The perfect spot for a unique movie night! We got tickets online for a Tuesday showing. While they recommend arriving 90 minutes early, 45 minutes worked fine for us since it wasn't crowded--weekends might be different! I loved the comfort of watching from our car. You can tune in on your car radio or rent one from them. The concession stand offers a variety of snacks, and the bathrooms were clean. The picture quality isn't the best, but that's expected. Overall, the nostalgic vibe at Coyote was amazing--can't wait to return! TL;DR: Nostalgic, cozy drive-in with decent snacks, clean bathrooms, and a fun atmosphere. Weekends may require an earlier arrival.

It's so neat that Fort Worth has a real deal drive in movie theater. It's located off 4th Street in the downtown area of the city. They have 4 screens, each movie has its radio station that you can tune to in your car or Coyote also has radios available to rent. Even though you are in your vehicle they have signs up asking you not to bring in outside food and beverages. We supported the overpriced (as you would expect) concessions and bought 3 meat pizzas, hamburgers and fries. And even though delivery to your car is available we went old school and walked up to the concession stand. Even with a long line on a Friday night they were pretty quick. The incredible skyline view is also a very nice perk. Coyote Drive In is a super fun way to enjoy a movie!

Overall a fun experience for the family. It's pretty fun to see a movie here and have some nice bar food and popcorn. Yes I can stay home or go to a movie theater to do the same thing, but the vibe at a drive in to me is just different in a positive way. The burger, booze, and popcorn were tasty. Every worker we came across from the front gate, Oder taker and bartender were all very friendly. We had no problems watching the movie and everyone around us was pretty chill. I also love the fact that we were able to bring our doggo along. Just a fun experience, highly recommend!

First off, I'm a fan of going to movies, Second, I'm a big fan of Drive In's! I grew up going to drive in movies and have fond memories of the overall experience you get there. So happy there is a Drive In Movie place in Fort Worth. It's not like going to a luxury theater with climate control or Dolby surround sound but the experience of being outside, with your family or friends in a casual setting is something you will enjoy! We ordered some basics candy and popcorn. It's what you'd expect at any movie theater. Overall loved the experience and the views of downtown Fort Worth are

I went to see Wicked with my sister and dog and enjoyed it so much! We got there early to get a good spot, and then turned on the radio and we were ready! Didn't get to try any of the concessions because they shut down after the film starts unfortunately. Other than that it was a very enjoyable experience and I can't wait to come again!

Love the kid play area and food options available. Parking was a little weird, but overall genuinely enjoyed my time.

What a fun time! In all honesty it was the first drive in movie I have ever seen. The concessions were great, typical concessions but they also had a bomb Mexican food cart and a vegan empanada place. Both were delicious. We also got refillable fountain drinks and popcorn/candy at the concessions. Bathrooms were clean and well kept. Lots of room to park and see the screen easily. And LOVED seeing the movie with the Fort Worth skyline as a backdrop all lit up. Great experience and we definitely will be back! Easy to get to and affordable price too! So fun!

Coyote Drive in is a wonderful bit of nostalgia in Ft Worth. They have 4 screens for movies nightly. We decided to treat my youngest with a trip to the drive in on New Years Eve, with our oldest going to hang at their friends house for the night. We opted with Jurassic Park, which was slightly less cost than the more current movies. Though during our movie we could turn around and see another one of the movies playing. They have discount Wednesday with I would recommend if coming for a newer movie. Sound came thru well on our car speakers, we even tested out a radio we got over the holidays incase we decided to sit in the lawn chairs we brought with us. The concession area is a nice area to let the kids play on the play ground while you wait for your movie, as they recommend coming an hour before your show incase there is traffic. They had fire pits going and the option to buy a s'mores kit for $15 that worked out to make 6 smores, which we split with another family in line that noticed them on the menu with us. I'm not sure if they have that year round or just during the colder months. We ate before we came so we stuck to the s'mores for the fun of it to help kill time before the movie ... Plus, the popcorn & icee we had intended to splurge on. They say no outside food/drink but as with most movie theaters, you likely can get away with some small items like candy or some bottled water/soda if you have it put away, but don't be obvious trying to come in sonic cups in your cup holder or holding a pizza. They do have folks in golf carts coming around to help charge batteries, or remind people to turn off/keep off lights.

This place is so retro and fun!!! Sit out in your lawn chairs with a speaker you can rent for $6 or in your car where you can hear the sound on a radio station. Great little bar area and concession stand. Also a cool food truck.

In & Out movie NOT Bad Boy movie we paid for

My hubby and I had date night here for the 50th time because it's a really good idea. Everything is usually awesome but, not this date night . I bought tickets online for Bad Boys for life movie and we were given driving directions by the staff to freakin' In &Out kiddie movie If you're going to have the staff give directions to the correct theater MAKE SURE THEY KNOW THE CORRECT DIRECTIONS

The manager is very rude and short tempered. I can't believe he is in charge of a family place.

Ask the Community - Coyote Drive-In

Anyone know if they're open the weekend of 6/20?

Yes, they are. They're showing Jurassic Park and IT along with another double feature...Shrek and Harry Potter I believe.

Can I bring my own food? What's the price per person?

Yes, you can picnic in your car - though they have some pretty decent options! Price per person depends, but it's pretty affordable, approximately $8 per person. Definitely cheaper than a traditional theater!

Forgive me, but I've never been. Can you leave after the first feature?

They are only showing one movie at a time for now.

Is there a seating area if you don't have a truck bed to sit in?

I don't believe so. We had lawn chairs and just open up our SUV to listen to the movie through the radio. Left the motor running so the battery wouldn't run down.

Can we watch two separate movies if they are not paired from the listings?

No. They have signage up everywhere that you have to watch the movies you paid for together. You can't watch one and then drive to a different screen and watch the other.

So the first movie of the double feature doesn't start till 8:55 p.m. then the next movie after that?

Once the credits are done in the first movie, the next movie plays right after. It is late, but it is because the sun is still out and glares onto the screens so, which makes it hard to see clearly as if it was night time.

The swank, Art Deco atmosphere matches the hotel perfectly, but the food is the real star. For lunch, the Wicked Burger was phenomenal. Built with cheddar, caramelized onions, mushrooms, and a rich sauce on a toasted sesame brioche bun, it hits every savory note perfectly. The rest of the table was equally thrilled with their choices, including the French Dip (loaded with caramelized onions, provolone, and horseradish-garlic aioli on a baguette with a stellar au jus) and the crisp Steak Cobb salad. The truffle fries were a massive hit and a frequent topic of conversation around the table, and even the fountain Diet Coke was perfectly calibrated. I'd be completely remiss if I didn't mention the monster rolls brought out for the table--they are giant, incredibly airy, golden popovers served with a spectacular rosemary honey butter that steals the show before the main course even arrives. For breakfast, I wanted to stay on the healthier side and ordered the Sinclair Breakfast with chicken sausage. The sausage delivered incredible flavor with a perfect, distinct peppery bite. The plate was beautifully balanced with delicate microgreens, and the breakfast potatoes were a total standout--perfectly executed with a great outer char and deep flavor. Paired with excellent, robust Lavazza drip coffee, it was a flawless start to the morning. Across both visits, the staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and highly attentive with beverage refills. Top-tier service, great quality, and an absolute must-visit in Fort Worth.

It has that fantastic Fort Worth western vibe I was looking for--perfect for a professional get-together without the stiff shirt-and-tie atmosphere. The service and drinks were spot on. Cocktails hit the table fast and were well-made. For starters, we ordered the onion rings, which were easily the biggest I've ever seen and perfectly seasoned. The elk sausages over a polenta base were also delicious and a great start to the meal. When it came to the mains, I wanted something a little different than a standard sirloin. The server recommended the skirt steak topped with a cheese enchilada. I'm normally not a huge fan of cheese enchiladas, but this one changed my mind--it was authentic and awesome. The western beans served on the side were outstanding too. We finished the night with a great red wine and a solid apple crisp with vanilla ice cream. Unfortunately, the kitchen ran into some major consistency issues with the main course. Three people in our party of eight had to send their steaks back because they weren't cooked to the requested temperature--and one gentleman had to send his back more than once. To their credit, the front-of-house team handled it professionally; the server, manager, and even the chef came out to the table to apologize. While the service recovery was there, it definitely put a damper on the evening and felt like a strange occurrence for a Texas steakhouse of this caliber.
