Goodbye Amazon Fresh!!!! I'll miss you! I heard that March 13, 2026 will be the last day and this location along with all other CA locations will be closed for good. I shop here a LOTS because it's so convenient with shipping my items here and returning and able to buy small amounts of food so they stay fresh. I bought tons of organic fruits tonight because they were only around $1/lb! Cannot find that anywhere! I love their coupons! I actually only shop here because of the coupon discounts which made it worth it. This has been one of the best supermarkets around here especially when they have 5% PRIME credit card along with $2-$12 off. They had so many events in the last 4 years. I stopped by since I heard it was closing soon and it was so sad to see all the empty aisles :( there are lots of sales going on but some items are not in the correct place so make sure to read the item description on the yellow sticker to make sure it's the price for the right item. Also just FYI I was hoping I could eat at the hot bar one last time but they stopped doing the hot bar completely. I will miss this Amazon Fresh so much! I come here more frequently to return Amazon products than to shop here. As their returns department is quite well staff and my returns are handled fast and I get the refund majority of the time within a day. I also shop here for produce and frozen items. However, I have found that other grocery stores are cheaper when they have a sale. I do like the hot foods, sushi, and pizza section as it is always made fresh. However, they do have a window of time where there is decrease amount of people eating (around 2-4pm) so if you come around that time, the hot foods sections aren't as fresh or replenished. I had a few times where some items didn't have a price or have the correct price when rung up at the registers. I seldom buy lettuce or vegetables here as I have found them to be not fresh. The bagged salads sometimes have brown lettuce in them. I used to like their cart system, however have also found it troublesome as sometimes it capture additional items that I didn't scan. Some flaw with their scanner system. They do have a self check out system as well so really you don't have to wait in a long line here to purchase items. I do like how Amazon Fresh does host special events from time to time. Most recent one was "step into spring" where they had various samples for you to try and activities for kids. Last time it was during the holidays and they had Santa show up and take complimentary Santa photos and you get to keep copies for yourself so that was fun. Overall still a decent store for grocery but a definite win for Amazon returns. read more

We visited this store on a Saturday around noon. There weren't a lot of customers like an Asian market on week ends so the store looked spacious. It has the usual sections for a supermarket. The place was clean and not cluttered. Prices are moderate and comparable to other markets. One item that caught our eyes was the baby Bok Choy that looked very fresh at a bargain price of 69 cents/lb (regular, not sale price) almost 1/2 of the price of uany Asian markets. These Bok Choy turned out to be really tender when we later sautéed at home. The highly recommended this items if you like Bok Choy and happen to visit this store. Since it's an Amazon store, there are many perks for prime members including periodic prime days, a 5% return when using the prime Visa card plus free deliveries for first 3 orders of $50+. This is one of my favorite Amazon Fresh locations in this area. I gave up on going to the one in Mission Viejo recently due to their poor customer service. I appreciate the helpfulness of the associates at this location. I had to get one of the self-checkout items voided because I accidentally rang it up twice. No problem. The associate practically flew over to me straight away to assist me. I didn't have to wait for 5 minutes wondering if anybody can help so I can checkout and get going. No condescending rude remarks. Just pleasant, friendly, and polite service. The produce section here is very organized and well stocked too. I can just trot in, pluck out whatever I need, check out and leave. Very stress-free and perfect for someone who gets weary about going to stores. It's organized and clean and not.....overwhelming. Fun, even. I am looking forward to returning this week to do my weekly grocery hauls. This is a huge location, plenty of parking, and a very convenient spot for Amazon Returns. There is a sizeable ready made food station with lots of options for a quick meal, plus seating area to eat your food. They also now have a Krispy Kreme located inside. They have some very cool features, such as the carts that's will scan your food as you put it in. Unfortunately, I've had some technical issues with this in the past when it came to vegetables. It became a big hassle and held me up. Another cool feature was that they used my Amazon credit I had on my account to pay for my groceries based on the credit card I used being connected to my Prime account. This store definitely has a cool concept with lots of options. Side note: during the egg shortage now where most other places are out, they have a ton with no limit (but they are a bit pricey). read more

Amazon Fresh - Krispy Kreme - Grocery Near Me - Irvine, California

This Amazon Fresh is pretty good if you're a prime member. They have a hot food bar, fresh sushi, teriyaki bowls, and pizza. The hot bar is not as impressive as the food served at Whole Foods. I think its the same everyday, but for 30 minutes everyday between 6:30 PM - 7:00 PM you can get the hot food for 50% off. It's normally around $13-$15 depending on how heavy your food is. Amazon fresh grocery shopping is nice because you can pick it up in the back and the associates will walk it out to your car. I would just go shop in store though because not all of the prime deals on sale are what you think they are. For example, i thought i was getting a good deal on biscuits and the real thing was HALF the size of what I wanted. Of course, being an amazon, they do order pick up and returns for their normal Amazon shopping. Also, for checkout, you can't pay with apple pay or google pay if you put in your phone number first. You have to scan your in-store code and have it linked to your primary payment method to pay at the self-check out. Otherwise, cash or credit only. read more

There was a power outage today in Irvine for approximately 2 hours. I arrived at the Irvine store on Jamboree 30+ minutes after power was restored. There were signs on the windows saying that the store was closed due to a power outage. I looked in the windows and saw several people that fill special orders doing their jobs, plus a couple store employees doing work close to the front. When I knocked on the door, a lady over by produce saw me and ran to hide. During the 15 minutes I was there, at least 75 potential customers came and went. I decided to knock hard on the window to get someone's attention. An Hispanic lady, who later identified herself as the manager, opened the door, said that the store was not going to reopen until tomorrow, and that she wanted me to quit pounding on the windows (which I had already done before she had appeared). She was very rude to me, especially when I challenged her necessity to not reopen the store this afternoon. She obviously didn't care about her customers, or the company's need to be profitable. Having opened and sold two ski shops and pizza parlors, plus 48 years of selling and leasing residential real estate, I know a lot about customer service. If she was my employee, and I watched how she behaved today, I would have fired her on the spot. read more

Everything about this place is great. First, the store was as clean as I've ever seen a supermarket. Secondly, the selection of veggies n fruits n food was tremendous and priced right. This store is amazing! I loved my time here with my family. We shopped for all our needs and then ended up with 3 slices of delicious n fresh pizza. At $1.99 a slice it was perfect. I've used AF in Irvine 3 times. the first time I got precut old mushy vegetables. I called and they gave me credit, but that didn't help me with my dinner plans. The second time was ok but was delivered just about at the end of the 2 hour time. This third time they said it would take up to 5 hours to deliver a medium sized order (9 pm). They have no flash delivery like most stores - I even said I would pay for the delivery charge for a service like Grub Hub. But they said not available to do. I do delivery service for MY convenience, not theirs. I can see why they are closing down some of their stores. I'm very disappointed as I enjoy most of the services from Amazon. read more

For a variety of reasons, I decided not to renew my Prime membership this year. So before the subscription ended, I went to check out Amazon Fresh since I hadn't gone before. This high tech concept seeks to make grocery shopping more seamless and convenient. Their innovative Dash Carts have built in sensors and scanners to track your purchases as you drop them in. The screen will display a live receipt that shows you the total. Remove any product from the cart and the total will change to reflect that. Some items (mostly just produce) do not have barcodes, so you will have to enter the PLU (price look-up code) manually. Then you just drop them in and confirm the quantity since there is a built-in scale in the cart that will weigh your items and price them accordingly. When you're done shopping, simply follow the arrows on the floor and exit through the Dash Cart lane. Amazon will charge your preferred payment method on your account and send you the receipt by email. Prime members get 5% back on purchases when they use their Prime Visa. There are also exclusive coupons, additional deals, same day delivery, curbside pick up, and Amazon product pick up/returns. But looking at the prices, savings were pretty minimal. There are some 365 brand items I would go back for like supplements, hummus, and frozen pizza. Wasn't too impressed with the quality of the produce overall. I like Costco's peanut butter filled pretzel snacks and wanted to try Amazon's version-- theirs is too salty, I don't recommend it. No plans to visit again since I'm no longer a member, but it would be cool to see some of that Dash Cart tech show up at other grocery stores! read more

This was my first time visiting the Amazon Fresh store, as we came to return something we purchased on Amazon. The return process was quick and seamless, which I really appreciated. While we were here, we decided to explore the store. The coolest thing were the high tech shopping carts, which you can use to track your items as you place them inside the cart. While some produce and pantry staples were reasonably priced, most things were priced a bit more than other grocery stores in the area. While this store is a decent choice to pick up a few items (coupled with the Amazon Prime discount), I wouldn't make it my primary grocery store based on the price. However, it is open until 10PM if you're a night owl, and also has a Krispy Kreme attached to the store if you're looking for that. Overall, 5/5 for the Amazon return process (although it would be more convenient if we can do returns at the front of the store), but 3/5 for the grocery store (based on price and selection). read more

Until today's fiasco...I preferred Amazon Fresh delivery to any other. NOT NOW.... I used a grocery delivery service since I am older and have arthritis. Every time until today they bring the food to my apartment door as the instructions I detail indicate. TODAY... the driver put cold/perishable food into a Parcel Pending locker in the mailroom downstairs...????????????????? WHAT!!?? Never has anyone done that..the apartment office said no one has ever had that happen with cold/frozen food either. I had to borrow a cart and make a couple of trips to drag the groceries to my apartment. Ruined the idea of delivery and convenience!!!!! That driver should be FIRED. read more

I came here to return something I bought on Amazon and ended up coming to this store. This place is huge, very clean, very organized, and the staff is so nice. I wasn't going to buy anything, but they had slices of pizza available and I was hungry for dinner. I bought one slice of pizza which was the size of two slices and I bought of package of candy for dessert. Total price $3.41 with my Prime discount. The pizza was $1.98 which was a great price for the size and quality. I had things to do so I had to leave, but I will definitely be back another time to investigate the store. Wow, the service here was pretty bad. I asked the greeter at the entrance where I could find frozen pies, and he just rolled his eyes and gave me a 'no idea' gesture. That was it. It's the first time I've ever had a grocery store employee respond like that. Usually, they'll at least say they're not sure and point me to an aisle, or ask someone else for help. This place WAS great BUT awful all at the same time. I've had them take returned items and not scan them, so I had to go back and get them to give me a refund or stay on hold forever or go and try to message someone but they only transfer me to random people and it says it'll close the chat if you don't respond in two mins but it takes them 5 mins to reply so I have to continue to explain my situation over and over to new people that never help me, and if they do it's like 3 out of 5 times. They say they'll fix issues and then don't follow through, I've had to talk to supervisors to take the time to reread the chat so I didn't have to repeat myself only for them to not honor what the last person said they would do. I am not sure it's even real people because all of the names are 15-20 letters long. I can't call the store directly and they have been closing it randomly for a day here and there and I have to physically go there to figure that out. I am constantly getting gross used items mailed to me and have to go through the process of returning it and ordering something else. I used to love Amazon because of the convenience. Now it's not convenient at all and I am strongly considering old school shopping at this point. I'm about done with Amazon as a business. read more

A $10 discount didn't get applied when checking out. They tried issuing a refund and the staff told me it's been processed without providing a receipt. I checked my account online but don't see any pending credit posted. I asked them to pull up the system and was told they can't do anything in the store and I had to call Amazon's customer service. I called Amazon while in the store, after waiting and connecting with different departments, I was told by Amazon that they cannot do any with transactions in the store so I need to speak with the store manager. I asked for the store manager and spoke with Jason, the store manager at the time. He told me to wait 24 hours for the refund to show and to call back if the refund doesn't show up. I called after 24 hours, waited on hold for over 60 minutes. NO ONE PICKS UP THE PHONE. Not to mention that their phone number cannot be found online. You would need to call Amazon customer service just to find their phone number, which doesn't make sense. Now I have spent hours on the issue and multiple tries, but still, no one picks up the phone at the store. Really unpleasant experience. read more

Super disappointed. If I could give zero stars, I would. The Saturday manager needs to be reprimanded by higher-ups because this is not acceptable. I am sitting here eating a kale salad with chopsticks because there are no forks anywhere. There's garbage in the fork container, we asked the guys over by the pizza area for forks, but no one seems to know or care. We also asked for small soup containers because the large ones are just too big. The place is filthy and needs to be cleaned. The garbage is overflowing. I don't think anyone's wiped the tables down in quite some time. We asked for the manager and no one can find the manager either so we called Amazon fresh. They transferred us to the local store, and we went through the phone system, but then they disconnected us. Well, now I know I can master eating anything with chopsticks and that includes the kale Caesar salad with croutons. The cheddar broccoli soup was delicious and they did have spoons luckily. It's a reasonably good medium-sized grocery store which has all the basics. Given that Amazon also has Whole Foods, there's certainly an expectation that AF will be similar, and to a certain extent, has similarities. It does. The layout is open and clean. The shelves are large which also means they look perpetually half-empty. They are not badly stocked...it just often looks like it. That said, they generally have a good selection of most grocery, produce and meat items. read more

Wow! What a change, this is the second time going there. The first, I was pleasantly suprised by the quality and low prices. This time, not at all. The prices are much higher on most items - I know that things have gone up- but more than Ralphs, or Whole Foods! All produce looked sad, the bananas I bought went bad the next day! There wasn't a lot of variety in product either. The only reason I bought anything was that I went to World Market next door. I didn't want to make a trip to another grocery store. I will not be going back. I sincerely hope that this isn't where you get your amazon delivery from. I love Whole Foods; prices and quality is fantastic particularly coupled with Amazon Prime discount. I will just go to Whole Foods, or Trader Joes from now on. read more

On google maps and on yelp it said that pets were welcome but when I got to the front of the store a sign said that pets are not welcome, I still went in with my little pup and no one said anything which was confusing (My dog was in a carrier sleeping),please change your google maps "good to know" but you should definitely try their orange colored rice, buffalo wings, Brussel sprouts, and pasta salads. read more

I like the novelty of shopping at Amazon Fresh and enjoyed checking out the selections in the different sections. The line to obtain the Smart Carts was too long to bother with, besides, it was a very hot day and we didn't have ice or cold packs to preserve any food. Prices are whatever, frankly. For every good deal there's something average or proportionately higher. I did approve of the readily available apertivo supplies, lots of Prosecco and bitters, a decent quick grab champagne area had some cut above producers. The meats looked good but not great, produce seemed on par with Ralph's, and while I wasn't hungry enough to look hard, the deli and quick eats area seemed interesting. I would return though if nearby, and if I had a prepared cooler I'd consider getting essentials or snacks. For now, it's a fun browse. read more
