    Lots of fun events here

The Cicada is a great bar and venue in the S Main neighborhood, with good prices, live music, and they host local neighborhood events regularly. They also have two pool tables. Sometimes they are open for free play! But usually it takes quarters. There's a jukebox and Tuesday nights are karoake. The bartenders are always extremely nice, and I have never had a bad experience. It's a bit of a hidden gem, so don't miss out on checking them out!

Fantastic spot! The Cicada in Fort Worth nails it with atmosphere - perfect for a show or just grabbing a casual drink. They've got it all: karaoke, billiards, pool, events, food trucks, etc. The alt scene's go-to place. Highly recommended

The subtitles above the stage made it much easier to follow along with what was being sung, which really enhanced the experience. The atmosphere was perfect for an afternoon performance, and it was nice that drinks were available. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout. We sat in the upper section, and it did get a little warm--but considering it was a full house, it was understandable. Overall, it was a beautiful performance and a great experience.

Set design, costumes, choreography, singing, music, acting were all top notch. Some of the things you should know before you go. 1) Parking can be a challenge because they don't have their own garage. There are several garages nearby (about a block walking distance), but you will want to arrive really early to make sure you have time to find a space, make your way to the theater, and find your seat before the show starts. We were coming from Richardson, so we knew we would need over an hour to travel there, but because of the parking situation, we left even earlier at 11:30 am for a 1:30pm show time start. 2) The building is quite modern. They have several entrances, but you may be asked to wait on the street in the elements before they open the doors and start scanning tickets. Be prepared to stand in the elements. 3) The seats are quite narrow and the arm rest is shared with your seat mate. If you are an average sized American, you might find the average seats quite uncomfortable. The person next to me was blubbering through her seat into mine. She was also very enthusiastic tapping along with the beat. Both things were unpleasant for me. There are box seats that have independent chairs. If I return to this venue, I will pay for one of these to avoid feeling like a sardine. They have an amazing line up of shows. I wish they were closer because I would definitely be a season ticket holder so that I could enjoy every single one of their amazing shows.

I am so excited to come back and try the Reuben, yes we eat sauerkraut over here. Service - I came right in between shift change, so Garrett was our bartender and she was phenomenal. She was so inviting friendly, great conversationalist, and knowledgeable. You could tell that she loved working at the post. Having a bartender like her guarantees that I will come back and I want to bring everyone here. Greeting - when I first entered it appeared that a server was at the host stand, and she was so inviting even when I said I was just going to sit at the bar. How you get greeted at a restaurant is your first impression and every single person made me feel welcome especially coming in as a party of one. The drinks are absolutely phenomenal and it looks like they have performances quite often as band members were coming in to get set up for a performance. When it's not a real feel of 115°, the patio is going to be completely full, it's an amazing setup it's giving beer garden vibes.

They don't have a full kitchen but considering, they made delicious soups and sandwiches for us. I had the green pozole and the Reuben which were both great. It was super quiet when we went, probably due to the cold weather on a weeknight but we had some heaters which meant we could sit outside. I'd love to come back in the summer or when they have a live band playing. A great little spot.

That visit we had an off putting initial exchange with the guy doing check in; who told my kid to throw away their plastic water bottle. I offered to put it in my bag cause they needed it for some medications theg were taking at the time but the only options was leave it at the bar, toss it, or take it to the car and get a free water from the food station. I get not wanting spills but both the cider cups and water cups offer no lids and my kids water had a lid and could go in a bag. I think we caught this guy on a bad day because we have not had that issue again. Though we learned our lesson and if we had a water we stuck it in my bag. At another locations they explained they are actually fine with water bottles ... They ask just don't be obvious about it...just don't want people bringing in things like starbucks drinks or sonic drinks that take away from their drink sales or could be sneaking in something that could cost them their serving license. It was a sold out show, but it was cool that they released tickets the day-of, it was really helpful! About the venue's location, there's plenty of parking which is great. It is at the outskirts of Fort Worth, I was assuming it was near the Downtown district. However, it's a quiet area. Make sure to get food before, as there aren't too many immediate places to grab food before the shoe. Regarding the venue, it's small and intimate. It has a dive-bar feel, but it is pretty unique. There's a record shop at the back where you can shop before and during the show. The vibes were really cool, and the venue is pretty unique. I've been to thousands of shows and hundreds of venues across the country, and definitely have no reservations recommending this venue. Perfect size, and the sound quality was solid. I only wish there were more food options in and around the venue.

It says a great deal about a business that will host a political event so kindly. In addition to providing the space, they also had beverages for sale, and the gentleman serving was very personable. The place, despite being packed with individuals ready to see positive change in the world, was well air conditioned on this hot Texas day. Parking was acceptable, with a lot beside the venue as well as street parking alongside. For a bar, the restrooms were very clean. The place was well maintained. Pool tables were aplenty. Seating and standing room, A+. I will certainly return to this venue for a non-political event, and I cannot say "thank you" enough for hosting this organizing event. Beto for Texas, 2018!
