I hired Joe Simac who's the owner of Amcro electric to do several electric jobs for my remodel . I paid him over $2,500 dollars in electrical work. After everything was done I noticed that the outlet in my kitchen where garbage disposal was connected wasn't working anymore. There was no electric current at all. A wire must have been cut my mistake. I called Joe on so many occasions and sent him numerous messages but he never returned any of my calls. Very unprofessional. I would not recommend hiring him. AmCro responded immediately and conducted several electrical repairs on my rental property in Encinitas. They were the most reasonably priced compared to 3 other local electrical companies. They repaired everything in 2 days and I saved more than $1,800. I will use AmCro for all my personal and rental properties for electrical work. The quality is high, the value is impeccable and it's a win-win-win. If you need residential or commercial electrical repair, ensure you get a quote from AmCro. read more

Called, picked up, said he was driving, and to call his voice mail Did that, no callback. Called again the next day, gave information to him on the phone and he said he would call back that evening between 6- 6:30. Never did. Left a message on his website the next day and he never responded. This is incredibly unprofessional. If he didn't want to replace ballast in fluorescent lights, all he needed to do was say so. Three tries at contacting him to give him work!! Two promises to call me on the phone. He might know his stuff but he isn't my kind of person. read more

It's been many years now that our family and friends count on Joe at AmCro Electricians for his knowlegeable, prompt, and dependable professional service and competitive rates. We've been quite happy with major projects such as re-wiring after an electrical fire, involving major appliance installations including our double-stacked ovens and other upgrades, along with minor repairs. Just recently an elderly man who I help thought there was an urgent problem, so Joe came out right away and it turned out to be a simple flick of the switch. Instead of charging a minimum Joe just smiled and said, "Merry Christmas!" read more

Called the store at 8:00am...it's 8:50am and the problem has been fixed. Can't believe we went without lights in part of our house for 2 days! Price seems reasonable. Breaker changed for $110. If we ever have any electrical problems again I won't hesitate to call this company back. read more

I have another great story about Joe from AmCro. I've been looking at the other reviews and it doesn't surprise me that a lot of other people have done the same thing I'm doing here. Other electricians told us we would have to run a new electrical line to our hot tub in the master bedroom, quoted us a price of $700. Joe came in, used technology the other guy didn't have to find the electrical box in the wall that the builder had plastered over and added a switch and we were DONE! Saved us $500. Came one day after we called, was a good guy, dealt with my dog who can really be a chore ... so happy with this find. CALL JOE!!! read more

During the remodeling of our house we found out that there was an issue with the wiring. It was outdated and because of that there were a lot of electrical problems. I called several electricians in the area trying to find someone who could come ASAP. AmCro Electric answered that call and went above and beyond. Joe came and was able to resolve the issue in a most competent and organized manner. He answered all questions I had and was able to bring my ideas and changes to life! I was very pleased with the result from start to finish. I highly recommend AmCro Electric! read more

After Joe was the only electrician who offered a free house call to diagnose my problem (my chandelier stopped working and it was clearly not lightbulbs), we arranged to meet within one day. He arrived promptly and diagnosed the problem within one minute. It was literally just a quick adjustment of an old fashioned switch and I again had light. He didn't charge me anything. Clearly, he's a talented, honest, and reliable electrician. I couldn't recommend him more and he will get all my future business if I have the need, which is likely I will. read more

I used Amcro to run ethernet throughout my house, and also electrical outlets for my wall TVs Joe was an amazing electrician, being able to run the wires with a minimal amount of holes drilled in the walls. Equally amazing was his ability to keep his work area clean of the dust and debris that is inevitable with this kind of work HIs quality of work is top notch! read more

AMCRO did an outstanding job mounting our flat screen TV to a wall bracket and installing surround sound speakers and recessed lights in the ceilings. Great service! Had an electrical outlet short circuit due to water this morning and Joe came out in an hour and a half after promptly answering my phone call (I had tried another local electrician, who never returned my calls). The outlet was fixed in less than 15 mins, and now we can relax and know the house isn't going to burn down now. Highly recommended! read more

We have a rental house in Encinitas Ranch and had some outlets go out in the kitchen area. I thought it was a simple breaker or gfi tripped...apparently it was beyond that. We set up a 10:30am appt to come out and fix the prob, Joe came out on time did the work in a timely manner. I thought for sure Joe wouldn't be able to find the problem since everything else seemed to be ok, but sure enough he found a short in one of the loose lines, snaked a new line, replaced a breaker and I was back in action. Thanks to Joe, hes the man!! Price was super fair, very professional!!! I highly recommend him!!! read more

Spent about $1,000 for Joe to fix my outdoor lights. Did about 80% of the work and wouldn't return my calls. Finally did, and installed a transformer that doesn't work. Not bothering to call him again. read more

AmCro was on top of my job from beginning to end. My initial call was responded to promptly(which is unusual in my previous experience). I have used AmCro for two seperate jobs. The first time I called AmCro I had an emergency and they came within 30 minutes of my call. Also gave me excellent pricing. AMAZING considering all other companies I contacted gave a response time of 5-24 hrs with inflated prices. AmCro had me back in business within a couple of hours. I have also used them for outdoor wiring and media. Again great job and low prices. They have been very professional, curteous, beyond competitive with pricing. I will use AmCro for any electrical needs I have in the future. read more

We used AmCro electric when our lights suddenly started dimming in the house. Joe came and diagnosed our problem. He said that we had arcing in the main panel. He gave us an estimate that seemed to be reasonable and explained to us in the details what was the problem and how best to fix it. Joe was very professional and knowledgeable as an electrician and we will use and recommend them to our fam. and friends. read more

Joe is able to handle any electrical issue you have in your home. We have used his services on at least five separate occasions while remodeling our home.
