Excellent pizza. Loaded with toppings. Look at the picture, try to count them. Crispy crust, good amount of sauce, and not too much cheese. Each hefty piece dropped toppings as you pick it up. Caution, if you try to sneak a piece before you get back home, you'll find remnants of it in your car and probably on your clothes. I was in town visiting my family and we were on the hunt for a quick and easy dinner. They told me how much they love Ambler Pizza, so I was sold. We ordered a few pizzas, wings, and salads to share, and I also got a burger. We ordered delivery and everything arrived in a timely manner and was still nice and hot. As expected, we enjoyed all of the food. The salads are large, full of flavor, easy to customize as needed, and are great for one large meal on your own or to share. They send plenty of dressing to go around too. The garlic butter wings were good. I think they could have used a bit more garlic and I would've loved them. For that reason alone, I preferred the mild buffalo wings (which my family says weren't mild to them, but I thought they were good). And the burger wasn't the greatest I've had, but it still hit the spot. I definitely recommend this place. Was up here from Florida. Just before we were scheduled to leave realized never had chance to try a philly cheese steak or local pizza. Found Ambler's pizza a new miles from where we were staying. It was fantastic. Our friends back home were right. We don't get food this good at our local pizzareas in Palm coast Florida. Great food and quick service. Definitely recommend them if in Ambler. I came to Philly and wanted to try a cheesesteak so I was told I should come to Ambler Pizza! I got the Super Cheesesteak without mushrooms and it was good! As a non-Philly native, I was told (by my friend) that I was ordering wrong and cheesesteaks don't need marinara, but I didn't listen and got one with it anyway. I think my friend was right, although it was good, I like the parts of the sandwich that didn't have the marinara and I dipped it in the whiz instead and it was bomb! Coming from out of state I thought it would be smaller ordering the regular but the regular was still like a foot long and hella meaty, so that was a pleasant surprise! Plenty of food without chips (or for a second meal)! The inside that I saw was small but made it feel like a family vibe, as you can see on the wall it says Family First. Small roadside pizza and sandwich joint. We picked up take out to bring to my father-in-Laws assisted living residence up the street. I had the wife and two kids plus the father-in-law's meals. The gentlemen taking the order was patient and quick. The food came pretty quickly for 5 orders. It was packaged and bagged nicely to go. I had the Italian hoagie, which I'd give a "B" grade for taste, but an "A" for size. It was huge. My father-in-law had a traditional Philly Cheesesteak, which he thoroughly enjoyed. My son had the ravioli who too enjoyed. It seems the food was good. I'd give it a thumbs up on take out. I'm not sure about dine in. We sat down and the waitress promptly brought out some hot and fresh complimentary rolls with an olive oil dip-this was actually very good. We ordered a regular Nicks Favorite (sharp provolone, broccoli rabe and steak sub) and a small tomato pie. When the sub came out, the meat was a little dry, but the sharp provolone and broccoli rabe together was good. Now the tomato pie on the other hand... it was incredibly fresh tasting and the combo they made was just overwhelming and delicious. I will definitely be back for more-and it's very reasonably priced. Overall, for a place with an extremely extensive menu, I wasn't expecting the quality I received, so-Bravo! read more

Oh Well! Made a big mistake again going back to AMBLER PIZZA! As usual you think the next time you go back it will be better, however they just find some way to SCREW IT UP! Maybe they just don't care about us, the patrons? Well this time I'M Done! You lost my business and here's why! Maybe they should worry more about how to give good food and service before asking for a TIP! That seems to be the most important opening when calling them! See you get tips for service...usual good food and service but Ambler Pizza doesn't get that! What a joke! When you pull up at this restaurant how many times do you have to remind yourself to check and get all the food? Isn't that their job? They don't think so? They don't allow you in so that's one less thing they have to worry about! OK so I went back to pick up my food they forgot...that happens I guess? But the food quality had issues! And that's not my first time with that. The cucumbers in the salad were slimy. That really starts to worry me. There was also a funny smell in the meatballs! Do I need to go on? I am so disappointed that they get away with the issues that happen over and over again. Stopped in today, ordered a couple of slices and beverages from the very bubbly, positive young lady working the register. Knowing that I was driving home some distance away, I asked for, and she acknowledged, a box. I bought a bunch of drinks and some beer totaling $27, I added another $3 tip for basically taking my order. After a bit an older guy (an owner?) comes out with a greasy bag and says "Two slices?" and i said "Where's my box?" He said they won't do a box for small orders so here it is. I have a nice car, and the last thing I want is Ambler Pizza grease from the cheap cheese on my seats. So sad to have this Tiny Brain mentality in my day. I ended up with the slices in my trunk. While in the area today I stopped at Ambler pizza for a quick bite. The restaurant is nice and has a large seating area, along with a private room for parties. Nobody was dining in but the guys making pizza were sure busy. It took a good 10 minutes to place my order. I went with fries and a pizza steak. The pizza looked really good though. First the fries. They were terrible! No seasoning and beyond bland. They were also coated and I hate that. The pizza steak though was good. The steak wasn't dry and cheese ratio was spot on. The roll was fantastic but did get a bit soggy from the sauce. Overall though it was a solid pizza steak. The staff were also extremely friendly. I've been here on two occasions, both around lunch time. The staff is extremely friendly and the Owner seems to be very family oriented which is appreciated. Their salads are huge, hearty and extremely delicious. The Hoagies here are made to perfection. The ingredients are fresh! My kids love their pizza here as well. I love that you can order by the slice if you wish or the entire pie. The added chalk board for kids to doodle on is also another bonus.
