My tech was a complete jerk to me to the point I CRIED in the salon and he asks me "what's wrong?" My nails are so ugly and he never asked me what length or shape I wanted, after I communicated I wanted oval he gave me round and the proceeded to yell at me because I said they were round and not oval. I visited while in town based on my niece's recommendation for a simple gel manicure. From the start it felt uncomfortable because the technician hovered over me while I was picking a color even after I said I just needed a minute. During the manicure I had to ask several times for polish cleanup and cuticle trimming and he eventually told me to just go to someone else. I am not someone who gets upset easily but I left feeling embarrassed and emotional. I still tipped well and left quietly but it was a strange and upsetting experience. I've been coming to this location for years. I had spent massive amount of money in this location and now they are trying to stop me from coming to the location because I gave my honest opinion about the service that they provided. There has been two incidents with the service. One thing that my nail broke. The other one is the technician stabs your fingers as he's preparing your fingernails that can cause infections, but they denied me service because of something their technicians have done. read more

Nail tech nicked me to bleeding, twice. Then one nail broke after 8 days but I couldn't come in, second one broke on the 10th day and when I called they said they would charge me to fix it. It's a chop shop nail salon and the work is mediocre. I actually went back to ask for the manager to shape them for me but unfortunately the acrylic was done sloppy so no amount of her filing would help unless she was going to redo the top layer (which she wasn't). The first picture is the nails asymmetrical the rest of the pictures are after the manager tried to gaslight me into thinking she had fixed them today. Should've had them take the whole set off. If you don't care about your nails too much and are okay with not being picky on how great they look then go here. I'd recommend literally any other place in cincinnati. read more

First off, I'm a late middle aged guy with Fred Flintstone feet, keep that in mind while reading this. My wife told me a few days ago WE were getting a pedicure today. I've had a few over the years and given my feet are anything but photo ready, probably not even sandal ready, I agreed. Note to any spouse or partner out there, always agree to such requests, it will make your life much easier. Anyway, my feet are a mess, if I didn't already make that clear. Jessica was the master technician tasked with taming my feet. . She did an excellent job and while I'm not yet camera ready, my feet look and feel better. Sorry, there are no pics for the old dude foot fetish folks. I took away a star because as good as my feet are, Jessica was quite bossy. More bossy than necessary. Almost like she didn't want to deal with a chubby 60 year old white guy. Having your feet and calves "rejuvenated" is almost an intimate experience. Perhaps some small talk or at least an acknowledgment when spoken to is in order. Bottom line, I'll likely go back. Good job on my feet. Be aware, no tips on credit cards, so bring cash for that. Of the 3 Ambiance locations in the Oakley/Hyde Park area, this one is my favorite. They have the best location and parking situation. It's the smallest of the 3, so for that reason I recommend making an appointment rather than being a walk-in. Depending on which technician you get will determine the quality of service, but the man I got today did an excellent job. I only got a basic pedicure, but it was one of the best ones I have have. I've also gotten gel and dip nails done in the past, and those typically are good as well. read more

I really like my tech there and the fact that they don't push me like other locations do the minute I walk in the door to know what color I want. The one complaint I have is that I do not enjoy the way that my acrylic nails were removed! The tech took nail tips to remove the acrylic and tear them off. No acetone, no grinding just tearing for the most part. This did a lot of damage to my nails. I have been other places and this is not how acrylic nails have been removed in the gentler way. read more

I have been to many locations and it's always been hit or miss. When I first started coming the consistency in quality was good but now not so much. From shape being off to no chip not lasting a week. I'm sure I could find someone I like and request them each time but I think anyone I go to should do the same quality of work. This was my first time ever at Ambiance. I got a fill in with gel polish. Which was quoted 47 on their site. So I went in with only 2 weeks since my last full set. I asked he file them a bit shorter since i work in a kitchen and they were just a bit too long. He barely filed them down. He acted annoyed and rushed me. He also charged me an extra 10 dollars to take a bit of length off (which i said was perfectly fine) But the sign at the front said CASH ONLY TIPS So i took 80 out of the ATM on site The whole appointment was a total of $58 I handed him $80 and said I would like the change for a tip He put it all in his shirt, walked away and said thank you, see you next time and went on to his next appointment. So he basically took a 23 dollar tip from me. It was kind of awkward and I didnt know how to handle it. I feel like I was not heard and ripped off. I am not accustomed to gel, but removal didn't sound bad from what I researched. Protecting cuticles, adding cotton soaked in Acetone over nails and wrapping them for 10 minutes to pull the gel off. My experience was not pleasant. The gel was sanded off between one minute dips in what I assume was Acetone (which I hope was not as it probably did damage on the skin around my fingernails, as well). Now my nails are rough and gross looking. The clear top coat after the sanding helped to add shine, but it still looks terrible. I left upset with eyes full of my gel polish dust. read more

I was really looking forward to getting my nails done here because it has 4.8 stars under Google reviews. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. My technician was rushing the whole time. I got a pedi and full set of acrylic. They look okay, but not worth $115. Average work, which I wouldn't mind but for the bad customer service. As soon as she finished, she rushed me to the front to pay. I didn't even get a chance to put my shoes/socks on. I had to to that AFTER I paid, at the entrance. No people were waiting for service so I don't know what was the rush. Overall: average work + bad customer service is not worth paying extra for a nice-looking salon. read more

I have a couple of nail salons that I frequent, all depending on my schedule and location for the day. This Ambiance location tends to be my after church salon since it is located right across the street from Crossroads Oakley. I love the comfort of the salon from the high quality pedicure chairs to the cold bottles of water that are provided at the beginning of the service. The salon is beautifully decorated and I personally like coming here because I get SNS and they have LOADS of colors! They always play hip music, but it's not too obtrusive. Despite the fact that they are already busy, I've never had to wait for very long. The techs I get always take their time and offer to fix any issues within 7 days of service. They prefer cash, and will give a 5% discount for using it vs credit cards. Though this is the most expensive salon of the ones I frequent, I know I'll be getting quality work for what I'm paying. They do have an ATM on site with a modest fee if needed. *They have guest WiFi available if needed read more

I've come to the Oakley location a few times and I usually get a basic manicure for an occasion. I've typically not had an issue, but I can't recommend Andy as a technician. I went in yesterday to get a basic manicure for a work trip. I've had enough manicures to know that since I'm not in enough, I need all of the tools used when I am. He did not push my cuticles back at all before trimming. I had brought my own nail polish so that I could do any touch ups if needed while away. He dropped the bottle, causing nail polish to fly everywhere. An accident that I really was not upset about but then I wonder if he was nervous or rushed because of it and used too much polish. This caused my nails to be wet for several hours (and consequently get smudged), and also dry with separation at the base. I had no time to go back, as I had to leave for the flight first thing in the morning. I'm disappointed and though it was only a basic manicure, I'll have to redo the paint, which means that I did not get my money's worth. read more

There are so many things I love about this Salon. The first is how clean the salon is. The staff is friendly and professional as well. There are so many colors and options. I always see Lynn and get an SNS mani and a regular pedicure. If you have other things to do that day I would make an appointment because they are busy, which speaks to the quality of service they provide. Note that: They only take cash tips so be prepared for that and when you pay for your service cash is preferable and you have a 5% discount on your total when you do use cash vs card. I've never had a problem here before but the last time I got my nails I got gelx every day since I've got them film that resembles the mold that grows on old lipstick has been growing on the back of my nails I came back in they just tried to file it down.
