This salon saved my hair two weeks ago! My usual salon cancelled on me last minute for an up-do. I was speaking at a formal gala that evening. I called the salon and they were kind enough to have someone come in earlier to do my hair for me. I am so grateful! And to top it off, my hair looked fantastic!!! I don't even know how to start this review since I had the most amazing experience with Cristina last Friday. It was my wedding day and I booked Cristina to come to my place, she was very punctual and had a big smile on her face. She made an up-do on my mother-in-law and after she finish, she started mine. Always on time, she listened to what I had to say and had lots of ideas. I loved the final result, the braid that I have was the most beautiful that I have ever seen. Now, this is the best part: The makeup artist that I have booked didn't show up. With that Cristina suggested that she could do the makeup with my own products (since she didn't bring her makeup because she would help just with the hair) - A PROBLEM SOLVER. She did MAGIC, with poor products that I have she could do an awesome makeup that I could not believe. Really, she barely had a brush to put the eye shadow. Cristina is that kind of professional that you have to have by your side. She will do always her best to let you happy. She made my day perfect, she rocks!!! I can't say enough good things about Ambiance and Cristina. In February I went for my trial hair and makeup for my September wedding. I could not believe it was even my hair. It looked so GOOD and my makeup was exactly how I envisioned. She transformed me into a bombshell. I can't wait for her to do my hair and makeup on my wedding day. I did a microdermabrasion treatment and have resolved to go once a month now. The esthetician, who I believe is also co-owner, was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and gave me a bomb a** facial. She made sure to ask me throughout if I was comfortable with the heat of the steamer or if I was in too much pain to let her know. But I could tell she was an expert and it wasn't that painful really. She was about as gentle as one could be when they squeeze out all your pores and scrape off your dead skin. It's only been two days but my skin is looking really smooth, revitalized, and I'm so happy. They did not in any way try to sneak in any extra costs or pressure me in to additional services. I feel I got quite a lot for the value, I bought the voucher on Groupon which included a cleansing, a walnut scrub, probably another cleansing, the actual microdermabrasion, then a mask. I will absolutely go back and make this part of my monthly self-care regimen. read more

I just had a wedding hair trial with Cristina and she's amazing! Super nice and extremely affordable. I was majorly late for my appointment and she was so sweet and still finished my hair on time. I just showed her a picture of what I wanted and she made it even prettier than the picture. She really took a look at my face and the texture of my hair, and worked with it to create something suitable and beautiful on me. Plus, the style held for literally days! I experimented and left everything as is when I went to bed. When I woke up, it was still all in place, a little frizzy because I tossed and turned, but shape, pinning, and curls were in tact. Kristina (the owner) is always polite, very friendly and professional. I can also recommend the facial that she makes. I needed someone to braid my hair in an updo based on a picture I had to prepare me for some intense gym training while being presentable in an office work environment.
