I've gone to the Pizza Box a number of times over the years. Its location at an end of the main drag of Butler Pike in Ambler, complete with a parking lot, makes it a convenient stop. Their pizza is good. If you want pizza and they're convenient to you, you should try theirs. You'll have a good meal. If you're looking for the best pizza within a fifteen mile radius, there's an embarrassment of riches. So many places with excellent pizza where some of it comes down to taste, but you won't be super disappointed with theirs. The service is solid. Pizza is ready on time. I ordered a square Marguerite pizza for take out. While the pizza was "OK", it was obvious that the crust was not freshly made. It was stale. also the pizza had a lot of spice, not normal for this type of pizza, my guess is they were perhaps trying to cover up the stale crust. I got these pizzas before quarantine and they were so sweet. Best service. My friend forgot his card and they were kind enough to have him pick up the pizza and pay when he got back by calling and giving him the card info. Besides that, the food was amazing! We got their cheese pizza and it was pretty good but their Robert Deniro pizza, was amazing! That pizza was a stuffed pizza (I know calzone on steroids) and was super cheesy. I didn't get a chance to try their pizza because I was working and wouldn't have been able to get any work done. I did try their Italian hoagie. It was full of meat, the roll was ok and they used balsamic vinegar and not red wine vinegar. This totally changes the flavor so it wasn't something I would get again. Even though I didn't try their pizza it looked awesome. They had a plethora of specialty pizzas that you could try by the slice. The staff was very friendly and also provided samples of their chicken guacamole wrap. The wrap was very good and I will get it for lunch at some point. I just picked up a cheese steak today, August, 20, 2021 and my review isn't on the quality of the food but on what they charged. They nickel and dime me on add on's such as fried onions, hot peppers and added some kind of a bogus non cash charge of $.50 in which they had no signs in the establishment for. This kind of overcharging is very disconcerting and dishonest. It's not so much the money but the principal that is disconcerting. I have been going to the Pizza Box since I was kid but they lost a customer today! I supported them during the heart of the pandemic but I am done! I just have no tolerance for being taken advantage of. I hope that couple of dollars that they stole from is worth losing a customer. read more

My best friend and I did a takeout of their margherita pizza and were not disappointed. The crush is just the right texture to have a crispy bottom yet soft top. The pizza itself was delicious. The sauce tasted homemade - sweet . The fresh mozzarella and basil just complimented the pie even more. If you are in the neighborhood, stop in or take a pie to go. So happy they opened a Pizza Box in Ambler since I had to deal with the heartache of Volare Pizza closing. Where do I start? Their Sicilian is bomb and so is the Stallone. I've also had their wings, which are super crispy, and their cheesesteak hoagie, which had a great roll. Staff is friendly but i have only done take out and haven't just gone in for a slice yet! Speaking of! They have a lot of different options if you wanna just go in and grab a slice or two of pizza. That said, they don't offer delivery, which isn't end of the world. I'll make the trip for their food. It's great to have a new and delicious option for pizza in Ambler! My new go to spot! read more
