Watched a movie during the weekday and it was a pleasant experience. For the concessions, got a coca cola icee, which was enormous and sooo tasty. The seats were okay. Wish they were bigger and reclined more. It was a busy night, so there were some lines and waiting for the concessions and ticket line. This theatre needs HELP. I arrived at Grapevine Mills to join a companion for a 6:00pm show. When, I got there I could not find the theatre. There are no signs in the parking lot identifying where this theatre could be hiding. Nothing on the side I eventually parked on. My friend and I are both handicapped. The theatre claims to be handicapped accessible. The handicapped parking places are the closest to where you have to enter to hike into the theatre. When I got out of my car, the parking lot was littered with rocks from a landscaping bed. This was not a day or two of rocks, but an accumulation from neglect. This is definitely a mall in the throw's of death. After making it through the Land of Rocks, it was on to an area that had concrete bumps and was the crosswalk.it was on a blind curve, so cars came speeding around the corner. One car thought it appropriate to speed past me even though I had entered the crosswalk. Now, I had entered the walk from the parking lot to the theatre. Even though this is 100 yards, there are no benches or seating. So once you enter this area you can't rest or sit. My friend was entering from the other direction and he felt equally challenged. Once we made it to the theatre and got in the Lobby there was no seating there either. We are considered to be very god at walking, by it this was challenging for both of us. We made our way to the theatre and all I can say is thank goodness we didn't have to walk the length of the theatre inside. When we got to our seats, we had to sit in the first row at the same level as the entrance. Neither of us are comfortable with climbing stairs. The seats were comfortable and the temperature was pleasant. The movie got over at 9:25. I was very uncomfortable walking to my car alone. With a dead mall and very few people I would say it is not safe for someone with a disability. Make sure you have some kind of spray to deter an attacker. AMC needs to remodel this theatre to have front doors that open directly to the parking lot. This is unacceptable and I am reporting this theatre as it is not handicap accessible. Neither my friend or I will ever return to this theatre. Plus the tickets were $21.00 each even with a senior discount. Shameful. Stay at home to watch your movies. Some things in life really don't age well and this theater is a prime example. There's a ghost town feel all around from defunct ticket booths out front to large empty spaces inside, including abandoned food prep stations from their former dine in service. Even though this place was in much better health years ago, I was dissatisfied enough back then to swear I'd never return. Then Yelp hosted a fun event here recently that made me reconsider my decision. Unfortunately, that redemption would be short lived. I returned with my family on Easter Sunday and the first order of business was getting popcorn and drinks. After finding our seats we immediately dug in. I had only taken a couple bites when I found hair in my popcorn. And it definitely wasn't mine! The way it was wrapped around the piece told me that it was there when the kernel was popped. I was totally grossed out! Not only did I refuse to eat any more during the movie (even from a fresh batch), I'm not sure I will ever feel comfortable eating popcorn in a dark theater again. It's obvious that higher prices don't equal better hygiene practices here because the popcorn (along with everything else) is outrageously expensive. The fact that the condiment stations were dirty and the floors were sticky, before the first showing of the day, was a big clue that I mistakenly overlooked. Kind of a dumpy theatre overall. BUT. good news is that the senior pricing is great and the parking is plentiful. Also they seem to consistently have a slightly better selection of films than Lewisville. Also PRO TIP: I do like to sneak in a snack from the food hall at the mall next door. AND if you get to the theatre early you can do a lap around the mall to get some steps in. read more

I had a very hard time finding the entrance to this theater from the parking lot. It's facing the mall instead of outwards so coming here for the first time was so confusing. The ticket booths were oddly empty but a cool layout. Inside the lobby was extremely expansive and they had an actual sit down area for the macguffins bar, which was delightful since they're usually just one guy behind a tiny bar and then you have to immediately go to your theater or leave right after the movie. I don't usually get food at AMC but I was starving after work and picked up popcorn and popcorn chicken, which was rather delicious and just what I needed. Tonight we watched #FreakierFriday in auditorium 16. This room was set at a comfortable air temp, didn't need a jacket and wasn't burning up. The seats were clean and in good condition too! I liked our dj that played while we waited for the movie to start. Alot of the 2000s hits were played! Additionally, there were plenty of spaces to park, no issues. First time here for a screening of the Fantastic Four: Small Steps in July 2025. Amazing fan presence here on this evening, as the cinema was filled to capacity! Stadium seating, with plush seats and an incredible sound system. In sitting at the very top of the seating area, the view was still very good. Outside of the theatre, concessions were plentiful, yet not over the top expensive (priced just right7. Th bar area? Yeah, good luck with that. At least it is there. The employees here are genuinely enthusiastic, and pleasant to talk with. My sole complaint? Turn the lights on after the movie is over. I was quite surprised by how many people had to use their cell phone flash lights to maneuver through the rows to get to the exits. Absolutely ridiculous. I'm not sure if this is normal, or just an anomaly- it can be a potential safety risk, AMC! Parking here is simple- just find any space, and walk toward the area that has the multiple exterior ticket booths. AMC Grapevine Mills is huge, and it is easy to miss the entrance into the theatre. Just follow the others in front of you toward the mall area, where you will see the ticket booths plus front entrance. Overall, a good environment for anyone to enjoy. 5 stars for the quality venue & customer service., yet -1 star for the turned off lights aspect at the end of a movie. read more

I honestly would not go to AMC if it wasn't for certain exclusive movies that show up there from time to time. Off rip only four urinals in one of their close bathrooms one of them is covered up so only three there's a line just for the restroom that looks dirty and disgusting. Food and popcorn is always gonna be expensive. That's not the problem. The popcorn is already like not fresh or popped. It's just in the bucket they grab it give it to you and throw a cup at you to fill up yourself... I'm used to Cinemark getting me a drink and freshly popped popcorn. The theater was warm walking in. It was disgusting. I don't know if this is normal but out of the 27 minutes of previews about eight minutes of the previews were literally just AMC pushing all their subscriptions. I would've shown up late if I knew it was this bad. They have like some sort of VIP membership or whatever to help you with the line it's empty so it doesn't even matter you're gonna be at the front anyways. Even off the rip of walking in, they don't even check your tickets. They want you to go to this little corner to talk to them before they check your tickets instead of just being at the entry like almost every other theater to direct you... I am surprised AMC is in business. I've only gone to two AMC Theatres this year and only because I absolutely had to to watch La La Land and SpeedRacer. Love coming here for the Dolby Screen they have. Sound like no other theater I've ever been to. Always clean with comfy seats. Staff and food is fine? No better or worse than most movie theaters. 2 of the 5 seats I bought for Father's day were literally blocked by a wall in front of them. I was pissed that they would even sell those seats to unsuspecting customers (see pictures). I'm 6'1". Talked to customer service to see if we could be given seats for a different movie where we all could sit together (our movie was too full to move the whole family within the same theater #30). Well, the employee wouldn't waive the upcharge for the Imax movie that had enough seats. We ended up seating our kids on 3 contiguous seats, while my wife and I sat separately. 3 soda machines had no ice while the 4th one was completely inoperable. Restrooms were gross. Seats were uncomfortable and floors were sticky. Carpet looked 20 years overdue for a replacement. The whole vibe was zero Fs given until they finally go out of business. Ruined the end of our planned activities for the day and reminded us why we prefer to watch things at home. No sympathy from us when the inevitable happens. read more

Theatre number 5 was severely outdated. The seats do not recline, there were rips and tears in the seats, some were off balance so you were leaning the entire time. It did not feel like we had surround sound in the theatre making this a very dated experience especially when paying the same as you would at more updated theatres in the area. read more

Wow I don't even know how to start. In 2025 where you pay $20 per ticket. Avoid this theater at all costs. Cleanliness -1 There was still popcorn in my seat and the armrest was sticky from what I hope was soda. Seating/comfort - 1 I don't even know where to start with this. The seats and armrests are in various states of disrepair. In an age where the bare minimum is a reclining seat. A regular seat that has is in disrepair and just not comfortable The only saving grace and why it even gets 2 stars is this is one of the only imax theaters close by but my understanding is that modern technology has caught up to imax so that may not even really be a plus anymore. All in all I can't begin to describe what a POS this theatre is for a full price theaters. There are dollar theaters where I may or may not have wheels on my car when I come back that are in better shape than this. I will never come back here again. read more

Despite saddling them with the sheriff's badge of one star in this review, I have no beef with AMC in general. With as many locations as they have it is usually a standardized experience that it is all fine, maybe not fully automated luxury gay space communism like we're all looking for when we have at least four sawbucks burning a hole in our pockets, but still fine nonetheless. But then there are locations such as this particular one which drag the average down precipitously. As many other reviews note, parking is not ideal. This is in a huge mall area sharing a single parking lot with LegoLand and a bunch of other large draw venues. My rental car also got keyed during the time I was watching a movie so it is not a particularly high end clientele you will be sharing the single parking lot with. It was a rental car, no political/personalization bumper stickers to make anyone mad, and it was parked within the lines, so I am not particularly sure why my rental drew someone's ire so much that they felt the need to key it, but it lets you know there are no cameras anywhere in the lot for security. So I obviously wouldn't recommend anyone come here since (a) you already have notice that crime happens in the lot, (b) there were no cameras to capture the tortfeasor in action, and (c) no security response of any kind. The ticket taker person at the front of the AMC was the high point of the experience, she was friendly and directed me to which end of the AMC my movie-film would be in. Now we have the rest of the miserable experience. I looked at the AMC webpage and googled to confirm ahead of time this location did not have Dippin' Dots - the AMC webpage would not let you order them online at this location, the AMC webpage did not have it on their online menu either, and several google results said this location did not have Dippin Dots. What did I see when I walked over to the snack area and waited in line? They had a freezer for Dippin Dots. You filthy, filthy liars. Unfortunately the freezer was not set at the correct temperature so I purchased my Dippin Dots and walked into the theatre expecting to eat them straight away. But it was frozen into a solid block of ice, since the freezer was not set at the correct temperature. I have been eating Dippin Dots for over 25 years, I know a thing or two about how they work, that was the only good part of my first job as a teenager that way back then, before they really caught on elsewhere, I could get them every shift to make working a minimum wage job with insane micro-managey rules more palatable to a surly teenager. It took 20 minutes to thaw enough I could jam my Dippin Dots spoon (tm) in there and actually eat the dots, that is how incomprehensibly poorly the Dippin Dots freezer was set at. Just let me eat my dots in peace, don't make me stare at a block of ice for 20 minutos. As if that was not bad enough, the seat I was assigned to was on its last legs and literally broke in the full-on recliney position as soon as I got in it and the motor would not move it back any. So I had to spend the entire movie-film at a full hospital bed tilt. It was like "netflix and chill" without the netflix, just a 40something year old man trying not to fall asleep during the movie-film since this was bed angle, not movie theatre seating angle. The gentlesir's restroom was also filthy, it easily could have been on par with one in a Greyhound restroom except for the fact you know it would actually get hosed off at least once this decade in the Greyhound stations in Buffalo and Detroit I have been in for hockey reasons over the past few years. In short, I find nothing redeeming about the movie going experience at this pee pee soaked heckhole. AMC? More like Ain't Comin Here (dyslexia, it checks out) read more

I visited here for the first time last weekend to watch the Deadpool movie and had a pretty good time. The whole experience is pretty average for going to see a movie in theaters. First, parking can be extremely hard to find in the afternoon on the weekend. There is a big parking lot shared with the rest of Grapevine Mills Mall, so may take a minute to reach the theater depending on how busy the rest of the mall is. Second, you can either buy tickets in advance online or at the outside kiosks before heading inside the theater. Unfortunately as it can get very hot outside these days, the only way to really enter the theater is by having a ticket in advance as there's not much of a public waiting area. Once inside, there are only a couple theaters, but the food and beverages seem to be standard theater prices (read: highly overpriced). I did enjoy watching on the large IMAX screen with heavy surround sound. read more

I came here with my family to watch special viewing of Avatar way of water on the imax screen and the staff there is so incompetent. The movie started late and it started with sound with a black screen, no film. My spouse had to go get the staff FOUR times and they were very nonchalant about it simply said we're trying to fix it. Then after several tries the film finally started correctly from the beginning but the theater lights didn't turn off!! Again my spouse had to go and tell the staff. And we realize it was 3D and the ticket scanner never gave us glasses so again my spouse had to go get glasses!!! There is a bunch of untrained incompetence people with no personality and people skills working at this theatre. Will not be going back to this location! read more
