The place is definitely a dive but the staff is super friendly and the manager did a phenomenal job handling a group of drunk guys who were acting up, I was highly impressed. He was peaceful and kind and de-escalate the situation well. They have a few interesting beer options and there's access to a different bar upstairs which has pool tables. This place says it's a show store from the outside, but alas, it is an actual saloon. It was near our hotel and we wanted a drink late night, so we came here. We got there right as they were making last call, but they took all of our orders and fulfilled them perfectly. I got a long island iced tea and it was super strong! It is a long narrow space with lots of seating both at the bar and at high tables along the side. Not sure if it was because we got there late, but they keep the lights up and I think it would be better if it was a little darker. The bathrooms are clean and the staff friendly. I did not get any food here so cannot provide a review on that. read more

We watched the bartender open a bottle of grapefruit juice that POPPED ! "Poof" and was still going to serve it to us until we changed our minds.... Red Goose Salon Saturday night show was so much fun. For dinner we had the BBQ Plate and the Brisket Fries both where delicious. I had a few rounds of the Hurricane drink it was very good too. The host of the show was Havoc The Clown she was freaking awesome we loved her. Shows are located up stairs and the tickets are for sale on the Red Goose Salon Facebook Page. Guys guys guys! There are some mixed reviews here for several reasons. The Red Goose is not a new fancy dance clubby bar. Because it's charm lies in the fact that it's an old children's shoe store and they have preserved a lot of that old Fort Worth history, kind of a big deal in my book. They have a sweet copper bar, a rad original neon sign, the original hex tiles out front, and the wall murals are something special; perfect for a selfie mmkay! Now let's talk food cause it's my jam. I go here for the Bacon and Blue Burger because it's delish y'all. Once again don't roll up in here wanting a fancy hipster burger with truffle oil. No this burger takes me back to my days at the rodeo and getting a burger from the concession wagon. It's basic with thick cut bacon, melty blue cheese, crisp butter lettuce, and a real bun. It's greasy in the best way y'all. The fries are curly and crisp and they have some nice smoky baked beans they threw in for free the last time I was in. The Tuesday night bar tenders are my fav, friendly and approachable. Great at making you feel comfortable. Love them! My card has NEVER been skimmed here, the bathrooms are kinda iffy but it's a bar so I let it slide and go before I head there, the karaoke is usually crappy but it'll make you smile. So My husband and I came here for the first time for the burlesque show that's upstairs. So the show starts at 8:15 but they suggest coming in at 7:15. We came at 7:15, ordered some drinks and we decided to keep the tab open. Then my husband decided to close his tab to order more drinks upstairs during the show just to find out that they lost his credit card! The staff just seemed so unorganized. The show also started super late. It was supposed to start by 8:15 but didn't actually start til 8:40! We were also so disappointed to find out that you only see 2 women perform during the 2 hr show. Yes, you read that right just 2 adult performers. 3 if you want to include Delilah, the producer. Who does A LOT of talking during most of the show than actual dancing. The venue is also very small that it gets so packed that if you get stuck sitting in the back you will not be able to see much and the tables are literally right next to each other. This was my first Burlesque show and I was so excited for this experience but it ended up being such a disappointment. We also noticed several people leave the show early. I honestly hate leaving 1 star reviews but it really was a 1 star experience. Hopefully they can get it together. read more

My girlfriend and I have been using Uber Eats to try some new places lately. Tonight, we ordered a meal from the Red Goose Saloon. My lady ordered the sausage plate and I got a chicken sandwich with some amazing bacon on it. Both selections were really enjoyable. The sausage was tender and flavorful, just the right amount of spicy without being overwhelming, and it came with some great sauce. Just the right kind of tangy and spicy. We both loved it. The chicken sandwich was likewise a very nice choice. Juicy tender chicken breast with all the right accouterments. The sides, too, traveled very well and were extremely tasty. The curly fries and beans were both very enjoyable. I wasn't a huge fan of the cole slaw, but there wasn't a problem with it. It's just personal taste. After trying this place via delivery, I really want to seek out the restaurant and eat something there. I have only been here twice and both times the bartender messed up my drink order. The second time I came here the bartender told me the lunch special only came with one side though few days before the bartender told me two sides. The only redeeming factor is that they have a better pulled pork sammy then Risky's. From open till 7 they have a $6 pulled pork sammy lunch special. Depending on the bartender you get 1 to 2 sides. My favorites are the homemade curry fries and coleslaw. I will most likely come back once or twice a week for the food. Small two story bar/restaraunt. We went to a benefit for the fallen DPD officers and enjoy going to somewhere new and seeing the respect they paid to the fallen. There was a table in the front window set for the fallen with a beer and the name of each officer. The bartenders were quick and friendly. They had live music on the friday night that we went downstairs and then it was more rap/club style music upstairs with a dance floor and pool table. They have a kitchen but I didnt have any food, it is an older establishment and I am kinda particular about my food but I am sure it is decent bar food. This is right next door to Reata and close to Uno's pizza. If I were still into going to bars and clubs a lot I would probably try this one out again but I dont make it out very often to places like this anymore. read more

literally the WORST experience I've ever had, the guy was so rude from the beginning. he took our order for food & drinks without reading it back, or acknowledging it for that matter. we go in an hour before close. he gave us our drinks & then gave us our shots 30 minutes later AFTER our food had been sitting in the window. was too concerned closing checks & getting "his first off day in a week" that he never got our food. i went to the bathroom then went to the window & asked if this was what we ordered. he missed half of the order we gave him (someone's entire meal) then after I took it from the window to inform him there was an entire sandwich missing he told me "it was too late." literally the worst bartender I've ever had. was probably high to be honest & surprised he still has a job. the place also looks like it's barely surviving so maybe he's the only help they can get. if you're hungry past 10 order uber. the food also made me sick to my stomach for the past 12 hours. read more

First off, don't let the "Saloon" in the name of this fort worth club and watering hole fool you. This is about as urban as downtown fort worth gets, unfortunately. The Red Goose is an in old, old Red Goose Shoes storefront. The building is pretty interesting, architecturally. But as some have said it does look a little "worn." But "worn," in my book, is just another word for "dive," which is generally an invitation for me to just jump in. As many have already pointed out, this place is two joints in one. I have only ever been to the bottom floor, which is your standard bar with local DJ's filling in some tunes. The real "club" action goes on upstairs. The night I was there the music upstairs was urban/rap, and the crowd were thick. Less so downstairs, but the bar was still full. That being said, the people watching was fun. The drinks were strong and cheap. And I got in free. I've always said I was easy. read more

If you want to hear ratchet music and hold your purse close then this is the place. I don't frequent dives but I've been in my fair share. I can't comment on downstairs because we went up for the music. First of all you do have to wonder if the floor is going to cave in. There was a huge water puddle leaking from the ceiling and they just put a rug down to cover it so it ended up being a wet rug. It's dark everywhere except for the pool table and the dance floor. We went there to dance but not in front of all those suspect characters that were around the wall. The place is smoky and I'm sure you can get a contact high too. A place like this you would expect the drinks to be cheap or nah. The drinks were not cheap at $7.50 for Goose and cranberry. This is the kind of place you expect fights to break out and I was surprised and glad one didn't break out while we were there. It's a duck and dash kind of dive, but if you can dodge the MR (minority report) bar fight on the top floor and stick it out until last call, after hours are negotiable. Learned how to take a rumplemintz shot here, the right way. Ask Austin from Boston (bartender wearing the Red Sox hat) for a specialty, and he'll hook you up. Watch out for the Matt Damon shots, but if Austin gives you one, trust him, you need it! And when I ordered bottled, the bottles were room temperature and this is not because they had recently been placed in the fridge, I was told "the refrigerator doesn't work well." After I got to my hotel room and started to eat I realized the wings were not Asian wings but basic buffalo wings. I know this word gets thrown around a lot but there is only one word to describe Red Goose: ratchet. If you find yourself at Red Goose on the second floor either a) you are ratchet and you know it or b) you have bamboozled into thinking you found a good hip hop bar in downtown Fort Worth. Surprisingly, I've been to Red Goose on at least three different occasions but let me explain. My first venture into Red Goose was during my time as a college student at TCU. There was a coupon (I kid you not) for buy one, get one free entry into Red Goose. Being broke college students, my friends and I decided to check it out. That was several years ago and it actually was not that bad. Fast forward four or five years and it has gone from being a place with decent hip hop music, an easily accessible bar, and decent crowd to being smoke filled and empty. There was a huge spot on the floor where the ceiling that looked like it might cave in at any second was leaking. The dance floor was empty but around the edges were people smoking what appeared to be Black & Mild cigars but smelled like something else if you catch my drift. There was some semblance of a "VIP" area and bottle service but who would want bottle service in such a ratchet place? I did not purchase any cocktails during my last visit but my friends said that they were $7 each. No way! Unless you like ratchet hole in the walls, I would advise that you stay away from Red Goose. read more
