Mercer County Chimney Services - Chimney sweep in Hamilton Township, NJ

Mercer County Chimney Services

We needed a new chimney service company and selected Mercer County Chimney after some research…read more Tyler and David came right on time. They were pleasant and professional, explaining everything in a level 2 inspection and cleaning. They took a lot of pictures inside and on the roof and explained in detail the things they found. They were done in about 45 minutes. Both of them were careful and cleaned the firebox thoroughly. They explained the condition of the box and the pipe and flashing on the roof. We're very satisfied with their service and will certainly use this company again.

Mercer Chimney to the rescue! We already pretty much knew shoddy, half-@ssed work had occurred after we climbed on the roof and inspected it ourselves. The previous contractor had really made a mess of things. MCCS' inspection revealed in detail the shoddy half-@ssed work by the previous contractor. The flue tile mortaring was found to be substandard and a metal liner was fitted. All of the flashing had to be removed and re-installed properly. The gaps between the chimney and house siding were properly caulked and sealed. The first contractor had promised waterproofing but MCCS' inspection found no waterproofing sealant had been applied at all. All in all Mercer Chimney did an excellent job making all the necessary repairs. They are professionals who do quality work. They will answer any questions you may have and office manager Holly is awesome. We only wish we had known about them and hired them in the first place.

These brothers are the best in the biz! It's been more than a year since they came to replace our…read morechimney flue, which they did in one day at half the price others had quoted. They also repointed the bricks, sealed the flashing, and waterproofed the chimney, which solved a long-recurring problem of rain pooling in the attic and leaking into our bedroom ceiling. Everything they fixed stayed fixed. Referred them to neighbors and friends. My only regret is not thanking them more effusively for their stellar work. You guys are the tops! Hope this review brings many new clients your way.

After having roof work done by a roof contractor I discovered a leak in my ceiling by the chimney…read morechase where it penetrates up and out the roof. Calling back the original roof contractor and informing them of the leak they said I needed to replace the siding of the house in the area of the chimney chase at the tune of $4000!! I then began calling other various contractors for this repair and was told all kinds of BS, from having to rebuild the chimney chase, having to wait as they were too busy, too cold (it was December) and told to wait until spring, etc. It was a bad leak and causing damage to my home not to mention the stress caused on me being at the mercy of contractors. So... I kept on searching contractors and came across Up On The Roof Chimney Sweep during I'm sure their busiest time of the year like everyone else's. However Up On The Roof Chimney Sweep promptly returned my call, took my information, promptly came to measure the chimney chase and came back with a reasonable price and did not take advantage of my situation! I scheduled the job with Up On The Roof Chimney Sweep and could not be happier with the quick prompt service and results that were received! It has been a full 2 months with some heavy gusty rains and no leak so this job was given the test of time! There is barely any worse feeling than being at the mercy of contractors when you have a situation that needs to be correctly fixed in a timely matter and not at a contractor's convenience. Up On The Roof Chimney Sweep not only fixed my chimney leak but relieved the awful stress on me from the start with their integrity, price, answering all my questions, and all the way to the finish product which looks great too! I highly recommend Up On The Roof Chimney Sweep and will definitely use again!!

So I'm going to give this place mixed reviews for a variety of reasons. In reality its 2.5 out of…read more5 stars but I can only give 2 or 3 and since 3 is rated "A-OK" I will say its basically "ok". Read below for the details if interested. Nothing shady about this place, etc. from what I can tell.... but basically what it comes down to is bad (not poor) customer service that needs improvement. They did however deliver a quality product. My experience: Recently used them for a fireplace gas cleaning. It took multiple attempts to reach their customer service department who, frankly, wasnt very efficient in responding to my call, but was very quick to just book the service and provide details of what is involved in regular maintenance. I was at least pleased to get the impression they knew what they were doing and maybe the individual scheduling appointments was just having a hectic / busy day. At service, the technician arrived, cleaned the fireplace, and in general, did a very nice job. Thumbs up. However after he left (which was probably a little too quickly to try and run out the door before ensuring it fully works), we noticed a problem in that something electrical went wrong that had never happenned before (because our power had gone out and a circuit blew). We called to address the issue and it "needed to be discussed" before they would talk to us about it, The resolution was to send the technician back out. I however did not like the fact that we were initially dealing with a sales men who tried to blame us for doing something wrong when we were just calling for a regular maintenace checkup and after the checkup the fireplace didnt work (whereas it worked perfectly fine prior to the servicing). We should have been dealing with the service department, store manager, etc. Technician came back out, was once again very professional, looked things over and concluded there was definitely something wrong electrically but he wasnt sure what and that an electrician would have to review it. So back to calling the home office. After some more debate, they agreed to send an electrician out to review. Electrician did an excellent job, figured out that something went wrong (clearly after the maintenace but didnt say why/how), and promptly fixed it. Thumbs up to the electrician. However then they tried to charge us for the service after having previously agreed that they wouldn't unless major work was needed. In the end though they held to their end of the bargain... just it wasnt a very pleasant experience... but we do realize that sometimes mistakes happen and hopefully that was just the case in the first technician doing something accidentally that caused a problem. At least now everything works and is back to normal. Its unfortunate they had to make 3 service calls but because they did (and despite the bad customer service), next time we have a problem or require service I will still give them an opportunity to earn more of our business. This could work out for them in the end anyway because we are considering changing the fireplace mantle, stone, etc. and I really know of no other place to go than East Coast.

Our technician, Yuriy, was exceptionally professional and polite. He kept us updated on his arrival time, wore shoe covers throughout the visit, and was extremely gentle when accessing household fixtures. A technician…read morecame to my residence on Oct. 5, 2026, to perform a diagnostic and tune up on my heating system and a diagnostic on my AC system which was not working. Immediately upon his arrival, the Inventi Service tech took one look at my heating system and said "we don't work on electric heating systems" and that was that... no diagnostic - no tune-up. Then, he looked at my AC system and said that the reason why it wasn't working was because it wasn't receiving any electrical power. When I asked him if he could repair this problem he said that he couldn't because he couldn't figure out why it wasn't getting any power and that I would have to call an electrician to have this problem fixed. Then he said that because there didn't appear to be any way to power on the AC system, he couldn't perform a diagnostic on it. So, he ended up doing absolutely nothing to either the heating or AC systems. Then, he had the nerve to ask me how I was going to pay for his "heating and AC systems diagnostic service"! When I pointed out that he hadn't performed any diagnostic procedures of any kind on either my heating or AC system he replied that it didn't matter - I still owed him $100! The next day, a technician from another HVAC service company, O'Ryan's Heating and Cooling, came and performed a full diagnostic on both my heating and AC system (which he was able to power on simply by locating - and flicking on - the AC power switch!) and didn't charge me anything to do those diagnostics! So, you can see that I certainly DO NOT recommend that anyone use Inventi Service for any heating and AC service they may require.
