Not sure why all the negative reviews. I have nothing but positive experiences. The food is low price, high quality and produce is always fresh. Tried delivery a few times and it was also an excellent experience. Lastly every cashier and/ or worker has always been quite helpful. Don't want to interact with cashers etc they have self check out lanes as well as carts. What I have seen an uptick when checking out is very rude, demeaning entitled customer totally mistreating cashiers. Been to this store many times. I don't get the hate, but then also don't understand why anyone would go to checkout here when you can use the tech cart to "just walk out" (well, you have to check out with the cart which takes about 10-15s). This is the major game changer for someone like me that hates waiting in line at the grocery store. That alone warrants 3.5 of the 5 stars. I don't buy exotic items and Fresh offers most of what I need weekly. Produce is generally good/fresh, but the few times I've discovered something bad, I can log onto my Amazon account and get refunded! There are also really good deals most visits. Staff is super friendly and helpful. You can do your Amazon returns here too! The main Con is that they don't have the expansive selection you would get at Jewel or Marianos (still way better than Target or Walmart though), so if you have very specific brands or items, they may not be here. I basically refuse to go to other grocers unless I need those specific items because I save so much time shopping at Fresh. The main differentiator is the tech and time savings! read more

My shopping experience started out pleasant in Naperville with a wonderful greeter who gave insider information about a QR coupon since I was returning an Amazon package and it was my first time shopping in-person. However, in self-checkout, there was much to be desired. All transactions were paid successfully and cleared then the kiosk went offline shortly after, and an attendant was needed. One purchase was paid with an EBT card (due to SEVERE IDENTITY THEFT that I'm enduring). The other, was paid with a personal debit card. The attendant was SO LOUD and sharing with the manager that the purchase was made with an EBT card. People began to look at her with a frown. I am OK with using my EBT card. This unfortunate phase will not last forever. However, it's THIS PART--- Maybe it did not "go through," as she assumed this and stated repeatedly. I assured her the second purchase could not be made if that initial purchase was not cleared. The manager had me call to ensure the transaction was cleared before he voided the transaction on the machine. It was cleared. Both transactions were cleared which means the goods were PAID IN FULL. So, why were the transactions voided, and why was the female attendant still stating the transaction was not cleared, as she was trying to escort me to a line for me to pay for these items AGAIN? You make your own inferences. NEVER have I had such a CRAZY experience such as this! They wanted me to go to the traditional checkout line and get charged again, but I had a better idea---I gave them all of my bagged goods and walked out of the store with THE BIGGEST SMILE as I shared that I will gladly give my business to Walmart, Whole Foods, or Meijer where I am treated with respect and dignity with or without an EBT card as I should. Very techy, place is clean, staff are friendly, it's a normal shopping center with high tech push carts and an Alexas to ask if you need anything. If I will come back in a rush the techy cart is not a good option (for me) it's just too much. I rarely ever come but last time I'll probably ever shop. Older staff member decided to walk by me and not help me to get produce I found in a box that wasn't on display since there was a poor variety available, then, not until I exited birated me on grabbing it. Easily could've helped me but instead said it was my fault. If you walked by and saw, could've helped me yourself. Laughed at number of items i purchased for no reason as well and wanted to help fulfill my purchase when I was the one who had to help him figure out the screen. read more

My parents were thrilled because this place kept sending them enticing coupons when it opened so they visited a number of times. I've been slower to be lured in because I hate self checkout at regular stores, so anything all automated seems like it's going to have the likelihood to not work. This happened to my dad, who said among his groceries he bought a box of croissants. When he got home he saw that croissants were not on his receipt but seedless watermelon was (which he did not buy). They were apparently the same price, but if purchases are helping to dictate what gets restocked/ordered, then selling the wrong item, even if it costs the same, is going to cause problems for the back end. Good to have something in the long-empty Dominick's, at least, but I'm not thrilled with Amazon. read more

Ugh, I really wanted to love this place. We used to shop here ALL THE TIME when it first opened, but guys... it's gone downhill so fast I can't even. Let me tell you about my last few visits (or why I stopped going). The produce section is basically where fruits and vegetables go to die. I've lost count of how many times I've picked up "fresh" strawberries only to find fuzzy friends growing on them the next day. And don't even get me started on their organic blueberries - they taste like someone decided to give them a chemical bath. Seriously, who wants their breakfast to taste like Windex?! The real kicker? I've gotten burned multiple times buying vitamins and over-the-counter meds here. Picture this: you get home, open your bag, and surprise! The stuff expired THREE MONTHS ago. Cool cool cool... Like, do they not have anyone checking expiration dates? And if you think delivery is any better, LOL NOPE. It's like they have a special radar for finding the items that are about to expire. "Oh, you ordered milk? Here's one that'll go bad tomorrow!" Thanks guys, super helpful. I kept giving them chances (shame on me), but I'm done. There are way too many other grocery options around to deal with this nonsense. Save yourself the headache and shop literally anywhere else. Pros: Ummm... the parking lot is nice? Clean store. A lot of items to choose from. I haven't been there in a while and MK (hope I'm spelling that right!) up front was incredibly helpful. Super sweet and very knowledgeable. Started my shopping at 4pm. Interesting process for self-checkout. A bit of a learning curve the first time, but the second time should be a breeze. Unfortunately there is not a manual scanner on the self-check cart so if the cart does not read the item you put in the basket then you have to type in the code (produce etc) The weighing process for produce (putting the item into your cart to have it weighed) was not clear and produce workers were busy filling cubside checkout bags and non-interested in my questions. You type in the code and then put the item in the cart to see the weight & price. A high percentage of items were not stocked, although there were tags for their spot in the aisle. Also this is not like a regular grocery store like Whole Foods where you have a lot of variety. Although I found a few items I haven't seen elsewhere so that was a happy surprise. The store is clean and well-lit but there are more workers then usual filling orders for online or curbside customers. At least three or four workers per aisle! Aisles are a bit narrow and with workers and their carts plus shoppers and their carts it created quite a traffic jam at times! All the hot food items looked tasty and properly maintained. There were dinner entres, a pizza area, soups, salads and prime rib carving station. Prices were about the same as Whole Foods. There was some difficulty using an online coupon from Amazon for an item and I had to go through regular checkout instead of self checkout or it couldn't be used. I can see this being a good option for a quick run but I wouldn't use Amazon Fresh for my weekly shopping. read more

In the most technologically advanced store in the country, the least technologically advanced restroom . There are not even sensors at all. 4 stars for technology. But the store itself is not very good yet. The assortment is scarce, at the entrance there is a person who helps to figure out how it all works, but even he did not find the QR code in the menu the first time so I could start shopping. The interface is not intuitive. Not all products were identified at the first try. At the exit from the store, there was some kind of technical error, so I also had to call an employee. I would rate it 3 stars, but I will add one because this is something new and generally comfortable. read more

What a bad experience and felt like an idiot going here today. We were shopping for our usual weekend groceries, my husband told me the avocados are on sale at $.33/each and picked out 3 of those. As I was passing the avocado, I stopped and admiring how good/firm and large those avocados were comparing to the last few weeks. There was an Asian guy with glasses appear to be the store manager approaching us, my husband said hi to him and asked if he's the manager as his picture was featured on the newspaper add, he nodded and the first thing that came out of this guy's mouth was "you are limited to 6 avocados per person!". My husband and I looked at each other and was like "what the hell! Did we asked him anything about avocado nor did we stuffed ourselves with avocados for that guy to say that. We were like "oh, okay" and continue to look around the store for more stuff, never feel so awkward, confused and insulted for buying groceries. I felt like a thieve or something. I understand with deals like this, they don't want people to wipe out the entire stock, there are ways to do this, put a damn sign next to it! Instead, he responded to a greeting by telling us the limited amount of avocados we can get. I crossed him a couple times after that, I gave him a dead stare and he kept looking at us like we were going to take all the avocados or something. What the heck! Amazon Fresh have some decents discount on some stuffs but not all are as fresh, there are plus and minus. With this experience, I don't think we're going there again. They're trying to revamp this store by re-grand opening, what they really need is a good, quality store manager and the rest will follow. read more

I stopped in here cause I was at Hallmark a couple doors down. I literally needed just a couple of things. I wasn't sure how this all worked as a friend said you order ahead and then just pick up. I didn't know if I needed a membership or if they even had checkout lanes- which they did. I did see a lot of people walking in and just picking up. This would be great if you knew exactly what you needed. I do like to see my produce items prior but maybe this is a new learning curve?? All the store associates seemed very friendly and willing to assist you. I was very impressed to see as soon and I walked in I was offered a new Coca-Cola coffee energy drink- yep I'll definitely take one of those! I did see a few other special stands with other giveaways but didn't really stop to take advantage of all those. I was given a $10 off $30 coupon for the new shopping experience. I'm soooo over going to Jewel for our weekly grocery needs. I'd love to see how their rotisserie chickens are and try some other deli items. Next time cause I will definitely be back soon! What should i say about this experience! So so so unique.. i wish we have one in FW soon. The carts have a scanner, you scan amazon fresh bar code from app. And then each item you put in ur cart is read the sensor/scanner installed on all 4 sides of the cart... if you take out the item is removed as well, i need to getbused to it if i go Amazon Fresh regularly. Store looks like Whole foods, lot of ready to eat food as well. Very pleasant experience. Once you are done, head out. Your cart will stil be checked by associate and you will be given the bill. Also, you cannot take carts outside the store as i was told by associate that each cart is almost $50,000. And i saw atleast 20 carts there! Imagine the investment !! You would hope common sense came with the person who puts your order together but it doesn't come with the job. I ordered white sourdough and got rye instead? Umm....how about you substitute it for another white bread?! Really brown rye bread was chosen??? I ordered chocolate chip frozen waffles and got strawberry. No these are not the same flavor... Plain should have been substituted. I asked for pulp free orange juice and strawberries and even though they are in stock since they weren't the brand of choice they would rather bring me NOTHING Oh and the best part, nobody contacted me by text or email to ask about substitutions. My wife couldn't find an item that is normally stocked and asked an associate if he could check the back room to see if there were any more that hasn't been restocked on the shelves yet. The associate said no, he couldn't do it. When she got home and I tried to call the store to speak to a manager, the phone number was for the general Amazon customer service line. Little disappointed! We live right off of 95th so we drive by often and notice the parking lot is always packed. I get it since it's a new shopping experience everybody wants to shop there. My husband went on a Monday to make a Amazon return. He walked around just to get a sense of the place but we didn't really need anything that time. Today (Sunday) I decided to order in advance and pick up the order but most of the items I needed were out of stock. My husband offered to go in and get the items since he wanted an excuse to shop there. He said it was a mad house. Indeed most of the items we needed were out of stock. They have so many employees shopping for the on-line orders you are competing with them. They aren't really there to help you out. He left and went to Jewel. This is an overall meh store. We waited about 10 minutes in line to get in. Inside is very clean and very average. They had a couple of loss leader items like .97 boxes of Annie's macaroni and cheese and $2.99 for 24 cans of Coca Cola. The prices are very comparable to area grocers. This place is basically a small hybrid between Jewel/Marianos and Whole Foods. You can get Kellogg's pop tarts and Natures Path oat meal. They also carry some of the Whole365 line. Produce section was very average. Bakery didn't look fresh. Deli salads looked average. There's really nothing great about this store. I'll only shop here if I need to run into a grocery for a quick item and this place was a block away from wherever I was located. So disappointed in the store. Prices are comparable to that of Jewel or Meier. Limited fresh fruits and vegetables. The isles are more narrow, and no one is following the flow of the store, which makes putting two carts in an isle very crowded. I believe the premise of this new format of a grocery store is to order online and have someone gather your groceries with and without delivery. As such, I can't tell you how often I felt like I was being run down by these "packers" who are gathering someone's grocery list. There were more employees than shoppers at the time I went. I suppose if you can't get to the store yourself, you don't have a car or unable to shop for yourself, this service is good. Everyday shopping for groceries for me will be someplace else. read more

We ordered delivery from this store multiple times last year prior to the storefront being opened. Each time, quality was great. Ever since the store opened, every delivery order has been horrible. Rotten strawberries, smashed bread in the the same bag as heavy cans and bottles, punctured tomatoes, and packaged food consistently 2 days from expiration. The only thing good about the delivery is the packaging which has not degraded in quality. read more

Based on our use of Amazon Fresh since the pandemic, I would have to say for delivery of groceries.......they did a pretty good job minus a few mishaps along the way for the last 17 months. Ordering online and having an Amazon Prime account saved us a lot of money. I will say this for the grocery delivery part of Amazon....they have 2 selections to choose from. Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods. Amazon Fresh whenever there was a mistake made, they were happy to refund your money once you explained what happened. One time the delivery guy gave us several bags of someone else's groceries and the other customer got ours. It was difficult because we always receive our groceries here in Chicago at 6am. We did not have food to feed everyone once this mistake was made so they refunded our money and we had to get the delivery all over again, but I still say for all that we all have gone through in the last 17 months since the pandemic....they are still pretty good. I second the other post stating that I felt very meh about this store. The employees were great and the dash cart was fun to use. I simply don't see what the purpose of this store is. The selection is too limited to use as your only shopping trip yet the prices are high enough that you may as well go to Meijer or Wal-Mart and get everything you need. As a major ALDI fan, I have to say I was surprised by those who said they should be fearful of this store opening. Maybe I am missing something, but the price difference is so great to me, it seems like two completely different consumer markets would be patronizing these stores. read more

The customer service in this location is simply the worst. Managers or supervisors are a joke. For example on this last trip, after waiting in line for several minutes while they try running a card in a machine that clearing not going to work, the manager just opened another lane while we waited as they tried the card over and over. When I finally took my stuff off the belt and stepped in to another aisle the cashier walked away and started trying to deal with the credit card instead of checking me out. Several customers who got in one after I did were already gone. Not the first time I have been treated so poorly by this mediocre staff, so shame on me for going back. Oh, and there is no direct contact to the store...so resolution is through Amazon but because I didn't purchase anything, Amazon won't speak to me. read more

This the worst place for grocery shopping! They advertise sale items and they are not in the store during the sale. In addition all other items are overpriced and not available. Many items are on on sale but you need to see if you are charged the regular price because many times the sale price does not come up when checking out. There are no rain checks for times that are on sale not available and the advertisement flier does not say limited supply.. The manager will give you a number to call Amazon customer service about these issues and they say they don't know why they told you to call customer service. The inventory of items is always low. Jewel across the street has the inventory. So disappointed. It is not worth shopping here and getting poor customer service and paying a higher price. 1 read more
