand that things happen. It just so happened that everything that could go wrong with a service department did go wrong in my case that day. Even though I told him I wanted to only to inform him of my experience and nothing else; he told me if I come back when my next oil change is due they will cover it and also detail my bike as well. I understand that he can't be everywhere all the time, but I feel he will have put his staff in the back service department on notice to step up their game. I just feel if your going to charge those kind of prices your service better be on point. Over all I hope that my experience and dealings with the service manager will save the next person that has work done there does not have any of the issues I did. read more
