Ok so I like going to the movies here but it really hit and miss. Sometimes the food is good other times not. Sometimes the server knows what's going on other time they don't seem to know the menu. This time the manger didn't know how to handle a disturbance in the movie theater. Easy tell the people to stop talking or they need to leave. Cut and dry and then enforce it. Management needs to be firmer with policy enforcement so the rest of the theater can watch without interruptions. I don't want to see you play your cell phone game glowing the entire time at the movie or hear you talk to your neighbor. Please start removing guests that ruin the experience for the rest of us. read more

A group of us wanted to see the new Keke Palmer movie and decided to check it out at this location. We arrived and were immediately greeted and assisted with purchasing tickets. One in our party is a military wife and we were pleased that military discounts are offered. We were asked to take a seat in the lobby until the theater opened. This is a very sexy theater! I think it's the black accents and whatnot. 4 stars due to ordering wings and paying $18 for only 4 with celery and carrots. The menu prices definitely need to be reviewed . I was here during the Lord of the rings trilogy so my friends and I were here 3 days in a row and we are NOT RETURNING. Each day became more disappointing to the next. Service was absolutely poor our first issue was our seat in the top row was broken and we told the server who just kinda shrugged their shoulders so we asked before the movie started if we can move to different empty seats it should be on the staff to accommodate customers if there an issue which we had to be the one to ask to get it fixed. We came to the same seat the next day to the same still broken sest and nobody offering to move us and when we talked to the manager after the movie to tell him about the 4 mistakes made on our order alone(each time we told our server plus food runners a mistake was made NONE of were even slighty apologetic) plus it took 2 hours for my friends the get the brisket tots and the chicken tenders were very dry. We also told him the seat we still broken(the servers never told management to block off the seat until fixed). We asked for a partial refund and the manager Cody gave us 2 $10 vouchers since we were returning the next day but then we had issues redeeming the full amount the next day on even food alone without asking the manager to do a refund after the fact. The $5 bloody Mary special my friend wasn't aware(Technically his fault but not remembering titos is only liquor discounted) but when he ordered the special the server showed his screen and asked what vodka he wanted not telling him his choice would cost him extra. Telling the manager this she wouldn't refund the liquor due to state laws but wouldn't refund any other item to make up for it. We understand mistakes happen we are all human but so many mistakes shouldn't happen so many times in a row and the only maybe one person(Cody) seemed to wanted to make it right. read more

Studio Movie Grill needs to take notes from West coast establishments like Cinopolis and The Lot. The reclining seats are cheap, do not recline all the way back. The staff do not grasp the concept of service during a film. They walk up in front of you , speaking loudly and oblivious to the fact that they are detracting from the experience. The front bar was very limited in its selection. The only positive was that the tickets were only $10. I guess you get what you pay for. read more

This is a newer dine-in theater in south Fort Worth/north Crowley and it's worth checking out. Goods: 1. There's plenty of free parking! 2. Getting tickets is easy via their app or online. You can reserve seats, and all of the seats are comfortable recliners. 3. The food was really good! We went on a Friday night. I got the spicy buffalo chicken flatbread and the wife got ballpark nachos with brisket, and they were both very tasty! I only gave four stars because there was no stadium style seating in the theater we were in, which is odd for a new theater. However, we will definitely be going here more often for dinner and a movie! read more

Unfortunately this SMG experienced a slow opening due to COVID, but back reopening with a true flair! With large comfy lounger recliners and 12 auditoriums to enjoy your movie. The sound was spectacular (as noted by hubby). Full bar featuring Freakshow wines, margaritas, beer, and of course cocktails. Certainly, a mention of their American grill offerings for flatbread pizza, nachos, burger sliders, crispy wings, roasted red pepper hummus with pita bread and crudités, coconut shrimp, quesadillas, even salads! Whew! Thanks to our great server Dell! Hubby enjoyed the complimentary glass of Cabernet Freakshow, 2019, Smooth with finishing notes of deep black cherry and chocolate according to his palette. He ordered a 2nd glass of Freakshow Cabernet. Claiming Cabernet satisfaction. Our server Dell stopped in 3-4 times to ensure our food and wine arrived timely. Auditorium 6 was reserved by Fort Worth Community Yelp Host Kendall for a Galentine's Night in an exclusive, free screening of CRAZY, STUPID, LOVE  at Studio Movie Grill. I dropped my child off he is 15 years old and his friends to go see Lilo and stitch and they asked for if they had an ID that is actually insane how you have to go watch a movie a child's movie and you have to have identification children can't even go see a kids movie that's just bad management. read more

We went to see Gladiator 2 at this theater. During the first 5 minutes of the movie, we noticed how quiet it was and realized the surround sound speakers were not working. We made the workers aware and they said they would try fixing it. 15 minutes pass and all they did was raise the regular volume. I go to the theater for the experience. I would have waited for the movie to be released on streaming platforms if I knew I wasn't going to get to enjoy it the way you're supposed to in the theater. They wouldn't give us our money back. All they did was give us one free admission coupon, not sure I'll be going back if they can't even offer surround sound and making customers pay full price for that. Very disappointing. We did not watch more than 15 minutes and still didn't get our money back. Update: The next day we went to Clearfork AMC to watch Gladiator 2 and it was amazing! (Update: Looks like this has been fixed ) We had bought our tickets but there was no one to scan them. The other employee was helping another family. She didn't welcome us or acknowledged us until we asked for help. The theaters are super cold. So your food will get cold fast. The drinks are watered down. They stick the straws in your cups and I saw someone poking them down. Please offer sealed/clean straws and fresh brewed drinks. We ordered the burger slides and pepperoni pizza and they were ok. Went to a special Galentines event. And this brand new theater was such a pleasure to be at. They have a very pretty bar area full with freakshow wines. Complimentary chardonnay was awesome!! I would definitely try more wine when not driving... There was a plenty of staff, everyone was super nice, helpful and courteous. All the staff wore masks. The reclining seats are pretty large to accommodate you and your bag lol i love to keep bag by my side on seat in a movie theater...the buttons on recliner were pretty quick and swift and the recliner seats were moving smooth... i felt very comfortable.... Theater was very clean especially the floors. And toilets are super clean, no paper towels to dry hands, they have hand dryer.. Ample of parking outside, and located close to nice shops if you plan to shop before and after movie.. Do go and try this theater... read more

Group of two adults and three kids really looking forward to trying this concept. We like to go to movies frequently and thought this might be our new "go to". NOPE!!! This place was way too expensive (close to $200) with tickets and adult/kids food, no alcohol was consumed. Service was slow even though there was no one in the place. Workers seemed indifferent bordering on board. Food was slight upgrade to a fast food drive thru. Seats are stiff and uncomfortable. Screen is set back and small for theater. Overall poor experience and we won't be back or recommend to our movie community. read more

It's a very nice and modern looking theater (it's supposed to be a relatively new location) but the service was all over the place. My family and I came to watch Avatar (two are in their late teens and I came with my husband). Throughout the 3-hour movie my step brother got his pizza almost toward the end of the movie. I got a wrong order at least twice. They kept mixing up items for us even as I would tell the waiters "check with my siblings to see if it corresponds to what they ordered." They never did so they just took the food back downstairs with them. And we were like that throughout the whole movie. It's a really annoying thing to have to deal with especially because the constant interruptions really ruin the focus on the movie. At the end the manager came up to us mid-movie to apologize and speak to us rather than waiting until after the movie to do it. It's like they suddenly forgot we were all watching a movie and hoping for a seamless and as quiet as possible experience. All of that went out the window lol. Also my Margherita flatbread was stone hard on the edges and tasted like cardboard. No bueno. If that wasn't enough, there was a HUGE family sitting next to us taking up the whole row with babies and small toddlers. 1) I don't understand why parents think Avatar is a kid's movie -- this one was definitely not. 2) Children that young don't understand what's going on and definitely will not sit still for 3 hours -- and that's exactly what happened. It was God awful. The baby was crying the whole time (obviously the baby finds the surround sound system SUPER loud and unpleasant -- poor baby) but also they had zero self awareness or consideration for the rest of us genuinely trying to enjoy this movie. Please; parents...learn to respect other patrons at movie theaters. Tickets are not cheap. The food is not cheap. Paying close to $100 for a meal and a movie and on top of that to have kids running up and down in front of us and you carrying your crying baby really ruins the experience for all of us and serves as unnecessary distractions. Either leave the babies at home with a babysitter or wait for the movie to come out on your favorite streaming services. PS they charge for dipping sauce that is supposed to come with chicken tenders - we realized AFTER getting our check. WTF! Every time we go here I'm surprised at how it's brand new but going downhill. We selected 7 seats and two of them wouldn't recline. It looked like they had no power. When I reported it, the waiter told me, "Yeah, some of them just don't work because people mess with them." What?! Mess with them as in press the buttons? No offer to help or fix it. We were bummed but didn't make an issue of it. This happened once at another theater and they had a guy fixing it in two minutes but we were out of luck here. Also, the popcorn had this very strong chemical smell and taste. Maybe the butter they are using? It was strange. There were only a few people there and service was quick and efficient but I'm concerned because it was days before Christmas and we couldn't get seats in any other theater around us but this one was almost vacant. The added percentage of gratuity to all orders can't help but it would be worth it for a wonderful experience. The chicken strips were like leather for being over fried. They were also cold. The popcorn didn't have hot buttered popcorn. I checked my bank transactions the next day after going to the movies, and SMG double billed me for food. First bill was $53 then after i signed and paid tip bill was $63. $63 is what it cost but they put a HOLD on my checking account for 2 days for $53 before the amount fell off. Our server wasn't the friendliest, My little brother ordered popcorn and paid in cash and the server asked if he would like his change back and he said yes and never brought it to him! I received 2 different receipts and was very confused why I was getting charged and I asked a manager and he explained that one was before the 18% gratuity would be added so then he said we are all good and tossed my receipt in the trash even though I wanted it. I checked my bank statement and they had charged me $93 even though on my receipt it said $67. I have been trying to get ahold of them through the phone number provided on google and it doesn't even ring! Horrible establishment Update: one of the servers or managers added a $25 tip. I know there is a 18% gratuity charge and our bill was 53+ the 18 percent which came out to be 67.98 which i knew But when i checked my bank statements it said i got charged $93. I was trying to explain to him that i knew there was a 18% charge but it wouldn't add up to $93 and he kept blowing me off saying that he was sure it was just me not knowing that the 18% would be added which made me upset because he wasn't listening to what I had to say and kept making excuses as to why the bill was so high! He then said he would explain to me and print out our receipts and go step by step and show me how it works which made me even more upset because it sounded like an insult basically saying im dumb and don't know how to add. This was my first time at Studio Movie Grill. On the positive side, the theater was clean, the seating was comfy, the staff was friendly and the quality of the movie was fantastic. We were the first people in the theater, 30 minutes early, we ordered food and it took 45 minutes to get it. (All we ordered was cheese fries). The food was fantastic, so we decided to order a flatbread. It never came. We even pressed the button for service two times and we're still unsuccessful in getting our food, even after two hours. We may return to this theater, but it's unlikely that we would plan to order food. read more

This place gave us Movie Passes a couple of months ago, to compensate for a bad experience. The movie passes, come to find out, are only for older movies, and only if the film company allows passes. So, we did not use the passes. In addition, the bills (bar and food) have a gratuity of 18% automatically added to the bill. Ordering tickets online is higher prices as well. We were at the theatre, and thought we would order tickets on the app rather than wait in line. Ticket prices are higher on the app, and a fee is added for processing. In my opinion, this place will be out of business soon. The chairs have malfunctioned each time we went. We have gone twice now. The first time, the chairs did not recline, and the second time our seat cushion fell off when getting up. We will not be back. Ya can't make this stuff up, it's bad. read more

We appreciated the free glass of Cabernet provided by Freakshow, only wished they could have had bottles for us to purchase too. We missed the free koozie giveaways, guess there was limited number of them now that I am seeing photos of them on at the check-in desk. The theatre is much farther than I anticipated even though one of my gals knew exactly where it was. Worth the drive though for a free movie night. I ordered their bacon cheeseburger and fries (sorry no photo). It was devoured before the first scene Ryan Gosling first approaches the dad in the opening scene. The seats were very comfy and roomy aisles. I would go to a closer SMG near me next time though. read more

This is the most convenient location near my home and it used to be a great experience. As of recent the cleanliness of the facility has greatly declined. The floor is so sticky, the carpeting is filthy and the smell is putrid. It smells like dirty mop water and urine throughout the location. The seating and fees are the main complaints. The ergonomics of the seats are terrible. They are very short and narrow, feel like they don't recline fully, and leave no room for your arms; especially with the placement of the cup holders. I'm 6'2 and my legs hung off the end nearly a full foot. Also the fees are ridiculous, a $5 charge for buying tickets online and a $5 built in gratuity just for bringing three drinks and a popcorn. That is not to mention a separate place on the receipt for an additional tip. Lastly the popcorn was cold when it was brought out and the bass was way too high. read more
