I came here recently and saw Lilo and Stitch with my family. A friend who lives in Fort Worth recommended it this theater. My experience was above average. I got here an hour and 15 minutes before the movie started, but at the time I came Lilo Stich wasn't brand new so I didn't expect a crowd. However I wanted to check out the dining area after driving an hour to get here. This way I can soak up the whole experience without it feeling rushed if I had come on time. The website does suggest arriving 90 minutes early. That's may be so worth weekend openers to get a good parking spot in front of the screen. For a movies that's been out and while it seem like an hour to 30 minutes before would be fine. There were no new movies when I went and there were plenty of parking spaces near the screen. My kids got a chicken sandwich and a burger. It's a no-frills burger with just the meat and cheese. My chicken sandwich was a bit over lukewarm however thankfully the flavor, crispiness, was good. The bun wasn't soft perhaps it was getting old, because it had some firmness to it. My daughter said the burger was average. My wife got the pepperoni pizza, this was a decent size, however the crust was undercooked. Pizza is average. I also tried the funnel cake which was 7/10. I also had the popcorn which was made fresh and delicious. The cotton candy was good too. In the dining area there's a slushy truck and a plate area for young kids they also have Connect Four and Corn hole. They also have a dedicated bar here and bathrooms in this area which were clean. My movie experience was good. It was bug free too (. My car kept on shutting off the radio (the movie sound plays through a FM station/ until I turned the engine on. Just prepare to idle your car or risk a dead battery if you have this feature. The movie quality was clear and the crowd was respectful and courteous. If you're into drive in movies this one is a go and definitely worth a first-time experience at best. read more

We arrived about an hour early. Parking was a breeze and the lines for concessions were short. The prices were very affordable compared to a regular theater. The kids enjoyed playing on the playground and video game before the movie. The chicken sandwiches were only lukewarm but the pizza came out popping hot and our popcorn was popped fresh. We were parked towards the front and had no issues with viewing the screen or people with their headlights on. It was a nice family outing. We had to restart the car a few times to make sure the battery didn't die and to keep the sound on in our vehicle. We took lawn chairs and backed the Jeep in to create plenty of space. If you have back or knee issues I would just make sure you bring a comfortable seat or have plenty of room to adjust in your car. read more

The perfect spot for a unique movie night! We got tickets online for a Tuesday showing. While they recommend arriving 90 minutes early, 45 minutes worked fine for us since it wasn't crowded--weekends might be different! I loved the comfort of watching from our car. You can tune in on your car radio or rent one from them. The concession stand offers a variety of snacks, and the bathrooms were clean. The picture quality isn't the best, but that's expected. It's so neat that Fort Worth has a real deal drive in movie theater. It's located off 4th Street in the downtown area of the city. They have 4 screens, each movie has its radio station that you can tune to in your car or Coyote also has radios available to rent. Even though you are in your vehicle they have signs up asking you not to bring in outside food and beverages. We supported the overpriced (as you would expect) concessions and bought 3 meat pizzas, hamburgers and fries. And even though delivery to your car is available we went old school and walked up to the concession stand. Even with a long line on a Friday night they were pretty quick. Overall a fun experience for the family. It's pretty fun to see a movie here and have some nice bar food and popcorn. Yes I can stay home or go to a movie theater to do the same thing, but the vibe at a drive in to me is just different in a positive way. The burger, booze, and popcorn were tasty. Every worker we came across from the front gate, Oder taker and bartender were all very friendly. We had no problems watching the movie and everyone around us was pretty chill. Went tonight, ordered a smores kit at concession and the chocolate was expired. No biggie, refunded because apparently the chocolate in all the kits were expired (11/2025) . Then movie started 30 minutes late because their sound system didn't work, then when the movie did come on the screen went black 30 minutes in and they cancelled the movie. Was not approached by any worker, went up to concessions after 30 minutes and was told then they were cancelling the movie and would give re entry passes but unable to do refunds. Unhelpful for a family not from here. After several messages they agreed to issue a refund, so some points there. Used to come all the time when we lived here and never experienced anything like this, but one issue after another makes me never want to come back when we are in town. read more

I went to see Wicked with my sister and dog and enjoyed it so much! We got there early to get a good spot, and then turned on the radio and we were ready! Coyote drive thru was a cute idea since I haven't seen a movie at the drive in years. They had an app to use to order food and delivery it to your car which came in handy since it was cold, but we ordered 2 pizzas, chili fries. And Nachos . They put all our food items in one bag With both pizzas facing sidewards with the cheese melted to both pizza boxes. When they deliver your ordered food items they should treat the food like it's theirs......... read more

What a fun time! In all honesty it was the first drive in movie I have ever seen. The concessions were great, typical concessions but they also had a bomb Mexican food cart and a vegan empanada place. Both were delicious. We also got refillable fountain drinks and popcorn/candy at the concessions. Bathrooms were clean and well kept. Lots of room to park and see the screen easily. And LOVED seeing the movie with the Fort Worth skyline as a backdrop all lit up. Great experience and we definitely will be back! Easy to get to and affordable price too! So fun! read more

Coyote Drive in is a wonderful bit of nostalgia in Ft Worth. They have 4 screens for movies nightly. We decided to treat my youngest with a trip to the drive in on New Years Eve, with our oldest going to hang at their friends house for the night. We opted with Jurassic Park, which was slightly less cost than the more current movies. Though during our movie we could turn around and see another one of the movies playing. They have discount Wednesday with I would recommend if coming for a newer movie. Sound came thru well on our car speakers, we even tested out a radio we got over the holidays incase we decided to sit in the lawn chairs we brought with us. The concession area is a nice area to let the kids play on the play ground while you wait for your movie, as they recommend coming an hour before your show incase there is traffic. They had fire pits going and the option to buy a s'mores kit for $15 that worked out to make 6 smores, which we split with another family in line that noticed them on the menu with us. I'm not sure if they have that year round or just during the colder months. We ate before we came so we stuck to the s'mores for the fun of it to help kill time before the movie ... Plus, the popcorn & icee we had intended to splurge on. They say no outside food/drink but as with most movie theaters, you likely can get away with some small items like candy or some bottled water/soda if you have it put away, but don't be obvious trying to come in sonic cups in your cup holder or holding a pizza. They do have folks in golf carts coming around to help charge batteries, or remind people to turn off/keep off lights. read more

I have a neighbor that has attacked and beaten by a couple and their dog (all started due to large dog not on a leash) in the evening of July 19th. My neighbor who was there with her husband and grand children had to be taken to the emergency room via ambulance. People there just stood around and watched... We love the Coyote Drive-In! When you get there, there is always some live music to enjoy while your kids can play with others on the playground. Concessions flow quickly and there is a bar concession for beverages as well. Lots of bees were buzzing around the soda area for the sugar so that was a bit worrisome if you are allergic. They should look into doing something different for the sodas. My bird child was welcomed by the staff and people enjoyed seeing him. Did not see any mosquitos while we were out there. It was an enjoyable evening. Just a side note, if you are visiting the drive in, be courteous of your headlights and please arrive before the movie starts. It was pretty distracting during our scary movie to have headlights blurring the screen and tail lights movie in front of you. read more

And, they have a great beer/wine selection! The Canteen also is the site of the restrooms which are kept SO clean and have automatic toilets, sinks, soap and paper towel dispensers. Coyote is at its best during the winter. You may need to run your car heater (especially the defrost) a bit, but it's better than wilting in the summer heat. December and January feature a small ice rink and a heated tent where people seem to hang out even while the movie is showing. Movies are always two for the price of one. Sound is via your FM radio. Pro tip - bring a blanket to put over your dash if your radio display lights come on whenever the radio is on. The menu has changed since my first review, but the double bacon cheeseburger still hits the spot - make sure to ask for sides of lettuce, tomato or onion if you want to add those. Great feel. Clean bathrooms (which means a lot to me!) I like the entire setup. The menu options looked good too but we ate before we got there so we're not hungry. The ONLY negative was that the movie we saw was dark (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever) and there was "hood lighting" from the city not too far away, which made it VERY difficult to watch and focus. There were times we had to resituate our angles to try and see better. Old drive-in in my neighborhood when I was a child used to have a wall to block outside (street) lights. They may want to invest in that. Maybe get some HS tech students to do it for comm service or smaller fee and experience hours. read more

Coyote Drive in is just ok. We decided to go there because they had a movie that was only showing at their drive-in. The main issue is that they seem to play an hour worth of commercials. They repeated some of the commercials at least twice. The movie ends really late when you choose an 8pm showing. Another thing is the employees kept knocking on our car door. They interrupted us three times. They kept addressing a situation that their drive-in has not done to accomodate newer model cars. Date night should not be full of interruptions. Their location is really hard to find. You have to make many turns in a strange area. When you think you are absolutely lost, you are almost there. I'm not that familiar with what a drive-in is supposed to look like because it's 2023, but the surroundings just were not appealing to me. I found it strange that they did not allow outside food or drinks. Many people have water or drinks in their car all of the time. Some people might go to the grocery store before coming. They are concerned with outside food when they barely have anyone attending in the first place. They didn't seem to enforce the food and drink policy because I had a water with me. I'm not sure about the concessions or facilities because I didn't use them. read more

Such a fun place with "modern nostalgia". Great pre-movie game and play area, epic concession stand (with alcoholic beverages and a fun signature cocktail) and clean restrooms. You can order and have treats delivered to your car via their app...too convenient! I highly suggest getting there early for a premium spot and for hanging out at aforementioned concession area. The most covid friendly movie experience you can have now a days!! I don't come often, but I definitely should! They used to do a double feature, I guess not any more? I always fall asleep on the second movie anyway! It's still a pretty fair price for a movie ($8 per person). Come early, get your spot, get comfortable, buy concessions (consisting of delicious local beers!), and enjoy your movie! This 4th of July my husband bought us tickets for the drive in. We were very excited. We knew the traffic would be nuts and the fire word would cause some roads to be closed. The website even said to leave early so we did. The movie started at 9:40, so we left at 8:00 to get there, thinking we would have plenty of time. WRONG. Not only could we not get in from any street/route, they were not nice about it. When I called, I got no answer, so I texted. The response was, "sorry, we do not control the road closing. You should have left earlier." Im sorry, how much earlier? We left an hour and 40 mins prior to start. The police we asked if there was any possible way to get in apologized and stated, "you are not the only people that have asked is this." The officer stated it was too many to count for the amount of people asking to be let in for the movie. So long story short, we drove around trying to find a way to get into the entrance for 1 hour 40 mins and were greeted with a rude text when asking what we should do. They do this every Fourth of July, they knew this would happen. Why would they not forewarn. The website says to leave early, so we did. Very disappointed, as this place is great family fun and we used to go a lot. I will never go again. Not that it will hurt their business any and they clearly do not care. I am not trying to be a "Karen" when leaving this review. I never leave bad reviews anywhere. But this was very unprofessional on their end. My kids were very, very upset as was I. read more
